Pros: TA sharpening, lightweight, AF

Cons: bracket a bit small, hood attachment apparently not very robust

Opinion: I tried over time other tele zoom (even on Nikon and Canon) but this is the only one that (on my A7iv) finally allows me to use the maximum focal length at maximum aperture and get a really sharp shot on the whole frame. I was really amazed. Obviously the other focal lengths are also up to par and the autofocus, once the multiple settings between camera and lens are tamed, is lightning silent and precise. I am absolutely satisfied and, given the results, I also find it quite cheap. Of course an F/4 would be better but you should gut your wallet and strengthen your back ;-)

Pros: Lightness,balance,price

Cons: Lack of a swing handle without a tripod.

Opinion: In spite of myself it lasted little or better as long as it was mounted on the Sony A7 r III everything ok, then day one day I wanted to look for the astronauts on the moon and I mounted it on the Sony A6500 with duplicator 2 X plus digital zoom of the camera I took some excellent lunar photos I was not in the skin!!!! Then after that I could no longer photograph a sparrow even at 26 meters. What had happened? not even Sony has been able to explain it to me.

Pros: Sharpness even with 61mpx sensor, autofocus speed, internal zoom, construction, price!

Cons: Lack of zoom ring lock

Opinion: Here we are after more than two years of use in the field, I can make a review of this unique optics. Unique because there are no lenses under 2000 euros, which are sharp at full aperture with a 61mpx sensor, and especially at 600mm like this!!! I know that someone will have to object, but when I read reviews of optics that have been tried for a week, even by one day!, or tried at home or in the garden (I'm talking about optics for nature photography), my knees fall. Not to mention those who compare lenses to 400mm or 500mm with this one. We all know that doing nature photography you are always short, so this lens must be compared with optics that reach 600mm. All zoom lenses (not fixed) that reach 600mm, have a dizzying drop from 500mm upwards, with dense full frame sensors. This one is not! At an incredible resolution even at 600 mm. This was the only real reason, in spite of myself that made me switch from Canon to Sony for nature photography (I still use Canon for other genres), I assure you that in Canon I was fine, and I would like to go back as soon as possible if there was a lens like this! Let's be clear a masterpiece has been made, internal zoom, weight 2115 grams, well balanced with battery grip, 600 mm at f6.3 all under 1850 euros! Fast and accurate autofocus even in low light. I'm not a lover of multipliers so I can't give my impression. I can only assure you that at full aperture it has the same quality as when it closes, so if you do not need to have more depth of field it is useless to close to increase sharpness.

Pros: VERSATILITY, WEIGHT, AUTOFOCUS (ALSO WITH MULTIPLIER)1.4X, INTERNAL ZOOM, COLORS, MINIMUM FOCUSING DISTANCE, SHARPNESS, SILENT, WEIGHT BALANCE, SMOOTH AND PRECISE FOCUS RING, CONSTRUCTION

