Pros: FF, possibility to use all the old lightweight optics

Cons: Everything else

Opinion: Bought in my " creative moment ", (you know those who come so spontaneously to meet your expectations without succeeding) I soon regretted. If you buy it used cheaply to mount the old glories in your possession, ok... After playing with it a bit with the old optics in possession, stove. Then you start shooting with the zoom provided and you get an accident once you see the shot in play ... Even an old cimko of 40 years ago is sharper I see it so small and I say ok I mount its and I carry it with me ... In the end I thank you for nn having sold the pen f and the Sony I use it only to play my old negatives with the 90 macro sigma. finished doing that I resell it .... Rating from 5 to 6

Pros: Full frame, excellent sensor (if you shoot in RAW) weight and size, possibility to mount any lens you can think of, fantastic manual MAF, price of the used to date

Cons: Unwatchable JPG, ridiculous AF, ergonomics of a 70s SLR, battery life, lack of some fundamental functions (see minimum times with ISO car), sometimes slow start

Pros: Viewfinder, file quality

Cons: Operating slowness, battery life, handling, bayonet attack "dancer"

Opinion: At the time I came in order from the Olympus Em5 and the Em1 but, I wanted to try anyway how Sony was trying to fit into the world of mirrorless. It was love at first sight but like so many lightning strikes, it immediately ended. The machine had an extreme operational slowness, from ignition to awakening from the stanby... a torture since my mirrorless background was lightning compared to her. Unfortunately, being Sony's first mirrorless, it was still an immature product; battery that was consumed only to look at the status icon on the display, the attack of the lenses that had a minimum of play but that gave a huge annoyance (also confirmed by other specimens seen in the store) and the handling at least for me not at the top. I remember that I tried it with the kit lens, the 28/70 which was decent only in good light conditions but when the contrast was poor, they were pains. On the other hand, I liked the viewfinder a lot, beautiful and sharp as well as the files that the machine churned out. Maybe I didn't have enough patience with the A7 and after a bloodbath, I sold it back shortly after returning to my beloved m4/3.

Pros: Raw image quality, size, optical pull and possibility to use numerous vintage optics, viewfinder and screen, second-hand price of about 400 euros for devices in excellent condition

Cons: Jpeg image quality, battery life

Opinion: The biggest disappointment of the a7 (purchased a few months ago used) is the poor quality of JPEG files. Despite being a high-end full frame camera that uses the same sensor as the Nikon D600/D610, the photos of the a7 suffer from many of the same problems as Sony's compact cameras (I confirm that my A5000 has the same problems) that are posterization and clumsy algorithms of sharpness and noise reduction. To get the best results, you need to shoot on Raw. Comparing my nikon D700's Jpeg files highlights an unsuccessful attempt by Sony, they have yet to learn how to produce serious on-camera processing. Recommended only for those who think about using RAW.

Pros: Full Frame very light, low price

Cons: Non-excellent build quality, battery life, AF

Opinion: I bought the kit car at a good price with the 28-70. I immediately appreciated its size. I don't have small hands but it's still great to handle it knowing that there is a FF sensor inside. Sensor churning out beautiful images. For the price at which it is located it was fine. On the other hand, the downsides should point towards another machine. And in fact, I resold it after about three weeks. Battery life is far-fetchedly tragic. I understand that only the electronic viewfinder can consume a lot but I would say that we are indecent. Construction is not the best. You feel like you have a little toy on your hands. Perhaps also because of the derisory weight (Pro). Autofocus does what it likes both in very bad light conditions and in optimal light conditions. If you want to work, you work. But some days it's dazzled and you won't get anything. I am much more reliable with manual MAF as well as faster. All also with the optics in the kit. Overall to be recommended to those who want to enter the FF world without expecting characteristics from "Grande".

Pros: Size,weight,sharpness

Cons: Everything else....

Opinion: Premise... I wanted to go from a professional APSC like a Canon 7D to a full frame that I thought was worth the ride.... luck was receiving the A7 before giving away as a trade-in the canon.... I immediately returned to my steps... As soon as you take it in your hand you realize it's not a professional car, but something to take around on a trip, or out of town.. very limited optical park.... And use that little bit that is at really prohibitive prices.... I honestly advise against it from every point of view (photographic, I do not make videos) even at 200€ I would not take it ...

Pros: Lightness, small size, ergonomics, battery life, full frame, price

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: I bought it at a good price some time ago, it never gave me any problems and it has always been up to the task. Easy to use, unlike many I disagree with the criticisms on the menu, I found it simple and with many possible items and customizations. Customization is its main merit, in addition to the numerous screens you can customize all the buttons on the machine body, the most useful screen is in my opinion the quick ships pro, it turned out to be really irreplaceable in the most dynamic situations. The 5fps burst for many can be a limit but not doing sports photography on a daily basis is not a problem. The battery life amazed me, always at odds with the other reviews, I managed to get about 500 shots with 60% residual battery intensively using most of the available features and almost always the viewfinder. Viewfinder with average resolution, good even in low light conditions. Really very malleable files. Noise at high sensitivities is great up to 6400 iso, always shooting in raw and not in jpg is not a problem even up to 12800 from which I apply a noise reduction. Excellent dynamic range and recoveries of shadows or high lights under exposing or overexposing, fantastic customization with numerous slots available to customize white balance and all other parameters such as dominant, saturation and sharpness. The shot is not very noisy and therefore can also be used in events without attracting too much attention. On the video department I do not make judgments, not being a fan of videos was not used. Without a doubt a very versatile, reliable machine, to those interested I recommend the purchase given the price now on the same level as the entry-level SLRs.

