Pros: Excellent sharpness. Full colors and never kneaded. Great at all diaphragms. Small and light

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: The lens looks very good, it is a pleasure to see it. But aesthetics aside from the picture quality is really remarkable. Good blurry even if it is a micro 4/3. The colors are the Leica ones.I really like the ring of the diaphragms on the head. I'd like the other micro 4/3 targets to have the diaphragm ring as well. Recommended

Pros: Sharpness, , made colors, light, rendered to all openings, compactness.

Cons: Don't get it before.

Opinion: What to say, everything I would have expected that such a small lens would have such a high quality, already at F 1.7 is sharp on almost the entire frame, the only bad thing are the chromatic aberrations always at full opening but are resolved in CR. I can't wait to go around shooting indiscreet for street in my opinion is the maximum, I have to try this genre . On olympus om1 mk2 the autofocus is very fast and the leica rendering is not discussed I immediately noticed the difference in colors between the panaleica and the zuiko. The blurry is beautiful and enhances the foreground with a cinematic effect. I'm finally upset with an optics that excites me, too bad I didn't take it sooner.

Pros: Size; weight; Constructive quality; brightness; AF/MF button; Openings; focal length; AF speed; Made in Japan; Yield to all openings; Minimum focus distance; Bokeh; Fast manual focus ring; extraordinary total absence of the barrel effect

Cons: It causes envy in those who do not have it, it leaves little room for other optics that are likely to go into disuse. Un-tropicalized and unde stabilized?

Opinion: Dimensions perfectly in line with the m4/3 philosophy, it sticks out just 20mm from the G80 shape! Its footprint is practically uninfluential. Weight so minimal that it does not unbalance the camera grip (also due to the size) Construction quality worthy of a handcrafted artifact of maximum precision; Brightness 1.7 that allows you to use the ISO 200 camera in the interior with ease. Convenient af/MF button that allows you to speed up the steps between the two modes in an even more intuitive way. Physical diaphragms, very convenient for those like me who use diaphragms as a starting point in the settings. A very good focal length: from contextualized portraits to landscapes to contextualized and full macros of Bokeh AF instant and precise. Made in Japan ardent as the name LEICA engraved on the front. Great (for my needs) the color yield, sharpness and contrast throughout the frame and all the openings. The reduced focus distance (about 14cm from the sensor, but declare 20?) that allows you to make "macro" photos contextualized with a bokeh effect for the M4/3 system and for the focal length in question. The focus ring is fast and accurate, so it allows fun focus games while shooting. Total absence of barrel effect, great for photos of architectures and especially interiors. It's not tropicalized, why??? There is no stabilization, maybe this is irrelevant to the focal length in question (considering also the stabilized sensor) and maybe the choice was made to contain the price and weight? Vabbé is a p0' wanting to climb on mirrors to find flaws...

Pros: Sharpness, metal construction, small lampshade, rendered on colors

Cons: Chromatic aberrations

Opinion: The most beautiful thing about this lens are the colors it returns, typical of panaleic. The construction is excellent and the presence of the diaphragm diaphragm diaphragm a small treat for vintage lovers. The disused note is the chromatic aberrations, sometimes very invasive. I shot a video that I uploaded to youtube where article better my review:https://youtu.be/sKZOGq3HUMI

Pros: Sharpness, image quality, build quality, versatility, compactness, aperture ring

Cons: Nothing relevant

Opinion: I Write this review after a couple of months from the purchase and after a photo workshop of several days, in which I could pull this lens in different conditions and in different contexts. Verdict: I'm in love with it. Thanks to its focal length I managed to photograph from the landscape to the portrait set, passing through the street without any problems. Initially I was undecided between this lens and the 25 f1.4, but after having tried them both I had no doubts: optical quality practically on par with a fantastic sharpness and contrast that makes the photos live both in color and black and white, but the increased responsiveness and Qu and the 10mm plus made me the easiest choice. Since then, I have practically no more detached from the machine. Turning to the ergonomic side I appreciated the compactness (I can keep it in the pocket of the vest fitted to my G80), and the aperture ring, very comfortable and by romantically analogue usability represents the icing on the cake.

Pros: Size, speed, aperture ring, little digital output.

Cons: Any limit on the AF on GX9, the firmware fault ever updated?

Opinion: Excellent lens for the M4/3 system, one of the must haves because you can really do everything from portrait to landscape, passing through the street and architecture. The yield is little digital on Panasonic bodies, while on Olympus it seems to me an artificial hair. Autofocus good but not lightning on GX9, probably should update the firmware stationary, from what I know, the same with which it came out on the market now almost five years ago. It handles colors and microcontrast well but the best gives it in B/w conversions. For anyone who wants to use the M4/3 system at best, compulsory purchase.

Pros: compactness, optical output, character, AF speed, aperture ring

Cons: Not detected

Opinion: Spectacular target. It produces images with a very special stamp. The blur, although not exaggerated or easy to get (cause sensor M43) is beautiful and very cinematic. Excellent sharpness even at full aperture, it is true that presents a bit of aberration in backlight, but nothing unforgivable or incorrigible view especially the size. Strange focal length, but that made me make peace in my eternal indecision between 28 and 35 equivalents. Coupled with another longer optics (in my case the 45mm, but I'm considering taking the 25 always Panaleica), is a spectacular double to use for anything.

Pros: Sharpness, brightness, build quality, excellent AF, lightness, total automatism with Panasonic machines

Cons: Some slight aberration in particular light conditions, but nothing unmanageable. Ineffective aperture ring with Olympus machine bodies.

