Pros: Very fast focus, operating speed in general, direct buttons to access many functions, large, bright and very nice viewfinder, good autonomy to be a mirrorless and much more.

Cons: Ergonomics, menu that must be "studied", at high iso did not convince me

Opinion: I kept it for a couple of weeks and my more than a review is an impression of use. Camera with crazy operating speed and lightning fast autofocus. When hooking in af-c it no longer releases the grip. For those who have doubts about the mirrorless viewfinder should try this. Big, bright and very true to reality unlike the OM MK3 I had. Excellent file quality, very sharp and clean. Very good dynamic range, allows for nice recoveries. The menu is nice elaborate but very customizable and once set to your liking it becomes very usable. The camera body is built very well but is compact and not very ergonomic, it seems that a piece is missing at the bottom as the little finger remains free and without support. The handle is close to the bayonet which is uncomfortable to hold. For those with medium-large hands like me, the battery grip is a must as it is uncomfortable even with normal or small lenses such as the 16-35 f4 and the 85 f1.8. It did not convince me completely at high iso, with the D780 I certainly did better at 6400 ISO, but also at 3200. In the end I sold it because for the genre I like (landscapes and portraits) it is wasted. I await the more generalist A7 III and I have some money left for a nice goal.

Pros: Excellent focus, high iso seal, workable raw, burst, no blackout

Cons: without a grip the handle is for small little hands, but it makes you forgive! small delay when assigning functions to programmable keys. but thinking about it better the only real downside is not having bought it before!

Opinion: use a9 mainly for nature photographs, birdlife, etc.; associated with Sony's very honest 200-600 forms a truly excellent pair. The only "flaw" I see is a slight delay, pressing the button programmed for an alternative focus (type from center point to zone, etc.), delay more in graphical display in the viewfinder than actual focus gaps; for the type of use I mentioned (birdlife and animals in general) in my opinion, among the mirrorless, it is second only to the brand new a1... the high isos are among the elements that make the 24 mega full-frame layered CMOS sensor formidable, as well as the incredible speed and absence of blackouts (try to believe!!!). a9 is an extremely versatile machine body, valid in many types of shooting, still current despite the fact that the project is now dated for this sector, today it is purchased at very "advantageous" prices compared to the presentation period. I prefer it to all the cameras I have had in the past, I will cite the main ones by comparison: Nikon D750 (excellent!!!) D810 D500, Sony a9 is as if it's joined and improved them in one machine.

Pros: Crazy overall speed, amazing focus, sufficient dynamic range and widely average. Battery life, very manageable Raw, high iso

Cons: Focus with little light and little contrast

Opinion: I waited a year before doing the review. A year where I was back the desire and beauty to photograph. And the A9 on this contributed as Well I admit, passed in a short time the problem of the menu (in my opinion nothing impossible and with a moment of patience you learn everything), set the function keys, the machine seems to come to life its own so much it is easy, pleasant and fast to use it. Very light body, well tropicalized, perfect with battery grip. An epochal jump from the canon 6d I had.

Pros: 20FPS, AF, second highest dial, overall speed, RAW

Cons: dynamic range a little poor

Opinion: I had A9 for about a year and I was totally in love with it from the first use, in sports and dynamic photography is a monster! Infinite battery and excellent iso seal, Raw files have a remarkable recovery capability! The only flaw perhaps the dynamic range that did not satisfy me fully and you notice it by making portraits or landscapes, compared to A7III.

Pros: All

Cons: Best handle with battery grip

Opinion: I joined the A7RIII the A9 and I can no longer stop shooting, it's a beauty to take naturalistic photos with this body, paired with the 400 f2.8 is a missile like Af, burst shots 20 frames are not wrong the flights of the subjects unique neo is that you find the full boards in a moment you have to opt for a cut from 64 to 128. the batteries last or an infinity even with the cold , the final file is a blast to put in place the seal to the iso is fantastic thing else you can say !!