Pros: FF, COMPATTA , USED COST , FILE QUALITY

Cons: AF SLOW , RESA ISO

Opinion: I have this machine now for a year I can only be happy , it is very compact and the rendering of the files it produces is very good. It goes well with manual optics, the battery life is not the best, but just bring some spare battery and that's it. The cost in the used is ridiculous , it is a must now to enter the format ff. The only flaw the high iso yield above 3200 iso begins to be heard a little noise , overall it is an honest machine I can only recommend.

Pros: Quality, FF, excellent functions, brilliant sensor.

Cons: Battery life, set targets not vast.

Opinion: Given that despite owning an FF reflex (D750 Nikon) for reasons of practicality and weight I found on many occasions winning the mirrorless that I own, but this despite being a little bigger than the others manages from the first days to donate gorgeous shots. The lens provided (28/70) is discreet, neither bad nor good, and in everyday practicality it is nice even if the use of the classic 50 Sony 1.8 prefers it. The menu is complete and intuitive.

Pros: Exceptional sensor, produces both RAW and JPG files of the highest quality; compact size, light and extremely handy even for those with large hands; spectacular manual focus (focus peack); excellent software, able to give adequate answers to every situation (the menu is very complete, without being exaggeratedly complex); Excellent buttons and auxiliary wheels, widely customizable....

Cons: SLOW AF; sensor that gets dirty with great ease; battery life; very loud shot (but with a nice sound!) ...

Opinion: It is my first FF and I must say that it has fully met my needs as a photoamateur: the quality of the files is exceptional, especially in good light conditions and good is the "hold" to noise up to 6400 ISO. The dynamic range and quality of colors are excellent. In light of the purchase price - new to just over 700 euros - it certainly constitutes an excellent product, especially when used, by virtue of its lightness, as a travel camera. In my case, after trying several goals, I found myself very well with the Zeiss 24-70 mm f/4, whose excellent stabilization compensates for the one absent in the machine body, of which I do not meet all the defects that are attributed to it, instead appreciating the lightness, sharpness and overall image quality, in the face of little criticality... and at an attractive price! In summary, the a7 has a compact and sufficiently robust body, with a decent tropicalization (I used it in adverse climatic conditions, but did not suffer), the image quality is always excellent; It has a good electronic viewfinder and you appreciate the practicality of a tilting and rather robust display. The auxiliary keys are well made and allow an excellent possibility for customization. Even if it is not a video amateur, I appreciate the quality of the videos produced (in this case, the failure to stabilize the machine body is most affected) and, all in all, the dislocation of the video activation button is not so uncomfortable. Great software and camera features, extremely evolved, as is great the ability to connect, including the fast and practical built-in Wi-Fi. Among the flaws, the main, in my opinion, is the autofocus, sometimes slow and inaccurate not only in poor light conditions, and the rather reduced battery life, which can only be recharged by the camera (but there are excellent third-party products that at a low cost to this problem).) It's a pity that the Sony lens fleet, which with 2019 can finally be said to have been completed, is still quite expensive, while boasting excellent products at a low price (such as the excellent 85 mm f/1.8); Fortunately there are excellent optics of other manufacturers, which, at acceptable cost, fill this deficiency (exceptional the combined with the 14 mm f/2.8 AF of Samyang!). Finally, I find that the menu is not as disastrous as it reads - but perhaps in this I am benefited from the fact that I have used for many years a Sony bridge that, basically, had the same menu as the A7. In conclusion, I can say that who wants a low-cost FF, light and compact, but capable of giving high - very high! - results for portraiture, landscapes, travel, street (but not suitable for naturalistic or sports photography, especially in poor light condition), the A7, still in production, is a great deal! Rating: 9

Pros: Flexibility and ideal solution for those who use vintage optics. Great FF 24Mp sensor, overall build quality, focus peaking.

Cons: Mainly the monstrously short life of the batteries. Plastic-metal attack, sensor that I find easy to get dirty. Other minors, or more subjective: gripist not perfect for the small size of the body (but on the other point of view this is an element in favor!), ergonomics with wheel controls/buttons partly not very intuitive, like the menu, at least for me. Noisy shutter button.

