Pros: Sharpness, overall quality

Cons: Af a bit slow on some camera bodies

Opinion: I have now owned it for a year, I consider it really valid especially for goat fauna and sports. The stabilization is very good, despite the weight you can also shoot freehand. Very good sharpness then mounted on a machine like the D500 becomes a bomb capable of giving incredible shots but above all it goes very well with the needs that the D500 possesses. Using this lens on some machines L'af becomes slower such as on D800 or D810. I don't always use multipliers because I've noticed that it loses quality. The price may seem high but to be a 200-500mm also costs relatively little. The weight is there but it is normal. Sharp already at full aperture, during zoom, it does not lose sharpness, at 500mm you work better by closing at f6.3. Obviously using it at F8 you get the best depth of field for this kind of zoom. I recommend it to both a pro and an amateur, I think this is a perspective that could also be used in professional sports and non-sports fields.

Pros: sharpness

Cons: nobody

Opinion: I tried a Sigma 150-600 many times that gave me a friend on loan. Unsatisfactory as sharpness. Found this used optics (used very little equal to the new one) and more than ever I did not evaluate the purchase before. They're going to get heavy, but it's going to be there. Excellent sharpness, even in crop difficult to lose it. F 5.6 real, you take advantage of all the firepower even at 500. When accompanied by a good sensor that bears the increase in iso well I do not feel great difficulties in very good VR shaded areas that saves life in difficult conditions. Quick autofocus (comparison to the optics used by me so far I can only be satisfied) Great rotation for switching from 200 to 500 but I don't think it's a big deal. The perfect ring/bracket to be used as a handle. The lampshed, many people consider it poor, does not, in my opinion, affect the overall judgment of this lens, which I think is more than positive.

Pros: Optical quality slightly superior to the competition. Autofocus very good but not perfect on ML, with Z6II sometimes loses the subject but I think it's because of the FTZ adapter. Color rendering and very good definition in proportion to the cost.

Cons: NITAL ASSISTANCE took about 2 years to fix a problem, if that's the best guarantee to let it go, a shame.

Opinion: After buying it used I took the first shots, unpresentable photos with split images so I took it to assistance since luckily (????) was still under warranty Nital, after various adventures and a couple of years of unused was sent to Germany to Nikon Europe where they finally fixed it (at least at the moment it works well). Having said that I would add that I have done comparative tests with two other competition optics. Sammy too heavy and unbalanced but still performing, Tammy light but AF slow and construction that looks like a toy so in the end I prefer the 100mm less but a fixed diaphragm at 5.6 and a VR that I find very good. It is not the lens to take for a walk if you are not physically gifted and my back does not allow me so for birdlife I mount it on Gimbal and I feel satisfied. I just add that it always takes a good light for these canvases otherwise there is no point complaining. In conclusion, I vote 9.5 to the target, for Nital I do not speak to avoid a complaint .....

Pros: Compact, 500mm f5.6 real and very exploitable, AF fast but improves with a more modern module, effective VR, you shoot under safety time. Honest price

Cons: Plastic and ecomomic keys such as the lampshed, modified with inner black velvet. Comfortable zoom ring but with very "long" stroke and alas the optics are also stretched.

Opinion: Bought a few years ago in the UK... €1300 warranty has expired, but has not shown any problems. Taken to replace the Tamrex first series, which I have no regrets about but for those 100mm... but it had other kidneys, during the warranty period ultrasonic engine failure, contact and a lot of dust inside. QUindi in the gearbox I preferred to choose a fixed diaphragm losing 100mm but acquiring an "original" and decidedly more balanced optics than the Tamrex during brandishing and use, of course, with camera+BG+additional battery we are at 3.5kg, not a few. This Nikon, on the other hand, is now almost 5 years old and is like the first day, often used as the only optics for photo hunting, always satisfying shots, certainly at TA it is indicated for short-distance shots, for animals over 20meters you have to close, vr is super effective, you shoot safely under safety times. Sure... when the light goes down and you're on edge with the times, the photos knead... but I think it's physiological, even for an ine expert and amateur user like I am. For protection I use it with quality 95mm filter and camouflage tutina, the lampshade I coated it internally with black velvet to avoid reverberations, it is light and the hook is not the most solid, definitely economical. As the first "cheap" step is perfect, recommended, the next could be an old 300mm f2.8 with multipliers or the more modern 500 f5.6 fixed compact, but let's talk about quite other digits.