Pros: Light, gust, AF speed, high ISO hold, batteries

Cons: Comparison to the RIV that I own the handle that does not drive me crazy, but with the grip resolves, slower in the reflexes when turning on and ready to shoot, double slot snot UHSII otherwise I do not know

Opinion: I wonder why they didn't call it A10, that's the vote I give them. Beaten aside, I come from over 10 years of Nikon, and my last reflex was a D5 so top of the range. I switched to Sony because neither Canikon house wakeup to do a mirrorless with these features and I didn't want to wait anymore. I just say that I have never tried it before buying it obviously I informed myself by reading a lot of reviews and opinions on forums but on the operating side I threw myself a little blind. My first outing was to make the martin that dived without even reading the manual, look at my galleries will not be works of art but the hook that has this machine in AF is stunning. The burst then from 20fps in electronic without blackout is really super, I also used the RIV but with the blackout obviously it is not the same thing. The menu is actually not as easy as Nikon you have to like all things read the manual and take our hand. I was afraid of batteries, when the D5 had infinite range, well with two batteries that weigh less than a battery of a reflex flagship, I make 1500-2000 shots so more than enough. The grip without the grip, for me that I have quite big hands, would be really difficult, on the RIV for example is already much better the grip has improved by far. On the other downside they could put the double UHS-II slot did not cost him anything and would certainly have been very useful. I took pictures of 20,000 iso that with topaz are photos as at 3200iso so also from this side test passed, other positive side READ READ READ MORE, this is the biggest strength of this system its lenses are half the weight compared to reflex is tut another life now I can take them anywhere.

Pros: Electronic shutter, autofocus, high iso

Cons: 12bit burst, aesthetics

Opinion: 9 and I'm! Eh, I know, I've busted: the a9 is a blast. I finally found my ultimate camera. The magic box. He's got everything I could want. It makes me feel calm, master of the situation, focused. For the Street it's the best! An electronic shutter without rolling. An autofocus with the grip of a Molosso: impressive, that if you don't try it you don't believe it. A really endless burst, a bottomless buffer. With the fact that I also own the a7rII for a few years now, I immediately became familiar with the a9 that however has the touch screen, which I felt so much the need for because it allows me to change the focus point instantly. Of course, accustomed to 42mpx files, I was afraid of comparison. But it went great. In fact, it almost seems that the photos of the a9, compared to those of the a7rII, have greater three-dimensionality. At high iso he behaves better, of course. At 6400 iso the files can be used without problems, just give it a duster on the fly with Noiseware. During the first two outings I used the flurry. Then I found that raw files automatically drop to 12 bits like compressed ones and I preferred not to use it anymore, for the moment, that so much street is not sports photography! Of the a9 II I would only like the lock button on the compensation ring (but above all the firmware update with the curtain lock of the machine sensor off). I don't know what to do with all that connectivity, since I'm not a professional. And then I don't make videos, so the UHS-II dual slot doesn't suit me. In fact, I have to thank the A9 II because, if it wasn't for its release, I couldn't have bought the A9 at this price. Aesthetically it doesn't drive me crazy. The Sony line is a little too anonymous, to my taste. Of course it's not as horrendous as most SLRs but it doesn't come anywhere near the beauty of a Leica M10, or an Olympus Pen F or a Fuji x-Pro2. But aesthetics leaves the time it finds. It's the substance that matters and there's a lot of it here. I mean, as I wrote at the beginning, I feel like I've finally found my ultimate car. And it's never happened to me before. Super recommended stra.

Pros: Autofocus, shooting speed and Raw management

Cons: Ergonomics (especially without battery grip), menu

Opinion: I'm a canon. I bought the A9 and I have to say it's a really special camera. MENU: complicated, not logical, but the level of customization that allows you to "build" is truly incredible. AUTOFOCUS: I squeezed it for 30 days intensely (although I didn't post the pictures). Everyone talks about it in an incredible way; It is, with some limitation that it is correct to emphasize. The chase does not work properly when it has to operate in difficult conditions of light, contrast and with a large number of disturbing objects (e.g. classic birds within a forest). Animal eye detection works only for a few and is greatly deceived by the filtering light inside branches and reeds (I preferred to unplug it). In the open field everything works exceptionally well. I think it is essential that those who buy this camera, read the Sony manual, watch the tutorials (especially American photonaturalists), properly customize the object and carry out n tests to become familiar with the instrument. Compared to the Canon autofocus, it's like talking about two different worlds; Setting the autofocus menus of the 1Dx mark ii with its 6 cases and tens of sub cases, does not allow, even to a professional, even vaguely to approach the performance of the Sony A9. MIRINO: I think it's a matter of taste. I prefer the opticikey; more precise in understanding when the subject is in focus. In the case of Sony, "you have to trust yourself a little" (but it almost never gets wrong). The non-darking during the shooting phase is, for action photography, something to try; to keep the subject in the frame and to react quickly to any trajectory changes. ISO: Personally I find the A9 in line with the competition. I have limited the range to 6400. The resulting files allow you to be treated with Topaz, for example, quickly and with excellent results. POSA LATITITY: excellent. I think it is important to point out that inside the viewfinder there is a stylized histogram that allows you to properly balance the highlights and shadows, before the shot. SENSORE: Beware of lens replacement, especially with a hot sensor. Since there is no protection (mirror...) it becomes a vacuum cleaner for dirt. ERGONOMIA: The camera is too small. It is necessary to buy battery grip (also indispensable to increase the number of shots, especially in the intense cold). Last mention I have to reserve it at 100-400 Sony. An excellent goal, in my opinion, superior to the Canon in speed and yield. Less in zoom management. I also had the chance to try the 600 f4. Exceptional, but at a really important price.