Opinion: Taken at the end of 2017 with a nice occasion in the used, she donated a second youth to the vintage kits of the house, mainly Canon FD and Pentax A and F extended lately to Nikon, probably for the renewed pleasure of making photography that gave me back in time recent A7. I started about forty years ago with MF lenses, so the fact that I can't use AF is not unwelcome to me, so I'm fond of this fullframe mirrorless. Today, however, I would opt for an A7II because of the stabilizer but at the time I was not aware of the various improvements in the mark II model. However for the few shots per year I also do the basic model i'm fine with. Stabilization is a plus that could obviously be useful to me; there is to say that in macro I often use the flash and bring tripods, of which I have many choices, does not give me too much boredom. And then I prefer to invest in more or less dated, but quality goals (also because Sony optics would be and are frankly unapproachable for their costs!). The Sony 24 Mp sensor churns out JPG vouchers with beautiful color yields and even better RAW files, but it seems to me that it gets dirty easily. Up to 3200 ISO is still usable, from 4000 the noise begins to appear noticeable. In the absence of Sony autofocus lenses, focus peaking is a great help for images where accuracy in focus is more critical and generally for those with vision problems. The electronic viewfinder satisfies me. A little difficult to find Sony compatible accessories in the used, but looking you succeed. I do not like the fast discharge of the battery, already highlighted by many: something so extreme had never happened to me! And Sony could also add an external charger to the packaging without going bust. Rating: 8.5

Pros: Compact, light, sensor, price

Cons: So-so ergonomics, switch Monitor-automatic EVF, unreliable autofocus, sensor flare, very noisy shutter

Opinion: It is my first photographic stain "important" and I have therefore no references to make comparisons. However, after 1 year and a half of intensive use, I can definitely say that I have made a clear idea of the merits and flaws of this Sony. Starting from the good things, I would definitely cite the sensor from which you can get beautiful RAW files with good dynamic range and so much information to work in post production. For an amateur level is also a sensor too demanding that requires excellent lenses to be exploited. In This sense the zoom kit I used for about 4 months couldn't absolutely fix it properly. Coming to the machine body, it is small and light, more compact than the later models (A7II and A7III). Also for this reason the ergonomics is not great (but you get used to it). Good and discreetly durable construction. What I do not like: the continuous autofocus (unreliable) not suitable for chasing fast subjects. Automatic Switch Monitor/EVF: I often get closer to the camera to the body to shoot with the screen oriented upwards, but about twenty inches from the chest the machine passes from the monitor to the EVF. This is very annoying, it would suffice to recognize that the screen was extracted to disable the passage to EVF and avoid the problem. Shooting noise: really very loud! Flare sensor: Effect that emerges in the presence of intense lights and strong contrast (for example the lampposts in the night photo) creating many halos visible around the light sources. Out of curiosity I've been informed and seems to be generated by the sensor lining on this first Sony A7 series. For me it is not a big problem, but in short here not very well... By pulling the sums this Sony has given me great satisfactions so I will continue to use it and exploit it until it is its limits (and not mine) to make me lean for a change. Rated 8.5

Pros: Compactness and excellent sensor

Cons: Build quality not at the top

Opinion: I am attracted by this camera, especially by the ratio of quality, price... but to the engineers as it occurred to him to make the attack consisting of two materials, metal and plastic? The bayonet could not do it completely metallic? Steps for the machine body in part in magnesium and partly in plastic, but in the bayonet you are mistaken, the plastic part can loosen

Pros: Size, FF sensor output, MAF ease with manual optics, convenience of WiFi, functions and customization, possibility to load it via USB

Cons: Optical cost, battery life, absence of useful functions that can be purchased only for a fee

Opinion: I wanted it as a secondary body but FF, after the little harmony with a Fuji mirrorless APS-C. I rediscovered the pleasure of always taking her back in every moment of the day, without losing any chance. I can easily and with great yields use manual optics to rediscover the taste of hand-focing, which with the SLR FF and APS-C is impossible. And after years of Canon I'm thinking of totally switching to Sony with all the professional outfit, but we'll see. Very convenient to be able to frame and shoot via smartphone, in the street environment is a godsend. I can fast-forward even in motion without losing the shot. This is not practical and usable professionally, but as a second body has more merits than flaws. Especially then find it at €450 is worth.

Pros: Lightness, manageability, minimum dimensions, general ergonomics, excellent quality of the files also in JPEG, with good general dynamic range, adjustable monitor, current price. Possibility to use Canon optics (also Nikon, Sigma, etc.) with the various adapters that are around: Commlite, Sigma, Metabones, Viktrox, etc. The adapter Commlite-the cheapest-I was disappointed and I replaced it immediately with the Sigma MC11 that performs very well its work keeping all the functions of the lenses (Canon in my case).

Cons: Excessive noise starting from 6400 ISO (and in some cases already from 3200 ISO). Sensor subject easily to get dirty. Lack of a built-in flash (such as Shadows light). Lack of stabilizer on the sensor (but maybe it would weigh more... See the A7 II). AF at times slow, or uncertain, or inaccurate even in good light conditions. Low battery life (max 300/350 shots new!) that you also download to camera off. Uncomfortable battery charging system (directly to the machine body). Electronic viewfinder not always at the height of the situations (backlight, photos of moving subjects). Difficulty or inability to use the camera in manual with The Flash (dark viewfinder and/or monitor). Update the post stating that after 6 months of use and about 8,000 shots I gave it away to return permanently on the reflex, because I was not fully satisfied.

