Pros: Ergonomics, lightness, freehand shooting accompanied by a pro lens you have a great stabilization

Cons: the viewfinder

Opinion: I bought it and I had a great time to premise that I have a second camera body canon eos rp that makes beautiful photos, but the olimpus has a series of very good options, for example procapture a burst to capture a bird in flight, a really great stabilizer, high resolution photos I took several with really surprising results, the integrated nd filters used successfully, the stacking focus. High isos up to 3000 are manageable, and if you use native isos that are at 200 you have a good dynamic range. Then it is tropicalized I used it even in adverse conditions and it responded very well. Interesting is the Af star for shooting the starry sky ... I would change it only with om1

Pros: Convenience of transport

Cons: So much (idiot I who returned to m4/3)

Opinion: I made yet another mistake: I went back to the M4/3 system. I admit that I am not able to exploit its potential but the recovery on the highlights that I had with Sony here I dream of it. Returning a few days ago from a trip abroad I decided to return to the previous system (this time definitively). It is useless for us to turn around. The m4/3 is very comfortable, it allows you to lighten the backpack but the results compared to the system mentioned above are enormously different (and are noticeable, in particular on the dynamic range). And I believe you.... you will say. You're right.

Pros: computational functions, compact and versatile, magnesium alloy and declared interperie strength, the last true Olympus

Cons: Low resolution viewfinder, 4K video only 30fps, uncertainty about the future of the system

Opinion: After 5 years of fuji x-t2 I moved to Olympus and I think I have found my way. Excellent overall quality and with the optical park zuiko pro is like eating bread and mermalade; I almost always use it in the mountains and even under gusts of wind mixed ice never a problem. On the eternal comparisons between fans of the m43 and ff I do not try because I have never cared anything, but I think it is clear that those who point to these machines have well understood the differences of the sensors and know what they want. For me it is a great system suitable for the vast majority of amateurs and should be taken more into consideration given the super quality. No problem even for medium-sized prints. The only uncertainty is the future of the system that seemed a bit 'trudging but then with the OM1 and all the various rebranding seems to have recovered well.

Pros: Ergonomics, operating speed, freehand hd shooting, nd filters in the car, pro Capture improved

Cons: Viewfinder, high ISO (grain), no animal recognition

Opinion: I had the Em-1 mkI, mkII, mkIII and, after a year of heavy use, I can say that the transition from II to III is justified. The machine has a higher overall speed than the II and the Af-C works better. Interesting Nd filters in the car. I used freehand hd shooting a few times and, although with some limitations it works well. I noticed an improvement in the shadows while the noise at high ISO seems to have a coarser grain. In normal light conditions it is a pleasure to use this machine. The pro Capture is improved and usable with Panasonic lenses (only the fixed focus type) and with Olympus optics (also the continuous focus type). Interesting is the Af star for shooting the starry sky. The only bottleneck, the viewfinder that is not up to par. It lacks the recognition of animals which would be quite useful. The purchase is justified if you want a modern, fast and comfortable machine and if you can not afford the OM-1.

Pros: Compactness, little weight, great shutter speed, extreme tropicalization does not fear anything, yield despite the small sensor.

Cons: For what it costs I would say nothing, perhaps the viewfinder can be improved.

Opinion: I had two M2, two X and two M3, I would say that it is the normal evolution of an existing project that works well, obviously those who make comparisons with the FF did not understand anything about the M43, the shutter speed is amazing and the Raw file with the right software (DxO advice) never made me regret having abandoned Canon for a smaller format, surely the compactness of the system has given me back taste to photograph, I carry with me what I need without stressing weight and bulk. What to say I am satisfied, obviously I do not deny certain limits for charity but nothing to complain about or unsolvable.

Pros: Ergonomics, battery, IQ in almost all conditions, lightness, freehand hi-res shooting, star-af, ND filters in the room, ibis, focus stacking in the room, tropicalization

Cons: Price at the exit, Evf and LCD panel obsolete, high iso, menu not really intuitive, lack of GPS and superior display G9 style. Menu button moved from Mark ii

Opinion: For the m43 I think it's the best. The Af I find that for my needs is more than enough. The quality of the images that it brings out if accompanied by good optics, is also excellent. I also used it for night views, and it didn't disappoint. For travel, street, landscapes (with not extreme dynamic range), I think it is very difficult to find a camera that offers similar characteristics. Unfortunately the Evf viewfinder has lagged far behind the competition, this for me is the main flaw. The main display is on the same line, I find it small. The touch in the menus Is not active, as on Sony, and it is a pity. It's pretty sharp, but I think it deserved better. The menu can be improved, but with the quick menu you go little, so it is a non-problem. I was also bothered by moving the menu button from the Mark II.