Pros: the state-of-the-art of modern photography. It has everything, spatial AF, compactness and lightness, quietness, long-lasting battery, amount of customizations, double slots, (almost) perfection! And the price: it now costs half of the Canikon flagships, and is worth much more!

Cons: as I say in the review, I find that the JPG produced natively is too far from the result of the same RAW file developed in PP with software.

Opinion: A monster. The A9 is literally, and simply, a monster. From 2012 to 2018 I used a Nikon D4; to stay in the yellow house, last winter I switched to Z6, in the (vain) hope that it would develop its ML system. Needing a mature system, as well as a level machine, I just had to land at Sony, and my only regret is that I didn't do it right away. Coming to the point, the A9 is what any photographer could wish for; combines the undeniable advantages of the ML system (silent and AF shot all over the frame just to say a few) to an autofocus system that is unprecedented in the world of photography. As the technicians of this house did, I do not know; the reality is that those who own it can count on an extraordinary tool, able to facilitate the work of those who work with photography and do not talk to us unnecessarily as some little boy on this forum often throws himself to cheer for a brand or for an a Lter. I waited two months to write this review, I wanted to give myself time to be able to make a reasoned judgment. And sensibly I say that I am based: the AF of this machine practically does not miss a shot, the tracking is spatial, the photographer just has to think about the framing. Even in situations really on the edge (very low lighting or backlight with the subject on the edge) is a tank, I have no words. Batteries last a long time, and the machine is full of buttons ready for any customization possible. Defects? I can think of one: while the RAW file is great, just as you can't say about the JPG, maybe I still haven't figured out how to set it, but the difference with a RAW developed with a specific software (use C1) still I have not managed to limar. In conclusion: thanks to the exit of the A9II today this machine can be found at about 3,000 euros; any photographer who is minimally able to use it, and not only able to write on a forum, at this figure should at least try it before speaking.

Pros: It's a great machine

Cons: Nothing, not even the price since it currently costs half of a flagship Nikon-Canon

Opinion: It is an exceptional machine, it has no defects. It turns out that it has the body of a mirrorless Sony and therefore ergonomics is what it is, otherwise I do not find any note that can be stuned. Let's go step by step: the yield is brutal at high ISOs, and if properly treated with Topaz Denoise AI, it will allow you unthinkable ISO shots. The image quality is superb, but with a 24mpx FF it's also a foregone conclusion. Skip these "normalities", let's move on to the succulent notes: AF, burst and BLACKOUT'S INSOR. You stand there firing volleys without the slightest noise, without ever losing sight of the subject. You have to get used to it, because the feeling of "am I really shooting?" is strong. When I had a 1DXII at the same time, it was laughable. The latter firing gusts resembled more of an AK47 than a reflex. The fact that the image never gets obscure, makes the sessions more hectic definitely less stressful for the eye, which comes out rested even after several hours. The AF itself does not miss a beat, you have to really strive to make out-of-focus images. The settings are really a lot, but even if you put "ample AFC" you will still take home the shot, without too much fuss. At today's sale price of 3000 to 3500 new is an absolute best-buy. It costs half of a Flagship Nikon Canon and offers much more. Especially thinking in a way of buying the "new", I do not see how you can prefer a D5 - 70-200 FL, to this A9 - 70-200 GM, which will even save us over 3000 euros. I advise all professionals to try it, so as to realize the real majesty of this machine. UPDATE: If you could post the conversation I had with a professional friend to whom they lent an a9 to 135 GM. He Nikonista always, "perculated" me for my adoration towards the Sonys, and after 4h of working with this combination, he stopped mocking me and started to ask me "Do I take import or italy the a9?".

