Hi everyone!

I am in a dilemma: for an APS-C body (EOS 50D), which one is better for portraits?
- 50mm - about 75mm equivalent
- 85mm - overs 125mm eqv.
Unfortunately the good quality zoom lenses are too expensive for me :(

Thank you!

Personally I prefer 50mm on Aps-c. Sometimes 35mm is a good choice for full lenght portraits containing some context. If price is a problem maybe a standart zoom 2.8 f can be paired to 50 mm. To say the truth these are only my considerations as an amateur who has a limited budget.

I always use the 50mm Zuiko 1.8 on my OM-1, today on the E-M1 i use the 28mm Tamron 2.8 that is a 56mm equivalent.