Pros: Fun, effective, lightweight, all-rounder. Autofocus for the stars. High resolution. Live composite....

Cons: Serious completely unjustified lack of recognition of the eye / head of animals. Very poor battery life. Continuous autofocus. ... then, to want to do the pixel peeper, clearly visible noise already at medium - low iso especially in the shadows, and limited dynamic range

Opinion: "it's practically an Em1ii, not worth the expense.." "she is overpriced in an exaggerated way" they say this about her ..... But they don't know what they're missing. It's probably the most fun, immersive and versatile camera I've ever used... Wherever you take it, you never back down.. Portraits, sports, photographic hunting, landscapes, mechanical or electronic shutter, you always take home something good... I took her asking her to do the R3/R6 on the track, and she said "okay.. but I do not do miracles, at 12800 iso you will see a little noise and as a percentage of photos in focus on 100 photos at least 20 you will have to throw them away, but the result I will take you home ..." I took it asking her to do the Z7ii/FP-L in landscaping and she told me "okay, if you put me on a granite tripod, without wind, without the slightest vibration and with clear air I pull you out 80mpx photos with great detail, beautiful colors and zero noise with +100 recovery on the shadows". Of course, if you analyze the files (normal shot) of any m4/3 at 100%, the limits of the sensor can be seen ... But it ends there.... If you detach yourself from this concept of photography, fun is guaranteed and the results fantastic ... The viewfinder all in all is good, the operating speed is all there, there is no lag. All the keys are in the right place. I use it exclusively with Pro lenses no darker than f4. And even in this case they say "it's not worth it, they cost too much and weigh too much".... Evidently those who say so have never used a 70-200 2.8 per ff or a 600 f4 ... The gain in terms of weight, price and bulk is immeasurable... AUTOFOCUS : good single, with very bright optics focuses almost in the dark. The Continuous one is to be reviewed, like all the other m4/3, it is certainly not as precise and constant as that of many mirrorless slr ff and apsc. However compared to Panasonic (G9) we are on another planet, even the ergonomics and the viewfinder are better, that of the G9 is larger, but uglier. The high-resolution shot is a boon... But it is difficult to use it well, you need the right conditions, but when it succeeds well it makes a huge difference, and if you forget the tripod you can also do it freehand!

Pros: Built very well, stabilizer, hi-res, yield high iso, compact, speed autofocus, ergonomic, viewfinder large.

Cons: Autonomy, non-instantaneous ignition as on the latest SLRs had, light shooter lag.

Opinion: I say mine after three months that I own this beautiful camera. Excellent build quality, tropicalized and very comfortable to hold. Excellent file quality, with beautiful colors and lots of sharpness. Wide and bright viewfinder, but I miss the dear old reflex viewfinder. Stratospheric stabilizer, I shot freehand with the 40-150 pro duplicated at 300 mm at 1/15 without moving. High iso yield that amazed me for being a micro 4/3. If exposed well you can have images with very little noise even at 3200 iso. The hi-res mode offers the possibility of having spectacular images up to 80 mpixel using the tripod. I find it usable in still life and in photos of Interiors or architecture. Less in the landscape as it is subject to air turbulence. In the cons I put the autonomy, perhaps because recently I abandoned the REFLEX system and I had become accustomed too well in this aspect. Another negative feature is a slight delay from when you turn the ignition lever at the operating time, little to tell the truth but I feel it. For example, with the last two SLRs, the 90D and the D780, the ignition was instantaneous. I also feel a slight shooter lag. To conclude, the M1 MK3 is an excellent camera with many advantages and few negligible defects. If you accept the m4/3 system with its shortcomings it is in my humble opinion the best camera that embodies all those that are the merits of this system. Rating 9.5

Pros: Construction, jpeg, high resolution mode, silent shooting and compact size to be a flagship. Record-breaking stabilization.

Cons: Complicated menu and viewfinder that can be improved, although it can be used without problems.