Pros: High percentage of photos in focus with fast and unpredictable moving subjects, thanks to the frame totally covered with very precise af sensors. Great maintenance of the maf after docking on uniform backgrounds, a little less on contrasted backgrounds such as rippling water or trees or mountains. Great responsiveness also at very closed diaphragms. Glaciers that never accidentally rotate, apart from the over/underexposure one. Embarrassing shutter silence compared to 1dxmkII. Immediate awareness of over or underexposure thanks to the electronic viewfinder.

Cons: Small body, suitable for small hands. Stabilization with 200-600 can be improved, it happens to get some micromox files even with times of 1/3200 of a second.

Opinion: After 4 years of use of the Canon 1dxmkII with 500 is II and extender, I must recognize that the a9 is at least 10 years ahead for consistency af in the action photo, and of course by weight. As my interest in flying birds, responsiveness at f/9 and accuracy are embarrassing, compared to all Canon reflexes. My 1dxmkII barely made it to 30-40%. This may be due to the lack of the mirror, which by lifting during the shots interrupts the reading of the Af. The a9 body looks robust and compact, but without exceeding the weight. A camera easy to be transpoted and suitable for long working sessions in the countryside, but carrying a spare battery. High-quality mechanics with high-quality materials and high-precision dials. It struck me that they require a lot of pressure to rotate: practically unlike many SLRs, they never accidentally rotate. I find the file a bit noisy in raw, good the jpeg.

Pros: Af, amazing electronic viewfinder, adjustable lcd, gust, silent shutter, image quality, ISO hold, battery, handling, key arrangement, focus mode adjusting nuts, 693 focus points

Cons: White balance

Opinion: There are no words. Amazing. You don't miss a shot. A real gem. I come from 6d and shoot with the A9 became enormously easy (this could be a cons for some nostalgic, but I think it is part of the progress, as well as a time the focus was only manual and there were no zooms). Only the white balance does not satisfy me like that of the Canon. I have not tried other mirrorless, maybe it is a normal thing, but also the manual focus is an absolute pleasantness with the image that is zoed in the viewfinder and allows you to focus with a great precision. 693 Focus points compared to the 11 of the 6d...... What about, before I used very little the AI servo on the Canon, now I use practically only AF-C, and if you use the tracking function, the subject is followed everywhere. Recommended for both professionals, but also for amateurs who want to "jump" in some photo shoot... The car will help you a lot and you can be sure to take home the result.

Pros: The (almost) absolute perfection

Cons: Hard to say. I could say the price but it is certainly not the real cons of this top of the line.

Opinion: Well, gentlemen, here is perfection (or almost). But to my humble opinion is the best camera Sony and all other machines of various brands (Canon and Nikon in Primis) available at this time. This wonderful flagship I have from June 2018 alongside the adored Sony a7RII (great camera for resolution and not only). But this machine beats all the competition (Sony in Primis). Wonderful file quality, at R2 levels but with a higher level in the cleanest yield and the colors are more accentuated (many do not appreciate the color of Sony, but personally, I like). The auto focus is simply the best and offers the best of the best on responsiveness thanks to the full frame layered sensor (staked) perfectly follows the subject, calculating it 60 times per second, and soon will come a new filmware that from a touch of life to this Machine by introducing REAL TIME AF TRACKING and EYE AF TRACKING, as well as an improvement on white balance. This camera, is a perfect combination between the quality and responsiveness of the AF that from here on, Sony will point to the next line-up. Not to mention ergonomics and utility, large and durable battery, improved ergonomics, joystick, AF and burst rings, Touch only for auto focus, both in video and photo (if the touch were like the Canon, which also makes the shot). Technically I do not add anything else, that now we already know how the camera, perfect in all situations, even in the landscape behaves well, but it goes strong in sports photographs, Reportage, Street, Wedding, and more. Personally I can't find a flaw that makes me think and say: It's a perfect machine!!! Maybe a bit the AF, in some contexts (but not always happens) does not engage completely. But then for the rest, who needs to work in a perfect way, is the perfect machine for professionals, even for advanced amateurs like me... UPDATE: The 5.0 firmware makes the autofocus UNERRING, nothing escapes (not even the eyes). Great white balance but still can be improved, but for me it is the top.