Cons: COLLAR FOR TRIPOD WITHOUT THE CLICK OF THE DEGREES , LACK OF THE SET BUTTON

Opinion: PURCHASED IN JULY 2021 THIS LENS IMMEDIATELY GAVE ME SATISFACTION, IT HAS A PRECISE AND FAST AUTOFOCUS EVEN WITH THE 1.4X TELECONVERTER. THE CONSTRUCTION IS GREAT, YOU FEEL IT IS SOLID AND BUILT TO WITHSTAND RAIN AND CHALLENGING PHOTO SESSIONS. WHEN YOU USE IT YOU NOTICE THE WEIGHT AND THE BALANCE REALLY GOOD. I USE THIS LENS ON AN A7RIV AND I MUST SAY THAT YOU HAVE A FANTASTIC SHARPNESS TO BE A ZOOM FROM F6.3 ONWARDS (OF COURSE... THE BEST OF IF YOU GET IT FROM F9 TO F13 ), BUT ALSO AT F6.3 IT PERFORMS VERY WELL. HAVING A LENS RANGING FROM 200 TO 600 ALLOWS YOU NOT ONLY TO MAKE FAUNA AND BIRDS BUT ALSO LANDSCAPE (THINK THAT I ALSO USE IT TO MAKE MACRO FOR ITS SHARPNESS AND ITS MINIMUM DISTANCE). SURELY HAVING ALSO A 61MP CAMERA BODY HELPS ME A LOT IN THE MACRO BEING ABLE TO MAKE EVEN POWERFUL CUTOUTS, BUT OFTEN AND WILLINGLY I DO NOT EVEN CROP THEM (SURELY MY HARD-DISK AND MY CLOUD ARE NOT VERY HAPPY :) :). TO DO PHOTOGRAPHIC HUNTING AND 'ALSO EXCELLENT FOR ITS SILENCE' AND TRANSPORTABILITY' GIVEN ITS BALANCE. HONESTLY THE LACK OF CLICKS WHEN YOU TURN THE LENS ON THE COLLAR BOTHERS ME AND IS IMPRACTICAL. USING IT WITH THE MULTIPLIER I DID NOT NOTICE DROPS IN DETAIL AND SPEED 'BUT OBVIOUSLY ON THIS LENS (WHICH IS NOT' AS BRIGHT AS A 400MM 2.8 OR A 600MM F4 ) YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE DECREASE IN LIGHT THAT ENTERS ..... IT IS USABLE BUT YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT THIS COMPROMISE AND GET USED TO IT. REGARDING THE LACK OF THE SET BUTTON, MANY WOULD NOT USE IT, BUT I COME FROM A LENS THAT HAD IT AND I MUST SAY THAT IT HELPED ME A LOT .... WE HOPE THAT WITH THE LATER VERSIONS IT IS PRESENT

Pros: Zoom without extension, color rendering price definition (considering it is Sony) buttons

Cons: Personally I don't see any

Opinion: Purchased to replace another telezoom I found myself definitely satisfied, the weight is the right one for such an optics considering that the equivalent Tammy (only tried) weighs less but looks like a toy and did not give me a feeling of robustness. I took a few thousand shots before giving a judgment and I must say that on the Sony A7 III goes a wonder, the detail I find it very high compared to the previous one in my possession (which I do not even want to name but it was an "original") really fast focus well balanced and with very comfortable and intuitive keys. I was also amazed by the colors but perhaps there is also the merit of the sensor that I think has a weight in the yield but with a Tamron 28-200 that in any case I like the result is not the same. It is not that there is much more to add, I have not found any negative side and I am not one who is easily satisfied, now I look forward to the summer to put it back in motion.

Pros: Sharpness, quality Lenses, very quiet, lightweight, hooks for shoulder strap, precision and speed autofocus, weight balance

Cons: Zoom ring lock absent, aesthetic color

Opinion: Step from tamron 150-600 g2 which was a good lens, the only thing I regret is the zoom ring lock, being very sensitive as soon as you touch it changes... and personal opinion a lens so it could also be proposed black for those like me who do not want to spend € 100 for camouflage covers to be used in the woods ... That said, the rest is all pro.. it looks great but it is very light, very fast focus, good quality of the lenses much better than the 150-600 tamron g2. Stunned by the noise of focusing, there is no noise, everything seems to be off, even putting the ear close you do not hear a hiss, nothing! And finally a zoom with the hooks for the shoulder strap to be able to bring it to the neck without forcing the E attachment of the machine

Pros: Sharpness , internal zoom , maf , weight for lens type

Cons: I can't find any

Opinion: With this lens Sony did bingo . Exceptional sharpness and very performing maf . Very balanced for the internal zoom that makes this lens very usable even freehand. I use it on A7 III and A6400 that with the battery grip is balanced, on aps-c it becomes a 900 and if the light is good it churns out very nice and clean rows. I also find the price very good, in my opinion it is worth much more, good Sony that with this operation has managed to bring home many fans of nature photos. Absolutely recommended

Pros: Sharpness, price, lightness

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: After a year of use, I can make my contribution. I added it to an A7II that does not excel for AF, then on A7III, I found it impeccable from every point of view, let's start from the price that is really convenient for the goodness of quality, after prolonged use freehand, it makes you feel its weight that in any case remains really minimal and is easy to ride in the mountains. no external extension when zooming, much appreciated. Obviously not to be compared to fixed canvases. A good blurry. Slight loss with t.c 1.4x - 2x, as it should be, clearly begins to suffer when you do not have enough light, it is not a 2.8 . An expense that is worth every single penny, for quality-price.