Pros: Cost, especially since it is an original Nikon. Excellent stabilizer: you can shoot safely at 1/100 to 500mm by immobilizing the subject.

Cons: Blurry doesn't get to fixed levels, something brighter may be needed in the bush

Opinion: I'm upset about buying this goal. Bought new through parallel market, I took it home really for an excellent price: there are no other objectives of the parent company of equal quality that you can afford the same affordability of expenditure. Truly wide focal range from 200 to 500 allows you an infinite number of uses. Sometimes, you know zoom is never enough, I would have preferred to have a 300 - 600 in my hands, it would have been TOP. To date I have always mounted it on the D500 and in APSC format I do not consider it necessary to pair it with multipliers thus reaching an excellent yield attached to the machine as a solitary element. Used for some photo shots from sheds (bear, grunts, jay) I was surprised: the excellent stabilizer allows its use quietly even with bean-bag leaving the photographer more dynamism in the shots: if the subjects are immobile support the bag lens, if they begin to move use the machine directly by hand. Of course, it is unthinkable to use it for a long time freehand both for weight and for the long extension that comes to occupy on the 500 mm focal that makes everything really bulky and unseen. I also lament, like so many others, the much rotation that needs to be imprinted on the railing to move the focal point: sometimes I think it is more practical to push up and down the external lens transforming the lens as if it were a shotgun, the mechanism should not suffer. I hope. Enough brightness for outdoor shots, obviously with 5.6 in the woods it becomes a bit painful when you get to sunrise or sunset. I will end with the clarity that I think is excellent even at the utmost openness. If you want to start with photography from a shed for particularly shy subjects (wildlife) who will never get close to it again than so much I would say that it is the best to start this new adventure. I would leave alone the optics of "competing" houses that for a few € less expire a lot with quality. Then to improve the photo set there will always be time and move on to some serious fixed

Pros: Engraving, VR, fixed minimum iris, price

Cons: Lampshed, long zoom ring excursion

Opinion: I have been using it for some time, and I am fully satisfied with it. Very sharp and engraved, it has an excellent VR that allowed me to shoot freehand even in prohibitive conditions, but remember to always undock it *before* turning off the machine, otherwise to let it unlock sharp movements with the machine off could damage it. I also really appreciate the constant minimum diaphragm throughout the excursion. It's a little heavy, but from such a perspective you can't expect more, it can help a harness. The zoom lock on the minimum focal is also convenient. Efficient focus, the lampshon is quite a plasticone, but its work does. You have to take your hand with the long excursion of the zoom ring: you can not turn it all the way without taking your hand off; an alternative is to hold the bracket mounted, hold the lens from that and spin the ring with your fingertips. Overall, even in relation to equivalent optics, it has an excellent Q/P ratio.

Pros: Engraving, weight balance, price, constant opening, reasonable size

Cons: For the price range I would say nothing

Opinion: I have owned this lens for about a year and I can say that it is the easiest way to look at the "super canvas" photograph without spending a fortune and without struggling too much to carry it. The performance is really good, the lens is crisp and the stabilization (combined with the relatively low weight) exceptional allows you to shoot even freehand! With the D850, shooting in DX mode, you get to 800mm that are not really a few for a canvas with 5.6 aperture! Of course it's not tropicalized, it's made of plastic, it doesn't have nanocrystals, it's not a f4... blah blah blah. In my opinion it is best buy, and if you are not a professional who really needs superior quality and robustness, it has no equal in the market.

Pros: Accurate, vr stratospheric, well-balanced, optical performance

Cons: For the price range none. Maybe the lampshade.

Opinion: I've owned it for 3 years. Paired with D500 is a bomb. At 400mm and f5.6 is, af speed aside, at the same level as a fixed optics (and I say this from owner of 500 f4), to 500mm to have the top goes diaphragated to f8. Af very precise but a little slow. For the rest it is a very recommended lens, especially for safaris and itinerant shots. I took him to South Africa, with the D500 he didn't miss one and I say one photo. If it had a faster af it would cost at least twice as much.