Pros: The Revenge of the mirrorless!

Cons: No one to be the first A9

Opinion: I state that I come from Canon "professional" and that I arrived at the A9 after trying the A7RIII (for my type of photography has too many pixels to manage). Sony has unveiled the A9 as the ideal camera for sports photographers and professionals who need record performance but using it I tell you it is exceptional at 360 °. As soon as you pick up the Sony A9 the first sensation is that it takes your breath away: responsiveness and speed at the highest levels, it looks like a reflex and not a mirrorless, and the AF is very precise even with fast moving subjects. Needless to stand to list the features and performance that you can find from anywhere, my advice is to go and try it! The Sony A9 is a great camera with excellent performance, the benchmark not only in the world of mirrorless but also of SLR cameras.

Pros: Handy, stunning AF, digital noise resistance, EVF sighter, alien burst, built-in quality, dual slot, infallible with native optics. A camera that opens a new era

Cons: Price, menu upgradable, ergonomics to the top only with battery grip if you mount a canvas.

Opinion: SONY A9 ITALY - FIRMWARE 1.01 - VOTE 9/10 - rnrnThanks to everyone, I'm not usually making reviews but this time I try to give you some impression while avoiding the hacking data or functionality that you already know (af points, 5-axis stabilizer, ..) I also do not use VIDEO or very little so I will only talk to photo department, let's go: rnrnPress that I always used Canon Reflex, the last was the 1dx with different optics L. Why switch to Mirrorless? I meditated for 1 year I'm not a professional but I shot a bit of every kind from sporting landscapes to photos with low light moving subjects so poor situation, with 1dx I've never had any problems except some lost misses for failure to hook up the system AF in low light conditions (theater essay). Lightweight, bulky, features not available on reflexes and more are things that made me think of ML but lacked a model that could satisfy all of my needs, then the A9 came and the step was made, sold all over. AttI really have the A9 with 24-70 f / 4 (so much criticized but it's fine, obviously not for landscapes), Voightlander 15mm and the Sony 70-200 f / 2.8 GM (a bomb!). 3 optics to cover all focuses, for now it's okay. We come to the car ... rnrnERGONOMIA - VOTO 7/10 without battery grip - 9/10 with battery grip Initially misplaced, I did not find the commands, I missed the menus and seemed to hold a toy over the 1dx beast. Beginning to get rid of the menu to understand the logic, the manual is to be used is not needed at all but fortunately online is available the guide where just write the function in the search to finally have a better explanation, not always clear but at least i understood 90% of the car in these weeks. Having a 1dx hand is something else, let's just say. It will be the weight or the ergonomics I do not know, but especially with a canvas mounted by other sensations, in fact I get the battery grip on the A9 and then the question changes, quite another thing. I use it almost exclusively with the 70-200 Sony, all the rest not toFavor lightness and reduced footprint. After the first difficult shots I took my hand, now fast trip in settings thanks to the 4 customizable keys (C1 - C2 - C3 - C4) but also many other keys that can be replaced by the function, really convenient. The new ring of fire and shutter modes is cool, I had the A7r II for two weeks and the absence of this ring was devastating to me accustomed to the Canon system. I snap a lot of landscapes, if I first go out with a minimum of 3kg + backpack now I can afford to turn with scarce 900gr and a shoulder bag, great. Ultimately the ML system will never be ergonomic as REFLEX but it is a different philosophy, maybe it's also a matter of habit. As long as REFLEX exists this will be better if then one day will no longer exist then the vote will be 10/10. I would like to point out the existence of an accessory that is a half-way compared to the classic battery grip, you can not insert batteries in practice stretches the handle gWhere it ends our little, light and easy to have: GP-X1EM. As for the construction I would say great, high quality materials and a feeling of strength in the hands. Excellent ignition speed, not at 1dx level, let's say it's running in a couple of seconds. RnrnMIRINO EVF - VOTE 9/10 rnThe EVF viewfinder I really like it, in some situations it is even better the optician, but doing the tare in my opinion is superior to the advantages not the disadvantages, such as seeing a snapshot in full daylight Beach in the viewfinder has no price;) from the monitor you would not see almost nothing. As