Pros: lightness, sharpness even at TA, stabilizer, price, af, bokeh

Cons: don't have it, there are no against

Opinion: This lens is a small masterpiece for me. Already in TA, it has the quality a FILINO higher than the Sigma 150-600 S closed at f8, so more than good, but with an autofocus and a much better weight. Obviously the comparisons with the fixed 14,000 euros, are not even to be done, but considering the cost, it allows you to take off a lot of satisfaction and up close it is really sharp.

Pros: Lightness, incredible quality even at TA, works very well also multiplied, stabilizer, top price

Cons: For me none

Opinion: It took me months to make the step to get into ml I was pro reflex and the rest for me was bore and then nothing I decided I bought it and from there the love for sony was born and mirrorless I physically I am a bit of a Pippa before I had to always have the easel now I am always freehand I found the desire to wander in short I changed my life in the naturalistic world , I highly recommend this lens

Pros: Fixed length, sharpness, AF speed

Cons: at the moment nobody

Opinion: It was a lens that attracted me very soon to come out, but having the 100-400GM that works well with CT, I thought it was superfluous to have this one too. But I was wrong because certain features are really good, such as the fact that it does not change length as the focal length changes, which is very important in naturalistic photography because it introduces movement and scares animals less. Then there is the sharpness that even at TA is really good, even at 600mm, and I would say that you can not ask for more with such a lens. Finally, if we put that even with 1.4x CT the sharpness remains at good levels, as well as the focus, then I have no more doubts to recommend it. With the Sony A9 it is a perfect pairing, allowing a large range of focal points, and always of quality.

Pros: Light, sharpness, stabilization, size, zoom stroke and fire ring accuracy

Cons: is there anything against it?

Opinion: a fantastic lens, moderate price and excellent technical features starting with the brightness the sharpness blurred the speed of zooming via manual ring, fixed length !! and here a great engineering praise, almost impossible to let dirty between the lenses almost too many multifunction keys on the barrel, rubberized lampshade, used with the a7R2 seems almost to amplify the light, idem with R4 while with the A6000 the yield was average, obviously it is not an f2.8 but it does not cost 13,000 euros !! I highly recommend the possession of this magnificent Sony G lens that can absolutely not be missing in the kit of a naturalist photographer I am considering the purchase of the TC1.4X to bring even closer the subjects... we'll see if I make :)

Pros: I don't know

Cons: Maybe it will be me but on my Sony 6400 I am very disappointed.

Opinion: I don't see the sharpness of the images, I find them as coarse grain, I don't know how to explain them, the contours are not defined well, and the colors I find off. Is it possible to see a picture to see if I'm the one who's wrong? I would put photos and use of the shot. I would like your opinion and advice. I thank those who can help me in advance.

Pros: Sharpness, weight, construction, price, good stabilizer

Cons: If I wanted to find one at all costs, I would say the balance

Opinion: The thing that struck me most is the sharpness, already at TA it is excellent. I also have a 300m F4 canon and I have to say that the difference in sharpness is so little that it is negligible. Despite the very low weight for its category, using it with an A7R3 without vertical grip you still find yourself having a good part of the weight on the front arm. The responsibility lies with the low weight of the machine, in fact I will buy a vertical grip in the near future. The realization is of quality, excellent finishes and I must say that holding it you also have a nice feeling of rigidity and resistance. I would have liked to have had notches blocking the bracket ring in the various vertical and horizontal positions. The value for money I think is another great workhorse for this perspective and I don't think there is any better currently for these focal lengths. The af used with the A7R3 is very good but works wonders with the R4 and A9 first and second version. The lampshon I find excellent, a nice interlocking and overall of excellent workmanship with a "big" plastic not too rigid and with a rubber ring in conjunction with the end of the lampshon that makes everything more resistant to a possible (small) impact and makes it practical to support the "head" lens. The stabilizer works well, with a little steady hand you can take it at 1/320 getting pretty sharp photos. In every situation it is of great help, especially at 600m. It does not present chromatic aberrations, even with subjects in the backlight do not come out obscenities of unnatural color. Another advantage I find is the lack of elongation that guarantees the infiltration of much less poor and greatly helps tropicalization. Very happy with the purchase. UPDATE: I bought the vertical grip and I have to say that the balance is perfect. I also confirm the construction goodness following use in the rain and (un wished) an important impact that left no sign or consequence.

