Hello everybody, anyone has the same problem too many notifications? Always 99+, sometimes just want to see the reply from author or the reply to my comment only. Any filter function to hidden the comment of other people? Have a good day. |

That would be a nice idea - a filter! If you have the time to separate what you would like to see, you can close the information stream by clicking the red cross of each shot... But it's only symptom control... Chris |

Hello Chris, Thanks very much for your reply. I tried to click the red cross but still 99+ very fast. My filter idea is from facebook. The author can reply only to one comment and the system send notification to that person. Right now I may missed many reply due to too trouble to see all notification. Philip |

Same here. But due the lack of time to check them all. So the one and the other reply goes under... |

Yes, seems no solution until the system upgrade. |

Thanks Chris for replying to Philip's question. This 'system' is fairly new, about a year old and when it came in and I was inundated with pages of 99+ I had one of my moments of 'drama' and said that I would not ever make a comment again! Juza's intention, I believe was to encourage threads and conversations on photos to improve advice etc. It's fine if you only make a few comments, but for the more active members, where it can be 50-100 comments made every day, it can become impossible. I don't use Facebook, but other sites sometimes offer an option to receive replies, not to just receive all by default. It wouldn't be so bad if it were just replies to our own comment, but of course, it is to receive notifications of everybody's. There are two rather unsatisfactory solutions. Just ignore the 'service'. It will never show above 99+, but will continually rise into thousands. And replies to your own, in bright red, will move down and into page 2 and so on, as the backlog increases. But, you will still know if you have unread replies by the number shown in red. The way I do it, now, is to, at the end of, or start of each session where I comment, is to click the red cross on ALL images where I have not offered a criticism/suggestion or asked a technical question, apart from a few friends who's reply I look forward to. This stops the 99+ showing up so quickly, though you will still have a large number of red crosses to click. I much prefer to spend the time and effort to take the photos in the first place and not to spend hours writing comments and following photos. I like, I comment, I move on and suspect many do too. The system does need improving and so thanks for bringing this up, Philip. Juza is a busy man, single handed running and occasionally improving the website, so we cannot expect too much too soon, but it is true, he should be made aware of the system's failings and needs to be reviewed. |

Thats the point, dear Tim "to move on!" I rarely go back to commented shots, exept i asked something... So everyone will find his way... I wish you all a nice weekend! Chris |

You're so right, Desertcruiser. I'm actually glad I stumbled upon this great ExpressVPN review early on. I now know what to avoid and how many headaches can this cause if you want to keep up with everything. It's impossible. |

Thanks all of you reply this thread. Hope the system can upgrade later. |

Hi Philip The way I do it is to bookmark all of my own images as I post them and also those where I particularly wish to see the response to a comment I've made. I just let the other notifications accumulate but being able to select the Bookmarks filter means that I can read just the comments that are most relevant to me, if I so choose. Ann :)) |
