Hey guys, I just want to know that where should I focus when taking a landscape shot ?

You don't mention the camera , the only advice I can give you is to focus about 1/3 of the way into the scene using a wide angle lens at f11 if possible and don't forget to include something interesting in the foreground.

On my screen it looks sharp, maybe there is some softness in the original, full resolution photo? in this case, the problem is likely depth of fied - you have a very close foreground, so you may need to stop down more, maybe f/16 instead of f/11.

Other than that, I agree with Grounded's advice about focusing at about one third of the scene.

In this shot I focused on one third of the screen. But well I will try again next time. Thanx a lot sir :)

you need a calibration tool, for example:

spyder.datacolor.com/display-calibration/

that said, since it is a different question I suggest to open a new discussion (here: www.juzaphoto.com/viewforum.php?f=45&l=en ) to get more opinions Sorriso

I really don't see any problem with your images, look good on my screen.

To know where you have to focus in a landscape to have everything in focus, you must use Hyperphocal Distance. Read about it. Once you understand it, it is very easy. Good luck!!

It looks good to me, but if it is a little soft it is possible you left the image stabilisation in the on position when it was on the tripod. This can actually cause issues, the IS works against you on a tripod

Yeah i knw that.. but well thanx for your help mr.muljao sir :)