Pros: Value for money, weight compared to other supertles, excellent stabilizer

Cons: A couple of times he went into the af freeze, sometimes I seem to suffer too much heat haze (hot air masses over long distances)

Opinion: I have been using it for 3 years and I have to say that it is almost perpetually mounted on the reflex (a D610 that does not shine for af but the pairing has taken away from me anyway great satisfactions in naturalistic ... not being able to invest large budgets, however, I am more than satisfied). Chosen for the lower weight than the Sigma 150 600 S because I walk a lot, but if one moves little I recommend the latter for the 100mm more (in Italy you are always short with supertele). Made great but I have to complain photos kneaded over long distances at certain times, I think it is common to all canvases but it gives me the impression that the cheap ones suffer more. A couple of times he even blocked the af and I had to turn off and turn on the reflex to make it work. I have never been able to try more performing equipment but I still feel very good and highly recommend it. The lampshade does not seem to me to be a problem at all, it fits perfectly and the bag to me does not serve by placing the equipment in an ICU inside the backpack.

Pros: price,full-open sharpness,stabilizer,weight

Cons: lampshade, tripod bracket, case.

Opinion: I bought it at the end of July excellent value for money, sharp already at full opening the maximum reaches it to f8,the weight is not excessive you can use freehand thanks to an excellent vr,obvious that after a few hours the weight is felt.the autofocus is not a rocket if para 200-400 f4 but it's normal the latter costs 5 times as much.it has no major defects apart from the bracket of the tripod a little short if used on gimball nsit of a longer plate otherwise it remains unbalanced especially at 500 mm,very thin lampshade and case imbarrazzante.in summary a lens that I recommend with 1300 euros we take home a nital lens of excellent quality without having to spend a capital.unfortunately I have to sell it to buy the fixed 500 mm.

Pros: Sharpness, price, stabilizer, good af although not lightning, lightness

Cons: sad soft bag

Opinion: As far as I'm concerned, I find a very successful view. I come from 150-600 Sport and as sharpness we are there, maybe a little bit worse, but I have to say that my copy is beautiful sharp and does not make him regret in the least. Finally I can use freehand optics and even to track the subject in flight is no longer a problem thanks to the weight contained. Autofocus ok and outstanding stabilizer. Tropicalization and the construction of 70-300 giant, I do not consider it a problem. For me, it's a best buy. I'm going to keep it until the 200-600 for nikon Z.

Pros: Optically egregious, incredible stabilizer, price, very soft and ergonomic zoom ring

Cons: Slow AF, plasticose construction, unwatchable lens hood

Opinion: We assume that to decide I bought both him and the 150-600 sport, and making a comparison 1:1, I decided to keep the Sigma. But let's talk about this Nikon. Optically it is very good, especially in terms of sharpness. What is lacking compared to a fixed in my opinion, is the contrast. I tried to make a 1:1 comparison with the Nikon 300 2.8, and it turned out to be a big difference in terms of contrast and color depth. For the rest, the sharpness is very similar to a high-level fixed. But unfortunately the AF is slow, there is nothing to do. Here the differences are exaggerated, and for a slightly more "cheerful" use, will show all its limits compared to a fixed as a 500 F4 or a 300 2.8 multiplied. The construction is unfortunately very scarce, all plastic, including the lens hood, which does not even possess a knurling to counteract the reflexes. This constructive choice influences the weight, which is very low, allowing a clear hand use even for the most "Gracilini". The VR is scary, even on a d500 (maximum pixel density in the Nikon house along with the d850) can provide perfectly sharp images even with times of 1 \ \ 50. This allows you to stay content with the ISO, and diaphragm up to F8 to get maximum sharpness. In conclusion It is a very nice lens, optically incredible, with a stabilizer and a weight that allow a free hand use even for whole days, and with a price all in all given. I decided to hold the Sigma simply because I prefer to feel the metal than the plastic, and because the AF is much more responsive. At the optical quality level at F8 find differences is difficult, to TA maybe the Sigma is a sharper hair, but it's not exactly a discriminant.