Pros: Perfect machine for vintage lovers

Cons: unusable to work

Opinion: Machine with magnificent sensor. A perfect 24mpx full frame, with dynamic range and top recoveri. Unfortunately the AF makes you laugh, and the construction is not up to par (completely revised in the second series of A7). Click button place on the top, very uncomfortable. The advice therefore for a use "vintage", mounting optical zeiss\\contax etc. with rings adapters (the immense Nikon 105 F 2.5 AIS makes a fable), but absolutely to advise against optics equipped with AF (as well as being slow is too small for a Any lens both FE and Canon adapted). If you want to switch to Sony you are obligated to at least one A7II (but also here not the advice to the professionals). Can find space in the outfit of a professional as a machine to which to associate eternal lenses, such as can be a 50mm f 0.95, or as mentioned above a Nikon 105 F 2.5 AiS. The whole thing to use for example during an event for some "posed" shots. Find online A very famous matrimonialist who uses one flanked by a Mitakon 50mm f 0.95 (but there are other alternatives including I recommend the Nikon 50 1.2), but certainly not as first body. I hope you have an idea of the use that Sony can have. I recommend you to inform about all the technology represented by the viewfinder EVF in case you have a reflex and you are really fasting of what is the world mirrorless, because it is only this that could push you to buy a mirrorless (beyond the Considerable overall savings when used with vintage lenses. For the rest the SLR is vastly better for now, especially as operational ergonomics.

Pros: Quality of the files absolutely high level, small and light the stick everywhere... With all the ring nuts and programmable keys it has, it returns a quick use convenience with everything at your fingertips... the price of today is ridiculous for a FF with a value for money, for me, unbeatable....

Cons: For my needs, the lack of flash a bit disturbs me, already I was just that of a6000, but I also know that, if I put one outside (if uncomfortable) the quality on the macro will be absolutely fantastic... I could say the stabilization but I knew before Take... An Unpaticissima thing is that, if you want to enlarge the photo after just taken it sends directly to 100% magnification and then it is a bit uncomfortable to climb the magnification with the wheel, in short, this aspect is really to improve... For the speech of the menu, certainly will be improved, even if I am now well, because in the end, everything is to know it after you do what you have quietly....

Opinion: I will be brief.... After about 10 months that I use it with about 13,000 photos, the machine meets all my needs and with the 16-35 F4 stabilized arrival, if it is the case, even to shoot at 1/2 sec... The high ISO quality is much better than what I expected , I was pleasantly amazed... The batteries, it is true you get at most to 400 shots, but I have 4 so no Problem.. In short, it ' useful to turn around in the back, the car goes more than good and I do everything I need without finding myself in situations where I can hardly do something, so it means that satisfies me... for me the car is absolutely advisable as well today, especially For what it costs and for the quality of the files that is able to return.......

Pros: Light, reliable, comfortable in your vest pocket!

Cons: Stabilization on the missing sensor, improved above 3200 ISO

Opinion: Bought used out of curiosity on a trip to Berlin. Since then (6 months ago) It has made me rediscover the pleasure of photographing. Slowly I replaced my ingombrantissimo Nikon APSC kit with Contax-Zeiss vintage Optics (18-28-50-85-135) and I then bought the gorgeous Zeiss-Sony 35 f 2.8. Photographer now as I was doing as a boy with my old Pentax Mx and the fixed optics of the time. Passion awakened by a love at first sight!!

Pros: Flexibility of use. Value for money. Weight / dimensionirn

Cons: Ergonomics. Lack of external battery charger.

Opinion: This machine was a surprise for me, which, in such a consumerist age, I did not expect. I photographed, half of my experience, (I started 40 years ago) in the analogue era with Nikon, Pentax and Canon manual reflexes (FM2, MX, F1 etc.). I switched to digital without regrets being passionate about computer science but this machine with less than € 1000 allowed me to be able to re-use a set of manual optics, which for some reason I had kept. rnSono often beautiful objectives that while showing some defects (lower yield at the edges above all) give me great satisfaction by exploiting them to their actual focal (for which they were designed). And the best surprise is that I can use a semi-automatic display (aperture priority) and with a good focus (focus peaking). That is, compared to the times of FM2, comfort is greater. Not to mention the sensor's performance, superior to any film considering the possibilitiesin PP.rnCerto, if I need reactivity, to "steal" shots on the fly, I have other solutions. But for a photograph "meditated" in particular for landscape, macro, still life this machine together with my "old" but excellent objectives has given me back a pleasure to photograph unexpectedly. The flexibility of this machine does not really match.

Pros: Body tropicalized and full of functions. Three adjustment rings. Light screen, definite, inclinable. EVF viewfinder. Noise reduction in-camera (effective, but slow). Full Frame Economical and performaning. Suitable for both beginners and experts

Cons: Af. Lack of stabilizer. Gust to historical lows. Lens release button stupidest. Paid applications. Sony's most expensive average competition targets and scarce used market. High ISO resistance. Noisy shooting

Pros: Size, weight, value for money, viewfinder usability.