Opinion: I own and use this lens on my Lumix G9 and GX8. The quality of the sensor is maximally elevated by the sharpness of this ' glass '. Exceptional chromatic response, precise aperture ring and with automatism, AF excludable and precise, build quality in the best Leica tradition and produced in Japan. I have other lenses, Canon and Panasonic, also professional, but the Panasonic 15mm 1.7 Leica DG Summilux is by far what I prefer. The lightness but at the same time the robustness of the lens are perfectly matched in particular with the GX8. In the hands the whole thing seems ' light ' but instead you have a precious and precise photographic tool. Appropriate for street, reportage and portrait. Equivalent in FF to a 30mm, it offers a very natural angle of field and close shooting with minimum distance of MAF of 20 cm. Excellent sharpness at TA, it reaches its maximum already on values between f 2.8 and F4. Able to give always and however images of high quality, density and detail, is obviously a bright lens that ' sees in the dark '. Particularly recommended for the Lumix system.

Pros: Chromatic yield, microcontroller, TA sharpness, constructive quality, minimum distance of MAF

Cons: Some chromatic aberration to TA, fairly expensive

Opinion: In my opinion one of the absolute u4 / 3 ubiquitous lenses. Bright, clear already at TA, it has a chromatic rendering and a microcontroller of great quality. The 30mm equivalent on FF makes it an all-round lens with a great "narrative" vocation: it is therefore a very good target for the street genre, very good also in the interior, and which can also be used for portraiture. In short, a handyman: accompanied by a 45, it can be enough for a minimalist and lightweight kit.rnPur weighing just over one hectare, is made of high quality materials and comes with a container bag, metal louvers and a double front cap: one to be attached to the hood itself and one when not using the hood. rnTips: On Olympus TA bodies in high contrast areas a chromatic aberration may appear in the green. If it hurts, it just needs to be diaphragmatic. Nothing untold in PP. The price of 550 euros is not low, but we are talking about obiequality of life. I also had his competitor, that is, the very good 17 1.8 Zuiko: this, however, is another pasta. One step above. For those who love u4 / 3, a lens to be taken seriously.

Pros: very bright, extreme sharpness, even at full aperture, build quality, very full set of equipment, lightning-fast AF and always accurate

Cons: not cheap, some chromatic aberration too TA, pronounced barrel distortion, aperture ring unusable on Olympus bodies

Opinion: Use this view of the body Olympus OMD E-M5 Mark I; was my first choice compared to the Canon 17mm Zuiko, for the huge image quality and extreme sharpness at TA, really left me stunned from the very first tests. tonal passages are soft but microcontrast is exciting! full backlighting can be almost equally affected and clear in the focus areas, with no loss of detail and the minimum MAF very small distance (less than 15 cm from the lens front) allows different design possibilities and excellent detachment of the subjects in the first plane from the background to TA and dintorni.rnabituato at 35mm on full frame, this 30mm equivalent offers me some chance in the composition in terms of the "breath" of the image, making it a handy handyman who is really well with both a 25mm (better than 35mm-50mm can be the combination of full-format) to a 45mm.rnla build quality is incredible, remains un'ottica tiny and lightweight but construction standards in line Leica, with the use of high quality materials that give a sense of enormous reliability and robustness. the focus ring is moving for precision and fluidity, the aperture ring makes it a small object from the very vintage mood, too bad that it is usable only on the Panasonic bodies (on Olympus, the iris control is delegated to the single dial on the camera body ). The standard equipment is amazing: bag for transportation, hood metal alloy (among other very nice!), Rear cap and ... well TWO front caps. the distinction, in fact, is that without using a lens hood cap, and if you decide to keep it mounted, unscrew a small protective flange of the hood and engage the same thread, with its own specific rubber stopper! frankly, given the size, I prefer to keep the fixed lens hood also and above all in the frontale.rnveniamo lens protection cons: suffers from chromatic aberration in controluce wide open, which tend to disappear from f / 2.8: however nothing ingestibile.rnLa barrel distortion is quite evident on RAW.rnNon have no idea how to behave correction of Panasonic bodies, but the one applied to the machine JPG Olympus is fairly decisive, even if the manual control of the distortion by Olympus Viewer 3 on RAW, guarantees even migliori.rnnon cheap in an absolute sense, but considering that it comes off about fifty Euros more than the 17mm f / 1.8 Zuiko and is slightly brighter, infinitely more beautiful, the better the yield at room temperature and above all much more complete in the endowment level of evenings (at Zuiko missing even the hood, sold separately!), I would say that it can easily become a better choice ponderata.rnconsigliatissimornrn

Pros: Quality, weight, cost is not exaggerated

Cons: Distortion

Opinion: Using this lens with the Panasonic GH4, to make the excellent video UltraHD offering this camera body. rnSiccome video UltraHD involves a "crop" of the corners, it is less affected by the excessive distortion, as reported by all tests, afflicts this lens (and that photo is corrected following a special firmware) .rnLa definition is high without being just a "razor" (patience), in return, the plasticity or "three-dimensional", if you prefer, the separation of the plans, the color rendering etc. They have a typically Leica, not of those jaw-dropping, but still c'è.rnAnche in close-ups, the minimum distance of focusing, the yield is very interessante.rnConsigliabile to those who love the imprint Leica. Certainly appreciate those who like myself uses (with adapter rings) old Leica R lenses (28mm, 100mm APO) and Nikon AI (135mm) and not very young Nikon AF (300mm f.4). The recent 15mm Leica us toAloga well, there is an aesthetic kinship.