Pros: Sharpness, lightness, construction

Cons: No advantage used with tc, small and uncomfortable bracket

Opinion: After trying all the Sigma zooms, which I consider the best, on Canon and Nikon bodies, I arrived at the sony 200-600. This telephoto lens is by far the best in its category as an optical yield. It is sharper than any 150-600, 100-400 and 60-600, at any focal point and distance and already at full opening. It is sharper in the middle and has a much nicer yield in the out-of-focus, you could say that the sony 200-600 places itself somewhere between a 150-600mm and a super fixed. Greatly zooming in on the image on the PC you will notice that the maximum detail at 600mm reaches f9, but already at f6.3 it is more engraved and contrasted than a 150-600mm and the excellent sigma 100-400.On the long distance at 600mm it captures more details than a 150-600mm with tc 1.4x and 2xx. Therefore, in my opinion it is absolutely not worth using this sony with tcs, because it is already very smooth, and even just the 1.4x would result in an almost nil advantage in the middle and would disfigure the blurred. The sony seems to suffer the multipliers even more than the various 150-600. The constraining seems good to me, I would not say bombproof, but still significantly higher than a 150-600mm (excluding sport). The lampshade is perfect, solid and light, very practical and stable. It is very light, usable for a long time freehand, but does not reach the perfect balance of sigma 60-600, being a little unbalanced forward and with a really small and uncomfortable bracket. The front lens seems to me rather reluctant to dust and dirt, all the better. But not everything satisfied me, using it with a6600. The stabilizer is rather weak, coupled with a6600 does not get to 4 stop (and fortunately that the 6600 alone is declared 5.5 stop... !?!) and even in live view I can't stop the image perfectly to focus with precision. Another point against the use with a6600 is the sensitivity of the autofocus on uncon contrasted subjects... clouds, mountains or distant buildings, struggles a lot to hook them, and often does not hook them... It also struggles with the moon if it is not prefectly illuminated in the dark sky. At these times the Nikon d500 from which I come is light years higher... However for normal use, for sports photos and photo hunting even with suboptimal light there are no problems, and you can benefit from sony's fantastic autofocus system. In the package there is a very practical soft bag, (but that protects well from small bumps) in which to store the lens already hooked to the machine, protecting both. It costs a little more, quite more, than the other telephotos, but it is worth them all, and also its purchase requires a change of system for those who own Nikon, canon etc. But once you do, it's hard to go back.

Pros: Weight price etc...

Cons: Lampshade that is "attacked" with spit

Opinion: Used for the first time coming out in the shed for the roosters forks, paired with Sony a9II I found myself very good focus very fast even in scarcity of light, and by scarcity I mean that I struggled to see the subject with the naked eye. In that condition impossible to take photos except with very high iso and poor image quality, however I chose to switch to video mode and was surprised by how it hooks the subject and nn drops it more even if you find obstacles in front. Then went to the mountains to photograph ibex and surprise them walking with full lens of properly mounted lampshade the lampshade dropped and rolling took the course of the river fortunately with little water but stopped only after hundreds of meters. I recovered it and only a few scratches and paint skipped, solid construction at least. He reassembled and soon re-emerged.

Pros: price, internal zoom.

Cons: nothing relevant.