Cons: battery life.

Opinion: I have had this machine for two and a half years, used mostly with optical and manual vintage, matched to a body so lightweight you have of contained dimensions, with the quality of a FF car. Ergonomics as I found it very easy to hold, with the three rings can be adjusted time / aperture / ISO without pressing any button, the only thing a bit 'strange vertical shutter button, but once you know the medium does not create any problem, in addition there is the ability to customize almost all buttons. The electronic viewfinder is what I liked the most the A7, get that shot over the eye found it very useful, plus you have the ability to adjust everything from the viewfinder, you can put the grid how to use the spirit level, peacking to focus and magnification for manual focusing without having to remove the eye to switch to the monitor, another interesting feature in low-light conditions, dwhere the light gets dark with electronic noisy although you can also compose. Side sensor has an ISO held in line or slightly lower than competitors, but a great dynamic range, considering the price I think the right thing, if you look for something more powerful you have to orient themselves on the various S and R, by spending more. Pulling the conclusions I find it a very good car, especially suited to those with kits of quality vintage, in my opinion the most balanced among the 3 versions, does not excel in anything but good on the whole, definitely being the first has flaws of youth , but since the price is a very good product.

Pros: intuitive light compact

Cons: Battery life and quality of over 3200 iso files

Opinion: Since I had the canonist canon 40-50-60-7d each increasingly electronic noise version. I had two choices 6d of the canon and the a7 sony. I am a CPS canon first with Silver level for 2 years and 2 following years with Gold level. Disappointed I had to switch to Nikon but I chose Sony. My choice was the A7 and A6000. Quite superior to my Canon except for the focus. For owners is released fimware 3.2 With adapters for optical use them all of any manufacturer

Pros: Beautiful, small jewel to see and use.

Cons: The accompanying objectives: expensive and therefore unaffordable for me.

Opinion: aesthetically attractive, the I place willingly among the most beautiful ANALOG of the past. Lightweight and easy to handle, allows an incredible portability that from this point of view makes me strong preference to My CANON 50 D and 5D MKII which are very heavy but still very much appropriate photographers, revenue (alas) in open competition with the 'A7 but in fact , produces excellent color files from highly enjoyable and natural to produce a digital photograph (almost) perfect. Certainly the goals as I said in the introduction, are definitely not cheap, but the quality ZEISS you pay ... But for now what we can achieve is as discussed above and with 28/70 supplied but surely invalidate said: WHO YES CONTENTA ENJOY! And then we go out with this very valuable A7 to enjoy it to the end and we're not them aa quibble too. LIGHT good at all.

Pros: Great FF sensor, size and weight, and robust metal, adjustable and readable display, ability to mount old objectives is FF which is cheaper but high quality

Cons: electronic viewfinder that compared to the SLR disappoint, angular shapes of the machine, they are likely luminous reflections in strong backlight

Opinion: one can only be pleased with this machine. Finally it allows using finite goals for years in the closet, which often have great photographic potential, but They come because we left them in the digital age. In my case I started to shoot with Leica lenses with satisfaction of finding the colors and "textures" dell'immagini I remembered, for me very beautiful and special. Of course there are the dedicated targets (few for now). The Sonnar 35mm makes the machine could say infallible, like rendering of detail and clarity, ease and immediacy in focus, size and total weight, the more the lens machine, "pocket" in the sense that you can put it in the pocket of sweatshirt or even in some pockets of winter trousers and wanting, almost always have it with you. There are cons though. If we make the comparison with a reflex we forget to find the image that we used to see in the viewfinder. It is hard to reconsider what you seeviewfinder with what is before us, we need a bit 'of time and you should also get used to. Sometimes it happened to me that the proximity sensor that turns off the display to activate the viewfinder when you approach the eye to the machine, turn off both for a while ', the viewfinder and display. You have to wait or take the dark. He was also surprised by the glow that is found in few clicks strong backlighting, with the sun or a lamp in certain angles. It seems to have a problem of reflection off the image sensor. I concluded that it is a machine to be recommended to those who want to take great photos, comparable to the return of any SLR FF, who likes to reuse the old targets and to those who want to shoot without carrying around a "box" from 1.5-2 kg and those who like to photograph calmly, because the shot is not as immediate as with an SLR

Pros: FF, small, dirty sensor is hardly

Cons: optical decent dear, noisy, slow

Opinion: I had this FF for almost a year, I came from ASP-C SLR media and all at once I was catapulted into the magical world of optical range vintage which admittedly have given me a lot of fun. Then I bought the optics kit and found unspeakable ... a sbocchevole slowness. And in the end to have a FF to use the vintage goes well for a while 'but then it breaks. I am so back to my first love, the micro 4/3 ... and for me it is another story.

