Pros: Solid construction, macro 1:1, sharp, present af limiter, pleasant blur, low price, hood with anti-reflective fabric, compact and lightweight

Cons: unstabilized, slow and noisy af engine, on Canon R6 continuous af does not work properly

Opinion: Fantastic lens: very sharp, excellent ergonomics with a raised band fixed on the barrel to increase grip and a generously sized and pleasant to use focusing ring. I really like the blurred, the brightness is in line with the competitors. It has a convenient limiter that works for both macros and portraits (or at least more distant subjects). Defects: unlike some competitors it is not stabilized (on R6 it is a non-problem, but on bodies without a stabilized sensor it could be), the af motor is neither fast nor silent (indeed, it is really slow & noisy). The lens works perfectly, always on R6, in single af, but in continuous af pulsates non-stop "around" the correct focus, back and forth, therefore unusable in this mode. Too bad... but with the engine that is found I do not think it would have been suitable for moving subjects anyway. The excellent skills in the macro field and for static portraits remain, so I absolutely recommend it, even in the face of the price at which it is found in the used (€ 200 in the store). Note: the hood even has the inner velvet.

Pros: Sharpness, granite construction and lampshade with velvet interior coating

Cons: Blurred hardness from f8 to MaF's average distance

Opinion: I bought this fantastic lens a few weeks ago and I'm very happy about it. Tried for Still-Life (Light Painting) where optical quality is the master. The lack of stabilization is paid for with obvious diaphragms closed in the macrophotography of insects (needs Flash and confusing circles show the unrounded shape of the slats). In Minimal Distance footage, it proves that you have the attributes (Fear Resolution and Fantastic Seal). Highly recommend

Pros: Quality, sharpness, multi-function lens, value for money, brightness

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: Very robust, almost entirely made of metal and glass, superb optics. It has an impressive yield and has two main functions: macros and portraits (and even landscapes, or rather, details in landscapes). It was very difficult to use on my D5200 because I was chasing insectines with the focus on the 1:1 ratio, without stabilization and without autofocus (it takes a body with an AF motor to have autofocus). On the D700 it is a whole different story: the skin tones are fabulous, the colors are fair and balanced and the weight of the machine is balanced very well by the weight of the lens, they seem made for each other. As for macro photography, the results are very satisfactory on both DX and FX. The D5200's 24 megapixels provide plenty of detail, and the D700's 12 megapixels give an almost "human" feel to macro photographs. I dare not imagine the level of sharpness on a D850, I guess you are hurt just looking at the image! Portraits and "detailed" street photography are still very feasible with this lens on an FX body, although you have to be careful of f/2.8 because the depth of field is really so narrow. Between f/4 and f/7.1 you make superb portraits and with the right light you get full-bodied photographs that give the feeling of being "three-dimensional".

Pros: Sharpness Tokina, good macro, weighs the right and has a nice sfuocatorn

Cons: No stabilization, it is advisable to use the lens hood

Opinion: I have not used it much yet but I managed to shoot some macros and use it also for portraits and not only and I must say that so far has given satisfactions from more points of view. Meanwhile, the solidity of the construction is accompanied by a relatively modest weight (considering that I also have its big-angle brother that is a boulder:) rnTokina has a resolvency, sharpness, really excellent levels, holds very well even at TA (poor vignetting and poor deformation ), tends to cold colors like all tokina but in PP do what you want.rnFor macros I can not yet feel to review it well because I've only done some test shots but already from these first impressions I can say that he was appreciated. I will return to the review to describe this aspect with more detail and be more objective. rnFor now I can only say to be happy for the purchase, we consider that it is still an f / 2.8 and therefore does not lack brightness.

Pros: Excellent sharpness, beautiful sound and great focus

Cons: Lack stabilizer but in the macro it is also less

Opinion: My first macro I found used and how it was new, I can not make comparisons with other macro lenses, but as the first macro lens I must say it has a great sharpness, beautiful solid as objective and well built, defects at the moment I can only find the lack of stabilizer in the macro does not matter, I have often used free-hand but in the macro should almost always use a tripod so the lack of the stabilizer is not felt
