Pros: Sharpness TA, weight, used price, colors, sunstars, distortion correction, CA correction, some degree of weathersealing (?), ability to mount 72mm filter thread (without front blob!), OSS useful for handheld shot as low as 1/8
Cons: some softness at 35mm TA, restore to good levels when stop down to f8
Opinion: Coming from M43, where ultra wide angle zooms are a pain in the ass not only because of insane high price, but also insane amount of distortion which are of course corrected by software but still visible even after post production... eg the notorious 7-14 f2.8 PRO lens (f5.6 in equivalent FF DOF with a huge blob element that prohibits usage of screw-on filters) which is one reason I bought into Sony full frame system together with this lens. In my country the used price of this lens fluctuate between USD $430 to $600 used; about 750 usd new hence it is an absolutely bargain when you consider this optic is made to cover the FF imaging circle! Compact and lightweight (exact weight & dimension as the renowned Sony 35mm f1.4 GM) for an UWA zoom that starts with constant f4, when compare to the likes of Canon & Nikon which is larger and heavier. Solid cold metal build which feels great in hands but the paint can peel off easily after several years of usage. In term of optical quality, this one completely smoke its siblings the 2470ZA in sharpness department. It can sometimes make really nice sunstars when used in some situations but of course it won't be as nicer than say the Zeiss Loxia series or Voigtlander... But with the Sony ZA, one can always appreciate the convenience of shooting in AF ;) Highly recommended for landscape and interior shooter.

Pros:Wonderful optics for color rendering / detail / sharpness, fluidity of the bezel, small light and stabilized, arrival at 1/10s freehand quietly....
Cons:Bah I do not know what to say, you may mark a little more easily than other optics, but on the one hand it is also nice to hear that you have to use it with due attention as a valuable object .....
Opinion:I have been using this lens for several years now, I have very little to say except that it has given me and continues to give me satisfaction ... I would buy it again quietly because it is the best combination of overall yield, weight and dimensions and even if it is an f4 in the end perhaps it goes down to slower times than a corresponding f2.8, because weight and stabilization allow you to go down a lot with the times, in fact I arrive at 1/10s motorcycle quietly, and I do not know if I would be able to do the same with an optics similar to f2.8 but heavier and not stabilized, so turn and turn the lack of f / 2.8 is thirsty very little, indeed I prefer diaphragms more closed most of the time for many reasons .... For those like me who love file quality, sharpness, compactness, lightness and versatility, this without shadow of dubio is a highly recommended optics ....
Pros:Sharpness, colors, construction, very few chromatic aberrations even at the shortest focal length, stabilized
Cons:Price
Opinion:An excellent wide-angle zoom for Sony E, very sharp especially at short focal lengths (it behaves very well even on very dense sensors: I use it on A7RII) The color rendering is excellent. The maximum aperture at f/4 for the lens of use that I make of it (landscape mainly) is amply sufficient. The weight is not excessive, especially if mounted on FF bodies and is in line with the offer of the competition. Ultimately it is a lens that gives excellent performance and built very well, even if the price of the new is really high. Another "flaw" that I can mention is that it has no internal zoom: given the focal range, I would have preferred a solution similar to that of the glorious Canon EF 17-40 f/4L
Pros:Sharpness at all focal points, construction, "standard" filter port, performing AF
Cons:Cost of the new, you score easily
Opinion:Excellent lens both from the point of view of optical quality and construction. It also has no problem with the a7r2 or r3's 42mp sensors. Af works very well. The ability to mount filters or screw filter port makes it versatile. As an F4 lens I would have preferred to weigh less but in any case it is not prohibitive, on the contrary, it weighs less than the competition. The cost of the new one I find quite elevated always in relation to the maximum opening of F4. The paint lines up quite easily. In any case, the pros are worth much more than the cons and the optics are definitely a good purchase.
Pros:Use in APS-C: compact, not overly heavy, great sharpness even at the edges (however very "natural" photos), excellent colors and contrast, use 100mm slab filters, fluid ghiere, not exaggerated cost (compared to 16-35 G). Great constriction, gives the idea of robustness. Tropicalization.
Cons:ENDLESS MF stroke (impossible to determine the infinity in night/star filming - you have to resort to digital adjustments in the car ..... and they are in pain)
Opinion:I'm (for now) using the lens in APS-C (on a6400). I would say amazing to every focal and generally to all the most used diaphragms (f.4 to f.11). The chromatic and contrasting rendering is excellent, even in photos at dusk and night. Flare seen only once with "visible" sun in photos. Very sharp throughout the photo (but naturally). Light (or not overly heavy compared to other choices) and compact is ideal for a mountain backpack on trekking. MF night a small "drama" to solve" (see "against"). Ability to use 100mm slab filters is a great advantage of slab size to carry (and cost). Now I'll test the lens in FF (a7RIII) and then update the review