Opinion: Great value for this Sony lens that I bought about 4 months ago, very good also the internal zoom that does not unbalance its weight during use. The weight is also 600 mm. In conclusion quite satisfied with the purchase even if coming from a fixed optics (nikon 500mm f5.6) a minimum of trauma there was but obviously this I had already put in mind... rating 9

Pros: Price, image quality

Cons: 95mm filters, "focus distance" number limited to 825m

Opinion: The image quality for photos in the distant mountains is limited only by atmospheric turbulence (I use preferably the F/6.3 diaphragm, even with other lenses, my preferred diaphragm is between F/4 and F/6.3, to limit the diffraction ), so with the summer heat it is difficult to use over 300mm. unless they soar a lot in the early morning. In the summer I will use the Sony FE 70-300, which is also lighter. In winter this 200-600mm goes much better with the cooler atmosphere, but you have to avoid taking photos in the direction of heated buildings (Baites or groups of houses, even if they are a bit far away, "move" the atmosphere and spoil the photos ). I would have preferred to have the drop filters in the back as on the supertele, but I found a good 95mm polarizer. (paid 190 euros ) which I use for haze reduction when sunlight arrives with the right inclination. This is the best telephoto in my possession. Small defect : number "focus distance" limited to 825m, I did the calculations, the missing numbers that should appear on the electronic viewfinder of the Sony series A7R2 and later are : 1031 – 1375 – 2064 – 4135 - infinity. I'm waiting for a new firmware with the fix, the missing numbers. That's why I opened a forum with the title "Manual focus with Sony A7 series cameras".

Pros: Wide focal excursion without stretching the barrel, good construction and good also the AF

Cons: Price, ridiculous bracket, a bit soft at 600mm

Opinion: Such a zoom is bought to use it especially at extreme focal points, 500 and 600mm. Here in diaphragm all open (6,3) I find it a more soft. On the other hand as maximum opening is similar to the competition in this price range, with the difference that it costs more. It is usable quietly with the TC 1.4 X but it becomes an f/9 and then it takes a lot of light to not go too far with ISOs. I recommend replacing the bracket that is too short. I took from B&H in U.S. a "Wimberley AP-620 Replacement Foot". Ultimately it's a good zoom with some obvious limitations, but for me the optical quality is a little lower than the small 100-400mm GM. Better to use it with an A9 than with an A7 as I do because otherwise the noise becomes harder to handle. Promoted with reservation. The freehand weight is still felt, although less for example 6 or 700 grams compared to the Sigma Sport 150-600 that I also had.

Pros: All

Cons: nothing perhaps the short stirrup.. but it is remedied ...

Opinion: I write from amateur who likes to try everything ... Canon (all canvases) - Nikon (still i keep part of my kit d5 d850 500 f4) ... Sigma... I'm not a fan (I like all brands), a camera is like a pen nel for a painter , I have to say that this is the best lens I've tried, in value for money. Since I use it I see my canvases sporadically, with the established bodies of the ML you can take freehand photos at impossible times.... and the autofocus is very fast, in the ranks of 300 2.8 (not duplicated), the sharpness is exceptional, highly recommended...

Pros: Hands down the best super-tele zoom out there

Cons: Lower bracket too small that does not facilitate transport

Opinion: Lens that is rightly bringing frightening sales volumes to Sony, and it is not uncommon for us to give us waiting times equal to a 600 f4 to have it. The reason is simple: Sony takes the merits of every super-zoom in circulation, and eliminates its main flaw: the external zoom. This is in fact the biggest flaw of any lens in this category: it impacts the balance, makes it difficult to zoom without an easel, and not least it affected the tropicalization and structural rigidity of the whole. Sony has managed to implement an internal zoom, which although not very fluid (not that of a 70-200 2.8 ), works well. For the rest there is little to say, on 24mpx already at 6.3 the sharpness is enough, closing the diaphragm serves just to increase the PDC. Merit note is also a pleasant bokeh, which will lead us to exploit the out of focus in an artistic way, as we would do with a fixed. The focus speed is brutal on the A9, and apart from extreme conditions, it will work impeccably. The only flaw I find at this lens is the lampshade without internal zigzagging, and an easel attack too small that makes freehand transport a hell. It is now the only usable Sony super-tele, spanners and spans above a 150-600 sports adapted, which absolutely does not hold up the comparison. I don't find the slightest focus distance a problem, usually with the 600mm I don't shoot birds at half a metre. Needless to mention filters or metal lampshades, they are finessefrom super-tele that cost 6 times as much, and inserting them between the cons would be silly.

