Pros: Sharpness, bokeh, solidity, material quality, AF calibration possibility

Cons: I could say bulk and weight but in reality they are related to its robustness, those who buy it are aware of it

Opinion: It is one of my favorite Art/Sport and for two or 3 months it lived in my house with the Nikon 70/200 FL. Splendid optical rendering for both, absolutely indistinguishable the files produced by the two lenses but, given the superiority of the Sport on some fronts (made in Japan, extreme robustness, swiss ark bracket, possibility of perfectly calibrating the AF over 4 distances via USB dock), the Nikon FL has clearly gone on the market. This is a lens dedicated to those who absolutely want the best in terms of optical and mechanical performance, who are not frightened in the face of important dimensions and weight, and above all are aware that to obtain such performance you have to sacrifice 2-3 hours for the necessary tuning of the AF. Otherwise forget it, take the original canon or nikon plasticone strictly made in china and live quietly ...

Pros: Overall quality, construction, sharpness, autofocus

Cons: Bracket a little short

Opinion: Excellent lens, like the rest of the Sigma Sport and Art series. Built in Japan it comes with an extraordinary construction. The weight is an indication of the quality of the lenses. Used in extreme conditions, both in motorsport and in naturalistic, without ever having any problem. Excellent sharpness and autofocus. It allows you to get excellent shots even at 2.8 in precarious light conditions (of course with a quality camera behind it). Congratulations to Sigma, another great lens! Highly recommended! I changed bracket to have more comfort, the original for me is a little short.

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: At F2.8 unusable for astronomical photography and photography in general, everything improves to F 5.6.

Opinion: I have the lens in question for about a year, I tried it on Canon 1300D finding it bad as a construction, at F 2.8 unusable with deformations to the edges and a crazy vignetteI talked to the assistance Mamiya Trading who told me that it is built so and can not replace me. Here's the answer: Good morning Mr. Ribaudo Sigma after seeing the images wrote that if there is a bright object in the center of the frame and being the optics is old-fashioned, both things can cause the situation you encountered. DELETED THIS COMMENT WAS FOR THE HSM VERSION.

Pros: Sharpness Construction Bracket Interchangeable Focus button.

Cons: Thread too long for filters.

Opinion: I think it's a slow delay for the market. I took it directly from Sigma and calibrated it from the AD Service center on my Nikon D850 machine. Calibration in manual form and in digital form, with the new machine, for these objectives so there are no mistakes as often happens with the Dock usb. The speed of focus varies with varying in light, I can only say that it is almost perfect. Lens that reflects almost fixed quality like my fantastic 85 or 105 art, both as cutting and blurring, detail and sharpness the same, if not with a top wire on f11 work. The maximum sharpness and between 5.6 and 9 with a better quality of 5-9 % than the acclaimed Tamron 70 200 G2, the detail if even little is exceeded. It behaves perfectly with the multiplier 1401 while for 2001 it becomes slow and wrong fire, but we always talk about light situations like blue time. Let's see when it comes to Sony

Pros: Construction, sharpness, stabilizer

Cons: Weight, non-removable collar

Opinion: I was torn between the Nikon and this Sigma but reading around the synthesis was "a hair better the Nikon". Weight aside (in Nikon's favor), that hair was worth about 1000 dollars and in my opinion it wasn't worth it. Used on the D810 and D750 did not require adjustments, AF fast, effective stabilizer, sharp already at f/2.8 but if you close to f/3.2 it is spectacular with a great bokeh. Its optimal terrain is f/3.2 with focal from 100mm up to just under 200mm, personally I use it for portraiture and dog photography and even during fast actions does not disappoint at all.

Pros: Build quality, sharpness to all focal points, always precise and fast autofocus, effective stabilizer, f:2,8, ability to customize some features

Cons: Weight

Opinion: I have been using it for about 6 months and I can only confirm the more than positive rating of previous reviews. I think it expresses the best in the sports and action photo: with a precise and very fast autofocus combined with a nikon d500 does not miss a beat. I also use it with the 1.4 duplicator that leads me to a f:4 diaphragm with a focal range of 98-280, which on a dx sensor means having a 150-420 (about) and it seems to me not small!. Good stabilizer. I didn't have any problem calibrating the focus. Good sharpness already at full opening. Unfortunately the only mole the weight, about 1.8 kg., which combined with the weight of the body machine, is felt: the use of the monopod is very useful.

Pros: Construction - sharpness - autofocus - stabilizer

Cons: Weight

Opinion: What to say, a stratospheric lens in all respects. I bought it used when I was 6D, I immediately fell in love with it. Now I've taken it back on my D810, the sharpness of this optics is not afraid at all of the 36 MP The stabilizer is a wonder, I shoot quietly at 1/30 to 200mm. Creamy blurred for fairytale portraits, it's not a 1.4, but it defends itself very well. The autofocus, which is then the one that worried me the most given the negative experience of 105 1.4 ART, is infallible, it will not take a hit except for my mistake, a real satisfaction. One thing against? The weight, but too many are the merits in his favor to take it into account, you forget it after seeing the shots on the PC. Rating 10

Pros: Top construction - Fantastic sharpness to all diaphragms - excellent new stabilizer - Af very fast with the D850 - Paraluce never seen better. Revised in materials (very good) Really unbeatable price quality ratio

Cons: For some the weight, but if you have the opportunity to try it you will forgive the weight

Opinion: After trying that of a friend I sold the Tamron G2 to take this fantastic Sigma which really amazed me in all respects. In pairs with the 850 is simplemonstrous both x speed and quality,I did not do any calibration because perfect at all distances, the construction is unimpeachable in all respects, the only con is the weight (350g more than the others ) but given the performance the I can stand it very well. And as Mike Bongiorno said "increasingly higher" Bravissima Sigma vote 10 and praise

Pros: Construction quality, optical quality, stabilizer, AF buttons, AF, customization/firmware updates, f/2.8, great value for money.

Cons: Weight

Opinion: I would like to start by pointing out that I have no terms of comparison with other lenses of equal class. I come from nikon 80-200 on D610, today I mount the Sigma on the D810 and the passage feels / sees in all respects. The lens is really well built and conveys a good feeling of solidity. Optical yield is in line with the new Sigma. The stabilizer is amazing: 4 stops less. Another gem are the buttons that control the af directly on the barrel. Af is instantaneous and benefits most when working at AF-C. Like all next-generation Sigma, this one is extremely customizable through USB-dock. Unlike other Sigma lenses in my possession, this one did not require focus adjustment. Perfect! Lastly it's a 2.8. Looking at competitors with equal characteristics, the Sigma defeats everyone for value for money. The only drawback, but whoever buys it immediately, is the weight. For me, the 10th deserves it in full.

Pros: All

Cons: I couldn't find It until today

Opinion: I bought this lens for sports jobs but I use it mainly as a portrait lens. I've always worked on portraits with fixed lenses the caliber of the Sigma 85 1.4, but since I bought this lens I'm no longer able to disassemble it. Super ergonomic, autofocus of an incredible precision and speed, definition of the crazy image, to give Pastina even to the fixed. Absolutely oversatisfied, I recommend it with low hands!

Pros: Sharpness, AF speed, construction, customizable buttons

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: Arrived today so not yet held to the bottom but already at first glance SIGMA did center!!! Spectacular lens, both as a building and as optical quality and focus. Tried for now on 7dmk2. You don't miss a shot. Extreme sharpness even at TA. I switched to this from the Canon 70-200 2.8 is I also possess the 150-600 C and I have to say that Sigma with these latest objectives is clearly in step with those of home canon, with the difference that with the dock you can update and set the lens to your liking. More than satisfied!!!