Pros: Sensor, weight, solid construction despite its size, file RAW lavorabilissimo, customization

Cons: monitor quality, battery drain, some obvious features "purchased" via app

Opinion: D ravanare menus have been negatively surprised to not find some obvious things present in all cameras, see for example the timed shooting + bracket, or choose one or choose the other ... the ability to set the sequence of the bracket, in This will decide the sequence of exposures, or even the number of bracketing shots. I know, this camera has a sensor that will make you forget the double exposures, but did not understand what it cost to Sony enter these options in the menu until you have not landed on PlayMemories Store ... where buying at prices ranging from 4.99 to 9.99 all the things listed are present in the app that Sony sells. I see brands such as Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Fuji really make a "snapshot", instead I see Sony as a company that produces technology, and things are very different and distant. For the moment I feel very satisfied, it is definitely not the ultimate camera, as it has been for me the 7D, but we'll see.

Pros: image quality, lightweight, excellent construction, very compact, high ISO, f held

Cons: battery, battery charger nonexistent, af moving barrage, sensor gets dirty very

Opinion: I am now almost 2 years of use and I think that I do not I will separate! Apart from that I will be very brief ......... the camera for me is very valuable and has an image quality and dynamic range that are outstanding, the detail with good lenses (type 55 F1.8) is super also enlarging the 100% holding very well, the files are lavorabilissimi in raw, good af which is very accurate and fast, it is very well built and fairly robust, the very use mountain also cn bad weather is never a problem, simple and intuitive menu. By contrast, at least in my copy I found that the sensor while being attentive gets dirty a lot, of moving subjects or speed has a good yield even with constant f, does not have the supplied battery charger, the flurry slow .... we say that is a machine that is certainly not suitable for birds or sports, for the rest of portraits, landscapes, street, etc. is to be recommended at 100% and I am very very satisfied

Pros: And 'Full Frame and and' relatively cheap

Cons: Viewfinder and display of poor quality ', a few lenses and expensive

Opinion: Purchased in December I found there are a viewfinder and display quality 'lower than the omd 1. On 28 and 70 in kit' for me quality 'really poor. The 2470 does not seem to be exceptional and together with other optical and 'really too expensive. The sensor will be 'definitely awesome but the outline and' perhaps too immature. We hope in the future.

Pros: finishing and solid construction, easy handling and portability, image quality (raw) really excellent (and now I could test only the 28-70 kit comes in that is not a diamond but it is not the usual plasticone giving in kit with reflex), high quality videos that are recorded fairly smoothly and without hesitation in the maf, accurate focusing in lighting situations favorable (see cons), very low noise up to 6400, lavorabilissimo and excellently convert raw files with any program even with small programs free the results are excellent, good dynamic range with excellent rendering of shadows and highlights in backlit situation, color fidelity, beautiful rendering of blurry even with the lens kit that is only a 5.6 (using it to 70 mm), but this could also be a factor against.

Cons: very few dedicated optics, battery life, AF showing more than a few uncertainty in situations of low light or low contrast subjects, the menu quite complicated and cumbersome, it tends to underexpose (but better a camera underexpose rather than overexpose that) the display is not very bright, even with reduced pdc intermediate diaphragms as f / 5,6 or f / 8, it is extremely quiet during shooting, as you would expect from a mirrorless.

Opinion: I just bought the Sony A7 kit with the 28-70 to tile the reflex system consists of a 5D MKII and various lenses. In fact I was already in possession of a mirrorless, the Fujifilm X-M1, but if for some aspects I found it very good for other reasons, I was quite disappointed, first of all the lack of a program capable of adequately demosaicizzare Raw left the famous X-Trans sensor. rnDevo say that it is an excellent camera, but that is still far from replacing a professional camera like the one I have. I do not speak of the quality of the images of course, which is really top notch, definitely at the same level as the 5D mkII if not higher, but the operating speed and precision AF. It 'a camera with which you can have fun, go around with a bag and have the quality of the Full Frame is really the most we can aspire every photographer, professional or amateur who is. rnIo I think there is still a lot 'way to go, although I think the future is already tracciato.rn

Pros: Dimensions, weight, light but with a strong body, I find it very comfortable to use and the keys are well positioned, fast autofocus, it is not an SLR but x a car in this segment is good, very comfortable eyepiece central, unlike fuji (with which just does not get used, except T1)'s electronic viewfinder display and really well done!

Cons: Few and expensive optics, perhaps only 55 x 1.8 really worth, it lacks a detailed manual (but you can download), and absurd, there is no external caricabbaterie, what this odious x the price of the machine, the shot noise level high!

Opinion: My favorite system is "REFLEX" and x is likely to remain a long time, but with this baby I rediscovered the pleasure of photographing, its lightness and comfort is unique, it is always with me, except when I work, my review does not reach 100 % x favors only the question "optical" little, only 55 are under 2 as the opening and the costs are very high, considering that sony is not widespread (x now) also the second hand market does not offer many opportunities, there are Always optical "vintage" with which they can be accommodated just fine.