Pros: Weight, cost, image quality

Cons: minimum focus distance, and soft image at maximum extent with low lighting

Opinion: I agree with what my friend Pier (Nangi) wrote, I experienced it on a safari a Kenya, just purchased, and having done very few shots before, I can say to be very satisfied, I encountered some small problems of uncertainty, before dawn with little light and with animal hidden in the bushes, but are limit cases for which it would have been useful an f2.8 lens, which would have doubled my backpack and its weight would have exceeded the limit of 8 kg. My photos are in the My Africa folder.

Pros: Price, Center/Medium Sharpness, Inner Zoom, Internal Focus, Stabilization, Speed' Focus, 11-Blade Diaphragm, Short Zoom.

Cons: Lamplight, 95 filters, brightness, focus limiter, minimum focus distance,

Opinion: Still to try well, since he arrived yesterday. As far as I can tell, the first impressions are positive. I would have frankly preferred a 300-600 but f/5.6 fixed, or directly a 600 f/5.6 maybe slightly smaller (say along the lines of the old 400 Canon f/5.6). As for the lampshade, even if it is not a lens to use with polarizers, it lacks the window to turn the circular polarizers (assuming they exist of 95mm). In addition, the bayonet attachment is pressured and does not have an outlet button. It's not a problem but I hope it doesn't break easily with time. It would have been interesting to have the drop in filters as on super telephotos. The lens handles well freehand and is not front heavy. The minimum distance is 2.4 meters and the limiter from 10 meters is a little too much in my opinion. Maybe starting from 6 meters was better (like the Canon 300 f/2.8 L IS II) but it's true that the Canon 500 II also starts from 10 meters. Frankly I expected (but I already knew') that the f/6.3 started at least 400mm, instead it starts from 300mm (slightly more;let's say 320). It's not a huge, and I've seen that in most cases it doesn't have much impact on the increase in Iso (as an example it goes from 400 to 600 iso about then 1/3 of stop). It remains the talk that I now find both the 100-400 GM and the 70-200GM. But I love the 100-400 so I'll keep them all and use them with different machine bodies. I'm waiting for the Mark IV to see how it behaves in crop mode.

Pros: Optical quality that allows the use of extenders in conditions of excellent light. Weight of just over two kg (760 g less than the Sigma 150-600 S) and internal zoomed that can be performed with the eye in the viewfinder, among other things excellent perfectly calibrated ring. Robust construction and excellent value for money. Best-buy of its segment. This zoom offers the best performance at the longest focal point, which is the most used in bird life.

Cons: Discreet vignetting with full openness especially at the major focal points. Sensitive chromatic aberration at the edges. Both also automatically correct themselves in Adobe Camera Raw and Sony's proprietary software. For this reason they are defects that do not affect the final result in any way.

Opinion: For those who do naturalistic, a lens that alone is worth a kit. Impeccable optical quality at all focal points, which further improves by closing the iris of a stop. The cost, given its optical performance and internal zooming is no less than 40% less than its real value. An optics that it is advisable to have, transportable even in the mountains thanks to the weight of just over two kilos. The sharpness at a great distance is also extraordinary, while maintaining a slightly lower detail than the fixed lens. The foot disassembles easily. It is a lens born for freehand use. I immediately found myself well even without the shoulder to which I am accustomed. Even though I'm going to buy a fixed in the future, when one of equal weight is available, I'm never going to sell this zoom.