Pros: Versatility, weight, transportability, VR

Cons: Construction, Tropicalization

Opinion: I had this lens for several months, then I was stolen, but I have not regained it because I believed, and I think the Sigma 150-600 sports sharper even at the maximum length at full aperture. Which was also demonstrated in a site where they perform scientific tests. This site is the only one that I personally trust and that reflects what I could see on the field after trying and used different optics in the span of about 15 years..... The 200-500 does not reach the resolution of certain compatible optics such as the above mentioned Sigma. However I consider it a versatile and economical alternative, but I honestly do not know if I will regain it.

Pros: Light, compared to a fixed quality, well-handled freehand, less on stand (varying the focal length if mounted on gimbal need a long plate to adjust the weight balance), very effective VR (5 Stop), quick excursion of Focal soft, easily removable support ring.

Cons: Construction quite "Cheap", but given the price, you could not ask for better, lens hood can be improved and impractical (hooking), sometimes if you do not pay attention, in the handling risk of parading, short support plate, needs in fact for use by stand A long plate (Arca Swiss), which distributes the weight during the Zoom excursion.

Opinion: I've been using it for about 10 months, and although I'm not fond of wandering photographic hunting, I use it as a shed, it has been able to give me, especially on D810 and D500, good impressions and good images. Already sharp from f 5.6 (base diaphragm) reaches the maximum between F 7.1/F8, diaphragms that have been used, in my view, this type of Zoom, then with good light, which also facilitates the speed of engagement, a bit ' deficit with machines already of them, not very fast. The stabilizer is very welcome for "free-hand" shots and closed diaphragms, it actually helps to stabilize effectively up to 5 stops. Not bad I would say. Và purchased with the knowledge of the cause, what you will use, in a kit with a fixed important, maybe long (500/600mm F4) is a good compendium, if you do not have a 70-200 to multiply if necessary, not disfigure certainly in comparison. Its forte is the versatility, on that one, it has no equal. With the TC 1.4 III, I never used it, it would be necessary to shoot at least F11, which I have always avoided, cause the diffraction to occur. Ultimately a good Zoom that winks at the wallet. Highly recommended.

Pros: Price/quality ratio. Sharpness. AF pretty quick.

Cons: A little heavy, but you can't have it all...

Opinion: Bought recently, it seems to me from the first 100 photos that worth all the money that costs. On the D7500 becomes an excellent tele. Wonderful VR. Even freehand does not disappoint. A little long the zoom excursion, but on easel and for birdlife you choose first and does not require that small tweaks. The price, taking into account the offers is very affordable.

Pros: sharpness, focal length especially when mounted on APS-C bodies

Cons: Too long the ride to go from 200mm to 500, AF not at the levels of the name Nikon, lack of tropicalization, accessories supplied (bag for transport ridiculous).

Opinion: Taken 6 months ago by the trusted dealer. On D500 The optics is very good at sharpness level and VR, it would be perfect if it had an AF a little faster, sometimes it really makes me blasphize when compared to other Nikon optics. I'd like to try it on FF body as a D5 and then compare its results. In conclusion The value for money is good... Even more advantageous if bought with some promotion from the importer!

Pros: Sharpness, focal length, f5.6 on all focal lengths. price

Cons: Lens hood, transport bag, autofocus, lack of tropicalization.

Opinion: Before I had a Sigma 150-500, AF was faster, but the sharpness at TA left something to be desired. I took the 200-500 and I must say that gave me shots I'm proud of. Apart from the AF speed when I have to shoot subjects in flight (not always hook them), for the rest I am very satisfied. On the d7500 behaves very well, on the d610 I had to calibrate the AF to +2. Surely for those who, like me, bird photography is better a DX. For subjects in dark or relatively close areas the FX returns a much wider range of colors and a higher workable ISO yield. It is only necessary to understand how to set the stabilizer, on DX it works much better than on the FX, on the latter it is sometimes better to deactivate it. In conclusion, I highly recommend it. A great goal ...