Opinion: I come from Nikon and Leica M, and I traded due to vision and weight limitations my m240 with a new kit based on this SLR. Camera body built very well, autofocus for my perfect use, image quality for me usable without patemi up to 3200 ISO, 1600 without problems. After 9 months of passage I do not regret in the least the Leica m240, which I no longer used even as an image what little I lost I do not miss. Ah I forgot the jpegs are perfect to my taste in 80 percent of cases in natural mode. Very convenient nd filter in the car and excellent stabilization.

Pros: Versatility

Cons: The sale of Olympus to Japan Industrial Partners ...

Opinion: Taken from March in place of the equally valid E-M1 II. High resolution shot from 50 or 80 Mega Pixels on stand or free hand, Live Composit, AF star sky, built-in ND filters, Auto Focus Tracking very good, Pro Capture for shooting freezing the moment, great image stabilizer if then used with the lens PRO 12-100 becomes outstanding for night photos... With this machine you have everything at your fingertips and you can really have fun in all kinds of photography. The menu at the beginning makes a little tribution, but after you understand it you can customize to your liking with the call of the dedicated keys. Good image quality, noise after 600/800 ISO still manageable in PP, excellent battery life and good electronic viewfinder. Too bad that with Lightroom some photographs are not read in a taken way, for example black and white photos or with ART filters are imported without these effects, for this you have to use the dedicated Olympus program "Workspaces" or other. Camera suitable for everything, especially for excursions and travel. Knowing that it was probably the last of Olympus I will keep it nice tight for a long time ! NB : The differences compared to the E-M1 II are minimal, AF star sky still manageable freehand, high resolution freehand shot, built-in ND filters, some keys on the machine however customizable, sensor however excellent also that of the E-M1 II

Pros: Joystick, high-resolution shot (50 mpx) freehand, nd filters, eye focus, stabilization, customizable autofocus schemes

Cons: to be a 4/3 micro, nothing

Opinion: I upgraded from em1 mark 2. First impressions are very satisfying. Great placement of the joystick that allows a nice improvement in speed for focus. I really appreciated the ability to use the software to use nd filters (up to nd 32) so you don't lose in quality when mounting on the lens. The freehand high res shot is just fabulous. The focus on the eye, unlike the mark 2, works! The stabilized is perfect. It allows you to make freehand shots that are really impossible with other brands. Very satisfied!

Pros: Eye af improved, joystick, freehand hi res shot, scary stabilization, new "my menu"

Cons: for a m4/3 i cons in this case are very few... maybe still the menu a little tangled and sometimes difficult to read.

Opinion: The M1 III is now a mature camera, it has everything you want in a camera and even more. The new freehand HI RES shuttering features and the built-in ND filter are great and very useful. Eye af significantly improved compared to the M1 II, now it is very fast, responsive and very precise, very similar to Sony's eye af... In any case, the whole industry seemed really good to me. Stabilization now allows almost the unthinkable until a few years ago, sharp freehand shots and without micro-movements even of 2-3 seconds that in my opinion are a lot of stuff especially for those who travel, do not want to carry a tripod and is in the presence of scenes with little light. The ergonomics is improved with the presence of the new joystick and the movement of some function key. Iso key now dedicated (finally). Another important thing is the new "my menu" customizable and very quick to consult. The image quality seemed to me slightly improved especially at the high iso... ok very little stuff, but you still manage to notice. Overall I found the new EM1 mark 3 a complete camera and very suitable for frequent travelers.

Pros: Precise and responsive autofocus, cluttered weight ergonomics, improved quality, stabilization that is unparalleled, 50 mega free hand HI-RIS shot in raw, ND filter, multi selector now present,

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: immediately I noticed a marked improvement from the M1 II both in the operating speed both in AF and in the cleaner file now having the new processor, this M III is very close to the X that still remains the forefather, now the stabilization reaches 7 stops like the x , the new ND filter is a mana from the sky having the 7-14 now you can use it without filters, what then say the setting AF sky stars even here who practices night photos you will find this really important setting without always having to set to infinite focus that to want lte wrong, who immediately sparred for the few improvements now you have to think again because even the file is improved cleaner the machine always ready and responsive, then the new shutter as has the X 400000 shots in warranty is not little stuff, the body improved even in the to robustness with new seal, I conclude by saying that once again Olympus has made center putting on the market a great car, now for those who travel want so much quality and freedom of movement this is the best choice that there is