far as I'm concerned today, I would not go back to the optic. Bright, crazy, fluid detail seems to see a high resolution video, never a slowdown, brightness adjustable automatically on the basis of outdoor light. Customizable display information. Rnrn AF SYSTEM - VOTE 10/10 rnSeply PAZZESCO and one says it comes from a 1DX. Fast, precise, it does not blame a shot unless it's your fault. Follow a subject (fliesTile, eg) on ??the whole frame is something incredible, I photographed animals and children running toward me using extreme side points where reflexes usually suffer, no problem, on 100 photo 95 in focus. Not to mention the burst ... well do not overdo it because with 20 frames per second the SD cards filled it up right away. The fire is also hooked well in the dark, beautiful semi-manual mode where the subject is automatically focused and then with the lens ring it is possible to adjust the focus accurately with automatic zoom on the subject, another grain. Compared to the 1dx we know a more accurate tracking with immediate maf calculations, as well as covering almost the entire frame, for the rest not known differences. I use two 64gb SD cards of 150mb / sec (slot 2) and one 300mb / sec (slot 1) writing speeds only 2/3 times I tried to shoot unsuccessfully because it was writing, 2 seconds after I was running. RnrnSENSOR - VOTE 9/10 rnDo you can not have 50 megapixels with a burst of 20 frames per secondEcondo, 1dx II and Nikon D5 teach. Who purchases this machine must know what it buys, even if it is said that for landscapes it is not adequate I believe instead it is rather I do with 1dx figuriamoci. What is surprising about the sensor / shutter is the lack of "dark" between one click and the other we have to get used to it because the electronic shutter initially dissipates! It does not seem to be taking off I've activated the "sound" otherwise I do not understand how many photos I'm doing, even the fact that I do not undergo the black-out of the mirror requires habit but it's a revolution to be tried. Very good dynamic range but I was used to bad;) Very workable files, noise? Here I believe it is the absolute TOP market, snap to 12,800 iso is not a problem, where I first stopped at 6400. I never go over by choice, but really the digital noise management is impressive. RnrnBATTERY - VOTE 10/10 rnNo 1, but 2 steps forward. With battery grip (two batteries) I shot 1300 photos with charge, over double dWhat he did to make the A7r II. Considering that MLs make extensive use of electronics and monitors I would say the result is great, and the batteries are not as huge as the 1DX. Solved battery-mirrored problem and you can also load it directly via USB directly on-camera! (For example, in a car or with an external bank) UPGRADES - VOTE 10/10 rnThis feature did not know it, with Sony optics attached to the body machine you can update the firmware, woow! And I was used to the Sigma usb dock ... here too is a new era, congratulations. RnrnCONNESSIONS - VOTE 9/10 There is everything I need, even the LAN port but I do not think I will use it. Wifi comfortably, even here coming from 1dx makes me very comfortable. RnrnPREZZO - VOTE 8/10 rn For what it offers, it can not cost me less in my opinion, and still travels over 1000 euros less than the top reflexes. I took the ITALIA guarantee from ITALIANO shop at 4500 € in promo. Rnrn FINAL CONCLUSIONS rnThis is a system that makes 100% only with native e-mou opticsSo do not miss any adapter adapters even the Metabones have acceptable performance with the canvases. I could say a lot more but the juice is this, you have to try it to understand the potentials that are really many .... after 1 month of use and 3,000 shots I would not go back, the advantages are far superior to the disadvantages. I took home beautiful photos of holidays and I never got the feeling of being castrated in some situation, I never thought "I guess I had the 1dx now ..." and I think the long saying. It is a machine that can do anything, it does not excel in resolution so who has this need to think about the A7r II or the future A7r III (?). Some software improvements we can expect, an even more intuitive menu, for example, though improved, greater compatibility with SD cards, I would also like to be able to use some comfortable APPs integrated as on A7R II but here I believe it is a commercial choice. Another thing I would find helpful is the ability to view the histogramTogether with the level at the moment you can use one or the other but not together, etc. ... we are at the ver. 1.01 we will see ... rnSalute

Pros: Af, ergonomics, continuous af, buffer, general operating speed, precise awb, great files, key customization, battery life and much more

Cons: nobody !