Pros: Great definition and color rendering, excellent rendering of details at the maximum focal length, excellent stabilization that allows an excellent use freehand

Cons: Attack of the lens hood not up to the quality of the optics; non-tropicalized lens, a slightly plastic finish

Opinion: I bought this optical zoom on the advice of a professional friend, who knows my way to shoot and, I must be honest, I was surprised by the quality that this lens, which I would call economic for the price given the focal extension, can always guarantee , even at the maximum focal.rnThe use on D800 and, above all, on D810 and some time also on D500, so the detail yield for me is really a delicate point that I value to buy a lens: this lens does not disappoint and I often prefer it to the Sigma 150-600 Sport because it seems to me far more manageable in the freehand use.rnThe color rendering is excellent, as you can see in these shots: rnrnhttps: //www.flickr.com/photos/henry62 / albums / 72157688069668980

Pros: Price, construction, sharpness, VR, versatility, Nikon brand

Cons: AF, weight, detachable bracket but remain protruding screws, rotation of the zoom ring, elongation

Opinion: I had this lens on D800, D810 and on D850. I Can tell from old Nikonista that it is a dream that is realized, at least on paper: Finally an affordable super tele, at maximum fixed opening, with a stunning VR, from home Nikon so perfectly compatible with its SLR cameras. The Optical Quality Considering the price is more than satisfactory, just a little of sharpening species at 500 mm at TA. Even with the TC14 you bring home the photo at the level of sharpness, with some problems for the AF that is even more DMVs. With the TC20 better leave it alone. I do Not do avifauna however the slowness of the AF compared to 70-200/2.8 is evident as well as the difficulty in low light being an F/5.6. It is beautiful, apart from the hood so plasticky and cumbersome, but also has the function of protection: In case of fall would disintegrate the lens hood, coaxial, without transmitting the impact to the barrel. Some replace it with a metal lens hood screwed to the filter ring: If it bangs, the big damage is safe. The things I didn't like, apart from the weight, are the obscene elongation which reaches 500 mm, the slow zooming, in the sense that you have to turn both the ring to go from 200 to 500: On a foreign forum I read the idea of using the zoom as it was to pump , you take it to the front lens and you pull it back and forth. Maybe it's the best way to break it down so I wouldn't trust it! Then I do not like that removing the large bracket to save on weight remain horrendous protruding screws exposed. Of the bag I don't care about anything so I keep it in my backpack. In case of photographic exits a short distance from the car is ideal, but for long trekking, in the backpack together with some other boulder of the Triad 2.8, becomes challenging, at least for me. You Have to leave something at home (which of course will prove the wrong choice). You Will get sharp photos freehand even with times unthinkable thanks to a very effective VR. Definitely has great value for money, not typical of Nikon, it is very versatile as focal, although the maximum aperture restricts it.

Pros: Sharpness, autofocus, vr.

Cons: Bracket lens.

Opinion: After many reviews of photographers on YouTube I decided to buy the 200-500 vr 5.,6.a first impact I immediately noticed the material a bit 'plastic. Then I took some free trial shots and was amazed looking at the pictures on the computer. Even at 1/10 of a second I managed to photograph with a focal length of 500 mm that on d500 equals 750mm. The bracket disappointed me as I expected the 70 200 2.8 instead. When I want to go from a horizontal to a vertical frame, I do not give the maximum, as does the lens hood. But they are always lost in the details. In conclusion, optics that gives free hand satisfaction without problems and does not weigh much.

Pros: image quality, stabilizer, balance, price

Cons: autofocus

Opinion: Wonderful purchase !! I'm tempted to get rid of 70-200 f / 2.8. Also in ta it returns very valid images. A f / 8 is incredible. Autofocus, on the other hand, is somewhat undecided in poor light or in contrasting subjects, but it is perfectly managed with the manual. Using the monopod is extremely easy to bring home remarkable shots. Used at 200 ISO with good light ensures clear shots even freehand. I find no flaws, indeed: very happy with the gift I got! The bag is a bit 'miserable but I use the backpack so much and I do not pose the problem. Lens hood suitable for made in china. Pros: Image quality, reduced weight (in relation to the focal length reached), price.

Cons: Horrible plastic hood, a little laborious to insert.

Opinion: The optics has a really good price ratio. It delivers sharp, contrasting shots. It does not have a pro construction and can not compete with fixed supertels (I had the 300 f2.8 and the 200-400 f4 vr II), but it still stands very honestly. Basically, I strongly recommend it except to those who often sneak in particularly hostile conditions.