Pros: Super sharp at all focal points, very balanced, weight low

Cons: Length, construction a bit cheap

Opinion: A beautiful surprise this lens that is produced by Sony's Chinese factories. Sharp, with a beautiful blur. In the focal points that are the same, he plays it without problems even with his half-sister GM (the 100-400), indeed in terms of sharpness is also superior. The GM is better built and is better performing as an autofocus. The 1.4x TC also bears good. In this case, I found better shots made with the A6400, compared to those made with the A7RIII even in crop mode. Evidently the dense FF sensor, lays bare the slight drop in sharpness using the TCL, a drop that you notice meta with the small APS-C. Note to the side: the A6400 churns out images that are better than those made with the A7RIII in crop mode. Evidently the advantage in MegaPixel (24 vs. 18), has its own because...

Pros: Clarity in particular at maximum extension, precise focus, stabilizer, excellent hold with Sony 1.4x extender. It is the "original" long optics in the Sony world that with such high quality cleanup of third-party competitors. As the focal changes it does not extend. The ability to mount screw filters of 95 mm diameter. It has a beautiful blur: this in relation to the 11 blades of the diaphragm that partially compensate for the "non-bright" diaphragm; Finally, the 200 to 600 mm excursion is just over a quarter of a turn, so it is extremely small. Equipped with an optical stabilizer with three modes, 5 Extralow Scatter glass lenses and an aspheric element, to maintain the image quality throughout the frame and all available focal points: speaking of available focal points, there are also a limiter of focal range and three customizable buttons for focus locking.

Cons: In low light conditions the MAF is not lightning fast and there is some groping. Weight and length without a cap of 32 cm

Opinion: This lens is excellent both in terms of yield and versatility. It gives the maximum to all zoom with a really great detail. The focus despite the very long focus is reactive, although there is some tenting in low light (tried on a9 at the first light of day). Effective stabilizer. I would say an extraordinary tele objective, the best compromise for those who practice wildlife and/or outdoor sports and can not sell a kidney for the 600mm f/4. Finally, a note that no one has pointed out (and which I have experienced in spite of myself) is the tropicalization that turns out to be without any uncertainty. I would conclude that the value for money is to be considered at THE TOP.

Pros: Lightness in relation to the focal. Barilotto that doesn't extend. Low price.

Cons: In low light conditions the MAF is not as lightning-fast as in 100/400GM.

Opinion: I've been taking it for a couple of days and I immediately fell in love with it. Perfect on the A9 I took away any misgivings when he managed to hook a hawk in flight. In poor light conditions it does not hook the subject as quickly as the 100/400GM but defends itself very well. Basically the best compromise for those who make birds or sports and can not make a mortgage for the 600F4.

Pros: Sharpness, long focal, Fast Focus, Stabilizer.

Cons: The only flaws and I would say necessarily of things given the type of lens, weight and footprint.

Opinion: This lens is incredible, worthy of bearing the name of G Master, although it is not. It tops all focal points, and even at full 600mm zoom is sharp to die for. It suffers slightly like all lenses the diffraction, if brought to f16, while at f5.6-9 is like a razor blade. The focus despite the very long focal is as bright and responsive as a typical 70-200 tele lens. Effective stabilizer doing its job. In short, an extraordinary objective canvas, even its price is not bad especially if we talk about quality-price is taken very well.

Pros: Weight, balance, handling, sharpness especially at 600 mm, speed of focus, the length remains constant as the focal changes, excellent duplicate cost.

Cons: The maximum focal point is about 550 and not 600 mm.

Opinion: I tried it together with my friends Valter and Gastone mounted on the A9 and A7RIII with optical lenses and with firm and moving subjects. It stands out for its handling and sharpness, especially at the highest focal point!! Light and above all well balanced. Fast and precise in focus. We compared it to the Sony 100-400 mm f 4.5-5.6 the Canon EF 200-400 f/4 L IS 1.4x (mounted on Sony A9 and Canon Eos 1DX MarkII) and the Sony 600 f 4mm. At the same diaphragm, at 200 mm it is slightly less sharp while at 400 mm it has the same sharpness as the Sony 100-400 mm. Compared to the Canon EF 200-400 f/4 L IS 1.4x has a slightly higher sharpness than all focal points especially at the longer focal. The thing that surprised me the most the sharpness at the maximum focal length, just below the Sony 600 mm f4. Clearly it doesn't have the blurry of the other optics to which we compared it. Great with 1.4X!!!
