Pros: excellent construction, well-arranged controls, excellent sensor yield

Cons: low iso

Opinion: it was my first DSLR, since then never left sony. I preferred it for the build quality of another planet compared to the cakon counterparts, better arranged controls and a decidedly performing proprietary sensor. I left it to move to a700, another category, but still today I keep many shots taken with a100 and I find them absolutely workable

Pros: Image quality, construction, ergonomics, colors, optical park

Cons: Autofocus

Opinion: Bought used as a second body, with 3200 shots and three lenses at a ridiculous figure, it was a real revelation. Heavier than I imagined, once taken up it gives a feeling of quality and robustness. The handle is comfortable even for those who, like me, have large hands. The 10.2 mpx sensor (the same then mounted on the a200 and a230) is a truly remarkable ccd. The sharpness is excellent, and the colors are very saturated even when shooting in raw. Really I was amazed by the images that this machine hunts out, from a sixteen-year-old device I expected much worse. Pleasant to have available, near the attack of the lens, a button that gives a preview of the depth of field. It is rich in settings, including autofocus with direct manual correction. Really so pleasant to use. But, of course, given the age, there are "physiological" defects: over 1600 iso does not go. Up to 400 files are excellent, but the noise remains easily manageable even at the highest sensitivities. The only thing that in my opinion really is wrong is the autofocus. In situations of not perfect lighting, with a low-light lens like my Sigma 18-200 f/3.5-6.3, the most convenient thing is to go by manual fire. As also highlighted by other owners, with bright lenses (I also tried with the Minolta 50 f / 1.4) the situation improves, but at barely acceptable levels. With a lot of light, however, it focuses quickly and accurately. But, as a whole, a car from which I will hardly part and that I really like. For my needs, together with an all-rounder optics like the aforementioned Sigma, it represents a truly perfect second body!

Pros: Quality to sell

Cons: maybe the sound of the shutter a little loud

Opinion: If you had called by another name this machine would surely have made history for the absolute quality of the Files that pulls out, a detail and a saturation of the excellent colors, with the right optics the autofocus not by any problem is responsive in low light conditions, even high iso noise (common for machines of those years, no camera was "immune") with current software is manageable and solvable optimally , the 10 Mpx? they are not all indeed not bad if even in 2020 the same Sony has pulled out the a7 SIII with the beauty of 12Mpx obvious other camera planet, but the "old" little sister defends herself more than well.

Pros: Lightweight, simple, internal stabilizer, compatible with Minolta. Viewfinder

Cons: Iso manageable up to 400, not 100% viewfinder

Opinion: Used was given to me my first digital SLR. Comfortable grip, solid construction much of his sisters as sony a55 that I used often. Outdoor daylight is fantastic especially if coupled to 16 80 zeiss sony. In internal satisfaction by only a powerful flash that almost makes up for the inability to work at high iso. For travel, photography daily, to learn even surpassed by other models. Its 10 megapixels are manageable if you want to share your photos on rete.Se you want to save on you can search for optical lenses from Minolta that are used compatbili, maybe you lose a few electronic function, but the real photographer has to work well in the manual! ! Vote for eight especially as constructed. Monitor the smallest of his young sisters, but bright!

Pros: lightweight, excellent low iso file, economic, ability to mount lens carl zeiss.

Cons: antiquated, high iso, f slow, overheating, 10Mpx.

Opinion: was my companion from 2006 to 2010. now replaced by a much more powerful 5d2. I tried it in every situation, from simple travel photos, to sports photos, portraits, macro, etc. .. produces excellent at low ISO file. but above 800 (inclusive) becomes unmanageable. the grain begins to be too much, especially the color. ccd incisive but less 'workable', f in line with the entry level of those years. good but not comparable to the SI of the lenses canon, the stabilization of the machine body 'SSS' which helps in certain critical situations but not certainly solves any problem. towards the end of his life my copy in some problems of overheating, or after a session of about 200 shots the machine began to be hot and sometimes goes off by itself. 7 + vote.
