Pros: Sharpness, blurry, three-dimensionality, now you buy well

Cons: Warm, unsealed colors

Opinion: Crisp even at full opening it has a gorgeous bokeh and a three-dimensionality worthy of the best portrait ings. Built very well and aesthetically pleasing now it is at attractive prices. I was lucky with my 90D not having f-b focus issues. It returns somewhat warm colors but nothing that cannot be solved in pp. It's not tropicalized. Vote 9

Pros: AF speed, sharpness, blurred, general yield

Cons: Colors not really "exhilarating", but all in all a triuncy

Opinion: I state that I do not love the tele, but moving to full frame (Sony A99) I wanted something longer than the fifty, and lighter than the Zeiss 24 70 and Minolta 80 200. After some research I found myself in a specimen of this 85 at a very low price and in excellent condition, and it was love at first sight. The build quality is really good, the ring of the MAF is resistant to the right and precise, the plastic is solid and the whole body looks well built. The AF/MF selector is convenient. The AF is so accurate and fast that disassembling this lens will be a pain, and I do it only when I need to physically stay closer to the subject and I require less millimeters. Beautiful The blurred, stupendous yield down to 1.4 (I see the pores of the skin and the individual cigli), a blade already at 2.0, at 3.5 We are at an incredible definition. Only downside compared to Minolta and Zeiss are the colors, if you get used to that delicate saturation you hardly do without it, but I prefer to spend the third part and have a supersonic AF and correct any hue preferences in Photoshop with two clicks.

Pros: Sharpness, overall yield between color, three-dimensionality, microcontrast and detachment of the floors, price, valuable construction

Cons: Some chromatic aberration, af not in line with the general goodness of the lens.

Opinion: I wanted a 85mm for years, I wanted it since I started making photography for fun.rnThe sigma EX DG 85mm 1.4 was my second choice after the model Art that honestly offered more but not enough to justify the expense that would have compromised the purchase of a second lens (Canon Biancone). For about 500 € I took a lens that is pure poetry, big blurred, soft and beautiful homogeneous, to 1.4 everything that is not the subject becomes a confused drape that enhances even more the figure taken. Bright at the right point, clear beyond measure. The main flaw in my opinion is that the autofocus turns out to be quite uncertain in situations where it should not be wrong absolutely, under a meter and a half effort to hook and the depth of field does not help absolutely, so it is a fixed that you need to know how to use and requires probably time to be governed in a way. The aberrations are present but just close 2/3 stop to have a fantastic rendering free from optical defects and for a sharp fright. From 1.4a 2 is poetry, from 2.8 to 9 is the thread of a blade just forged, over f9 I would not push because in my model the sharpness drops drastically. In any case, an extremely nurtured lens that is beautiful to look at and use

Pros: price-quality image ratio

Cons: slow af that struggles with low light

Opinion: For use in the studio is great, it gave me nice satisfactions. The blurry is pleasant, the colors although slightly cold do not displease me. In the past I had the 85 1.8 of Canon, this Sigma is superior and much like image quality. But Autofocus Canon is something else. If photographed mainly non-static subjects is everything.

Pros: optical performance even at TA, blurred wonderful, light weight considering F1.4, the colors and finally the price of 'used.

Cons: Perhaps the fact that one day pulling out of the drawer after a few months that I used no longer the 'AF was wrong and I had to send him assistance. Surely it was a problem of my copy.

Opinion: I 've got it used less than 500 €, but now with the' out of 'art maybe some eurino less you spende.rnBellissima lens from portrait (for me there' was needed of 'output of the model art) recommend it because it is capable of giving the beautiful foto.rnNitidezza, blurry, colors, size, price of 'used and quality of materiali.rnQuesto is the' only 85mm that I tried so this judgment is the result of 'use of this slow and not a confrontation but I do not feel the need to compare it to because for me is gorgeous