Pros: FF compact and economical

Cons: AF slow and sometimes inaccurate - poor ergonomics - a few dedicated optics - quality body and setting entry-level

Opinion: As for me, except for the image quality, this Sony A7 is a real disappointment. The AF is not able to provide decent performance, for both slow that for reliability. The car seems designed in Denmark, those of Lego. How is it possible to conceive un'ergomia with two wheels and shutter placed in this way remains a mystery. The choice of controls and customization of these is questionable. You can not directly change the point of focus. rnrnTanti defects and difettuci which together make a big disappointment. I would add that I have good experience for correctness of mirrorless, Leica M9, ??Fuji X-Pro, Olympus E-M5ecc. etc.. The ... Olympus E-M1 is light years ahead in every single aspect, except the image quality for the obvious disadvantage of the sensor m43.rnrnTornando the A7, for amateur use in complete relaxation can still be a good choice but for those who want to do something more ... better not!

Pros: Quality of the sensor; shooting in Raw wide dynamic range and detail rendering very good even when they get up the ISO, compact and lightweight body, although robust and not so small as to be uncomfortable to use for those accustomed to a DSLR, fast autofocus and accurate in almost all situations except the most extreme (moving objects in low light, there sometimes is more difficult but overall if the quarry); possibility of using many lenses via adapters.

Cons: The battery does not last very much, you must first obtain at least a second battery if you shoot a lot. And then you must also buy the external charger as the A7 charging by connecting the camera directly to the outlet. E 'useful to charge it in the car maybe, but I would have preferred the park caricabatterie.rnIl lenses you know is quite limited for now, especially from the perspective of wide angle lenses, but I think Sony will resolve this in time, prices of the (few) existing lenses rather high, but the quality is high (especially the Zeiss 35mm as seen on the net is of exemplary clarity).

Opinion: I think it is a very valuable machine that could easily replace the camera (now I have a Canon 6d) for the majority of the outputs, if only there was a little more choice in lenses. The quality of the sensor is high, if the beats on an equal footing with many SLR FF (and not just the least expensive). Putting that is relatively small and light it becomes a very valuable car to get around light and be able to take pictures of high quality. In addition Tropicalised, which is good. I took it as mirrorless for outputs less demanding, and after a stormy start a little (I miss her terribly a wide angle and I was blown away by the short battery life used to the SLR) I find it really good, so I'm starting to save for Zeiss 35mm and then maybe who knows ....

Pros: all I would say. a novelty after so many bodies all the same.

Cons: the only cons that actually exists is a slight loss of detail when using a telephoto lens on a tripod for exposures that are very short.

Opinion: I write this opinion solely to respond to Sergio from you that after the speech of "Mom canon" made me laugh in the park crepapelle.rnil optics was known to be tight at the beginning so it is not a defect but a simple matter of fact, was not a surprise. a7r my batteries but does not go to but rather a battery and will fight lasts exactly on 300 shots and I do not think it's right to throw away, alternatively you can buy 2-3 batteries and it is apostolic as do all photographers. the charger costs 5 € in ebay. however I do not know if Mom has a canon body with this weight with 36 mpx with this performance .... the viewfinder is not a disaster is simply live view

Pros: Lightweight body size but not too small, which allows a good grip and general ergonomics, sensor FF yield remarkable, excellent dynamic range and tonal shooting in RAW; electronic viewfinder very large and bright, customizable with a variety of information; manual focus assisted by focus configurable peaking and magnification; quite fast and responsive AF system, comparable to that of an SLR (excluding the AF of top of the range), good customization options; sufficiently robust and weather sealed body, excellent swivel LCD display, ability to use practically in MF any existing optical, or both rangefinder cameras, excellent video quality.

Cons: Lack of a detailed manual for using the camera (the one supplied is limited to the more general functions and the detailed manual is available online but not downloadable); absence of a dedicated charger (the battery needs to be recharged through the camera); limited duration battery; park proprietary optical AF still very limited (although the Zeiss have a very high quality)

Opinion: For my needs this machine has represented the squaring of the circle. Having no need to use telephoto lenses pushed and not usually practicing action photography I found in the Sony A7 a sufficiently compact and lightweight camera body that would allow me to save space, but above all the weights with respect to a reflex system, while maintaining the quality and yield Full Frame sensor. The possibility of adapting manual focus lenses allowed me to discover a world of good optical rangefinder systems dedicated to fixed weights and dimensions ridiculous, often made from absolutely excellent. The manual focus, thanks to the assistance of the focus peaking highly configurable and customizable, in addition to the function of magnification viewfinder, it becomes extremely simple but mostly very accurate. Lens calibration problems, back / front focus are just a ricordo.rnLa quality of the raw file is excellent, superior to that of the Canon 5D Mk3 that I used previously, especially in terms of dynamic range. Excellent performance at high ISO, low noise and with aeasily manageable, even at very high ISO is always conserved dettaglio.rnIl a good camera body is highly customizable in its functions and allows use quite varied as photographic situations, leaving pure action. The AF system, I tested with the 28-70mm kit zoom, with the Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 and the Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 is fast and responsive practically equal to that of an SLR-end "normal", with aperture lenses gets along well with enough brightness bassa.rnIn synthesis in my opinion the Sony A7 is an interesting proposal that those who do not necessarily need a DSLR, but still want to have a quality result from Full Frame.