Pros: Sharpness also at TA, price, VR

Cons: Hood (unmistakable), bag, tropicalization

Opinion: Taken to replace the 300 Sigma I had to duplicate. It's very slow, both as a construction and as a price, very affordable especially because it does not have to be used professionally, apart from the hood that is a scandal for such a lens and the bag really poor (make it pay 50 euros more and put accessories like it Must) the sharpness even to TA has nothing to envy to much more expensive optics. Good and solid shafts, unfortunately construction means that it extends considerably and therefore can not be tropicalized, which for an optician destined to be used outside can be a problem. The AF, even on dated machines, is acceptable (not at 70/200 levels) due to the magnitude of the optics. The optical excellence for the price as well as the VR although it is advisable to use it with the monopod.

Pros: Value for money.

Cons: Bag.

Opinion: I'm not a technician and I do not understand anything about the materials and graphics, after 9 years of 400 / 2.8 I needed a lens that would allow me to shoot freehand and be transportable to hiking. After many indecisions I decided to take it, I feared to be disappointed by confusing it with the fixed, but I was very overwhelmed by the sharpness, excellent even at full opening, and by the outstanding stabilizer. Although I did not have a physical gym I used it for free hours during a coastal trip. I think that for those who have Nikon there is nothing better at the same price.

Cons: Not tropicalized

Opinion: Indispensable for those who want to move in the mountains on rough terrain or rocks, heavy to the point not to unbalanced the path, I find it to be a good compromise, not at the level of the fixed, but sometimes unusable due to the overall size .... Pros: vr incredible, fixed aperture 200 to 500, very competitvo price. Sharp, sports mode for panning.

Cons: The bag could seem something more useful

Opinion: 200 to 500 becomes useful for sports, reportage and even birds which needs a doubler at least 1.4 for the full formato.rnNon think there are optical level and price that can compete, to go nettamante addition, there are fixed, with specificity of use and prices even comparabili.rnIl VR allows you to take the flight, the rest is up to the engine of the lens and not least to that of the camera body. On Dx gains that x1.5 that fills some gaps focal length. It has a more versatile use of only the use of the shed and tripod, you may very well leave without. rnDi contrast, many birds flee or allontanao, requiring longer focal lunghe.rnA 200 can also make good pictures, with a nice blurred. It lacks definition. A lens to be worn with the cintuta the shoulder reflex, certainly not to collo.rnIl lens hood is not so difficie to assemble, just see the points and turn, also very useful to keep the dust off and riflessi.rnA all across where it requires a minimum of practice or a support, especially after a busy day of Look-ion. rnRimane always a balanced lens with a very attractive price.

Opinion: I bought this lens for a week and I must say that so far has met my expectations. For now I have only photos "static" nature, next try with sports mode. I'm using a Nikon D500 and I have to say that the combination is vincente.Il weight is not excessive, and being well balanced is not a problem, so it is true that for now I have not used in the tripod to monopod.

Pros: construction, color rendering, slightly lighter sharpness other canvases, price, optical stabilizer

Cons: AF slow compared to other Nikon, weather sealing, the lens holder silly.

Opinion: I'm using it for about a week on my D750, it is a great lens but challenging, not only because of its weight (about 2.3 kg). For photographic excursions we recommend a good monopod if you do not want to go home with lactic acid to the biceps. For the rest is truly exceptional, excellent yield is 200 to 500 even at TA. frightening stabilization, you can also shoot a 4-stop light and the difference is not a trivial matter if you shoot freehand. The lens is not Tropicalized but I challenge anyone to shoot in the pouring rain or during a sandstorm. Surely it is an excellent lens for predominantly static subjects. For birdlife is really difficult to manage or better maybe I just have to take all that familiar with this monster that Nikon has produced about 2 years ago. I repeat for the price which is really a lens lady. Recommended to all those who want to approach the world of wildphotography and lead to more of a decent shot home.

Pros: sharpness, construction

Cons: weight

Opinion: I have this goal to two weeks, and due to various commitments I could use it in 2 outputs. Photographer especially animals in their natural habitat, so the light is not always my ally, but I must say that this goal has stunned me. It is not as dark as I had read in some review. but above all guarantees amazing sharpness, even at 500 mm. coming from a nikon 70 300 and with him there? is not even remotely compare. counter I have to admit that the weight you really feel, but I think for me it's just a matter of habit. really satisfied.

Pros: Light, sharpness, contrast, excellent Vr, quality / price ratio, strength and quality "macro."

