A pochi chilometri da Valona, percorrendo una "strada" che attraversa un grande bosco, si arriva ad un isolotto situato nella Laguna di Narta. L'isolotto prende il nome di Zvernec, collegato alla terra ferma da un ponticello in legno. Il monastero ortodosso di Santa Maria che ci si trova sopra, risalente al 13-14° secolo e abbandonato nel 1966 quando è cominciata la campagna dell'ateismo voluta dalla dittatura di Hoxha, è miracolosamente sopravvissuto al suo stesso abbandono. La porta che conduce al piccolo altare era chiusa, ma da una tenda leggermente spostata sono riuscito a "prendere" questa immagine, senza badare troppo alla composizione.