Opinion: I have this jewel for about a month, I have passed from a7 to this and of course the difference is abysmal, I have customized the car for my way of shooting and it seems stitched for me, doing wedding reportage I needed a fast car And trustworthy that would allow me not to miss the moment! I have to say that until now I have lost nothing thanks to the speed of this monster, always in focus thanks to the outstanding and accurate continuous af, in essence is a machine for those who look for reliability and precision in his work! If someone thinks that 5300 euros are so many are wrong, they are justified by performance and reliability!

Pros: Sensor, dynamic range, bursts, manual controls, sight, buffering, robustness, battery, joystick

Cons: Missing picture profile, lack timelapse, maybe the price

Opinion: Of this A9 I just bought I say only: goodbye Canon and Nikon. Sony had already surprised me with the A7 series with which I worked for two years both as a photographer and as a filmmaker. The assumptions for this A9 c were all and obviously I wanted to try it. It was enough to make 10 shots made through that viewfinder that I would dare to define a science fiction, which, moreover, does not abrupt during the shooting to make me realize it was my car. Bringing in France for a 4 day wedding service I used the A9 for photos and videos in 4k, mounting both zeiss E series optics and Canon FD optical optics. Result beyond expectations. The overall quality of the shots is not superior to other top-of-the-range reflexes but they defend themselves as equal weapons. Compared to the files of the A7R2, the chromatic quality and the ability to recover on raw files and clearly superior. This sensor has the idea of ??storing so much data to give videos a very unique pasta. Eye to strong whites and LED lights that sometimes saturate the color but in general the A9 shoots professional photos at the top. It holds the iso and the burst with electronic sparestosa. There is a risk of ending a 64 gb card in the first two hours of work. For those who like me make high-end mid-range corporate video, the video output 4: 2: 2 in 4K is present on the A7 S and R series. A business storytelling the video quality and very good and despite the lack of video profiles and s-log2 it is able to soften it well through the drs and the contrast and saturation settings.rn Its robustness and ergonomics far superior to the A7 sisters give the feeling of security And stability you are looking for in a top-of-the-range car like this. Obviously the weight is affected by the series 7 but for me it is an advantage. With autofocus The A9 does not mistake a shot even at f 2.8. Thanks to its viewfinder, never seen such a quality in a viewfinder, you can focus on a manual without needing to enlarge the image, thus reducing working times. Really a jewel this 4mpx viewfinder. Double slot with all recording combinations, command to change from afs / mf / afc and type of shutter via ring, instead of fcn menus, also this one genialaWhich greatly reduces working times. It also has customizable buttons but are well set by default. The new joystick allows you to finally select focus areas more easily. The battery compared to the 7 Series and definitely more generous. With 1 or 2 batteries you safely bring home a whole wedding from getting ready to dancing. The general feeling after testing this A9 on the field and having something unique in the hands besides the top. I am very happy with this purchase and I think I will work with Sony for a long time. I do not see anything similar in Canon and Nikon horizons. Sony has now created a fine market for itself, but in many respects ends the need to use more expensive and heavy-duty reflex cameras. The current A9 price is a bit high, in my opinion, but I also wanted to be among the first to exploit the artistic and technical potential of the A9.

Pros: Fps, stabilization, better buffer than Sony sisters, ISO, comfort of a "sporty", good EVF, AF-C

Cons: Buffer can still be improved, price -you worth it, ergonomics excellent but still better

Opinion: It is the car that marks the end of every Nikon DX shooting shot for sport use and that puts Canon in serious trouble with its 1D series. Almost always 20fps do not all serve, sometimes they are just a burden, but take a training athlete in absolute silence at that speed, it has no price. It is also great to have the viewfinder not obscured at the time of shooting, to make the composition always "under the eye". Aesthetically similar to the sisters even though the substantial differences are in the controls that are now physical and no longer electronic: see the holes for choosing the autofocus or the shutter speed; Or the joystick to choose the MAF point - even if I did not find it very comfortable. I did not find any overheating problems and the battery covered 700 shots, in no extreme situations. With the latest generation Lexar, the buffer download time is much faster than the Sony sisters, but nothing to do with the Canon ones. All in all, transeat.rnThere are few improvementsThere is a body that gives you the impression of being firmer, it would not drift ... but it would not be Sony at that point.