Pros: Cropo compact but well built and with many possibilities for personalizzazione.rnSensore ottimo.rnOttimo EVF, large and bright, is not a speccho but it's pretty close. rn "focus peaking" excellent and configurable. rnTiraggio reduced which allows you to mount (adapters) for virtually all lenses produced SLR and many of those for telemetro.rnRispetto sister "r" has in addition: + AF phase contrast AF, 5fps Burst, 1 curtain of ' electronic shutter, time X-Sync flash faster (1/250 sec.)

Cons: Park owner lenses, for now, very small though excellent qualità.rnPosizione the shutter button too upright. a shame because the general ergonomics is great, even for those with large hands. rnSi sees the legacy of "consumer" in the menu and in some settings (eg, the lack of direct access to pose "bulb") rnDotazione skinny: manuals, software and accessories to a minimum of less indispensabilernIn sister: Front polycarbonate (the "r" is all magnesium), sensor less dense (24mpx) rn

Opinion: A perfect blend between the past (film cameras), present (SLR) and future (mirrorless) concentrated in a balanced and functional body that encloses the first full-frame sensor of a mirrorless.rnLa A7 is the most versatile specialist sister "r" and is suitable for many types of photography, could also be the sole or main body of fotografi.rnPer many people coming from other machines, it takes a little 'practice before you feel comfortable with the many buttons and dials scattered all over the body but once you're comfortable, you can do everything quickly and without taking your eye from the electronic viewfinder. A really excellent viewfinder and on top of the category of mirrorless! Large, bright and full of information makes it pleasant to use and efficace.rnSul side AF, the autofocus is very accurate and fast enough. Is not that of reflex to top of the range but using the central area (which uses sensors to phase) is utilizzabilissima with most of the subjects even in motion. In low light it gets worse (especially with lensesmore "dark") and you will lose speed but making sure to "fall" of the disagreement in the selected focus area, the use remains accettabilissimo.rnL 'use of manual focus lenses is a real pleasure, including "focus peaking" and enlargement of the focus is riese to be really accurate and, with a little 'practice, too fast or using the viewfinder screen posteriore.rnIl park proprietary lens at the moment is quite limited, although it can count on a 35/2.8, a 55/1.8 and 24-70/4 manufacturing Zeiss and great quality. rnIl 28-70 sold in a kit with the A7 makes an honest job and is worth even more than its cost. It has good performance but to have one hundred of the edges of a good standard should be closed with one or two stop.rnLa battery does not last long but its 250/350 shots lets them. If you pianifca to use it intensely, it is better to take a second battery. Missing caricabaterie supplied but, on the contrary, the A7 charge placed directly over the machine via USB, with all the benefits that will result fromcompartment (eg load by car cigarette lighter of the car). rnrnIn conclusion, a good product that raises the bar in the segment mirrorless.rn

Pros: Weight-and-dimensionirn Ergonomics (with the Olympus OMD EM-5 I needed the battery grip, with no A7) rn-Access to work really fast, well-organized menu (you have to make it a habit but it is not a problem ) rn-Draw short, you can customize nearly all the optics on the market, but given the size of the optical rangefinder are more appropriate because of the size) rn-Price: € 1350 is currently the most economical .... (and picocla) full frame on the market.

Cons: Park-optic devoted very limited: it is on sale from November 2013 to the present there are 35 2.8, 55 1.8,28-70 kit, zeiss 24-70 f4 (January), 70-200 With f4rn-wide angles under 35mm short film is to draw this color cast and vignetting in the corners; settles easily in post production but the exposure becomes very important ... with a heavy underexposure recovery becomes difficult. A behavior very similar to the Leica M9 and varies from lens to lens.

Opinion: I started taking pictures with a nikon, I currently have a D700 and I do mostly macro and landscape with some attempt at street. The A7 is, for me, the ideal machine. Not having virtually never need a lightning-fast AF do not regret the D700, large optics (14-24 nikon and sigma 150mm macro) the user always on the stand and then CURRENTLY suitable optics nikon, when they come out valuterò.rnSono the dedicated enthusiast, the temptation to sell all the equipment nikon is strong but resist for now! rnrnMaggiori information and samples in the facebook group dedicated to her: rnhttps :/ / www.facebook.com/groups/SonyA7eA7rItalia/

Pros: size and weight - easy to maneuver options - quite intuitive and the menu choices -

Cons: few lenses available - for those accustomed to the SLR electronic viewfinder is a disaster - does not have the battery charger that has to buy separately - a few accessories available for the moment - the battery lasts very little - if you come out with a product on the market, You can then sip the essential accessories such as charger that is not yet available -

Opinion: It 'was a disappointment compared to the various presentations and articles that depict as a "star" it I was quite disappointed. I hope I can change my mind .... but Sony is not like mom CANON!! It 'a mark of respect that I have never made a purchase in the field repent of hi-fi and TV and that's why I gave her confidence, but in the photographic field must refer to the road to be on par with the others.