Cons: Catch the hood (negligible and ovviabile), not weather sealed (ovviabile), suffering from slight chromatic aberration and Autofocus not fast.

Opinion: This is a review date of my photographic experience. It needed a good zoom lens ... (the quality to mè is primary!) ... The choice was between the Sigma S, and the Nikkor. Having had the opportunity to make a direct comparison between the two zoom to any focal aperture and ISO settings, I chose the Nikkor, purchased a month and tried in a variety of lighting conditions and natural environments. Practical birdlife and I was amazed at the quality of this remarkable optical zoom, (I'm used to the 300 to 600 f2.8 and f4.0), do not liken it to his brother 200/400 f4 ... but not for long ... trasportabilissimo is in action "slewing" like a dream I, the "smooth" use of D 7200 which makes me 750 mm is not much, but we know that practicing the WildLife mm are never sufficient ... the Vr is excellent and I point out that given the nature of the zoom should be used freehand for the speed of the action, to seize the moment ... l & #39, AF is not very fast and, as I said before suffering a slight chromatic aberration. The fixed f.5.6 electromagnetic diaphragm is accurate, do not say it can be a primary goal ... that's a status that belongs to the 300 to 600 f2.8 and f4.0 ... but if, had the most responsive autofocus i would say that it could be in its case ... the excursion for zooming is "long" but resolves accessory / s offering the photographic market, for the weather sealing is solved by placing a good lens cover ... but who of all of you even when it rains photographer taking into account the lighting conditions or jumps in a sandstorm ??! Brava NIKON we were not deluso.rnA this remarkable zoom vote as I give a nice 9.7: see the photos that I put in this site with this zoom lens in galleries ... butterflies and birds.

Pros: optical quality, well-balanced goal, VR

Cons: not weather sealed

Opinion: Just purchased and immediately tried it with my Nikon D610. I ran a series of photos freehand, using obviously the VR which behaves very well. Excellent quality of the lens. I found a little difficulty in focusing but I intend to try it on other occasions. Excellent color rendering in nef format. I think that the lens is really interesting for the cost / quality ratio.

Pros: Sharpness, VR, the price, the focus speed.

Cons: Not weather sealed, the hood, the lens door silly. The lens hood makes me crazy every time

Opinion: I was torn between this and the sigma 150-600 sport. In the end I opted for the nikon for less weight (which still makes itself felt when shooting without support), constant aperture and the price well below the sigma (paid 1000 euro against 1500 of sigma). Now with the price difference I will buy a monopod and a Lenscoat cover to make birds. rnAGGIORNAMENTO the grafting to the hood makes me really damn; for the rest I confirm the quality of the lens.

Pros: AF speed, sharpness and VR, useable in a really positive way with the TC 1.4

Cons: Coupling lens hood, case, not 'tropicalized

Opinion: I was undecided about purchasing, between this lens and the Sigma 150-600 s, already 'tested and appreciated by many, but I wanted to keep the same house, which I have the camera body, without spending very high figures. I am satisfied, I recommend it to all those who do not want to spend too much, and people who do not want excessive weights. Of course you can not compare you have older brothers (200-400 or 300 F2.8) But value for money, I find myself interessante.rnPer deserves attenzione.Un greeting, Nicolo'rn

Pros: Sharpness, speed AF

Cons: small hood

Opinion: Spectacular, tried in air show of the PAN. I had never had pictures of this kind, with such great detail. I think I made a great choice. the troops found very interesting figure market under € .1.100,00; first purchase from eGlobal Central. I had problems with the Italian shipping company that delivered the package elsewhere, a bit 'of chills, but now a distant memory, deleted from the interesting and beautiful photos taken with the D750 coupled. Good light at all ....

Pros: Value, autofocus, image stabilization, usable with TC 1.4, balanced in the pan

Cons: Nothing "fatal" however: ready case, lens hood graft helical excursion to go from maximum to minimum focal length or vice versa, not weather sealed

Opinion: Start right away by declaring that they are satisfied with this aim that I'm using with my camera D7200.rnrnLa positive perception is based on past experience with other lenses and therefore should not be considered absolute ovviamente.rnrnHo had 300 afs F4 I used multiplied on NIKON D300s and then the 150,600 tamron; only the latter also used on NIKON D7200.rnrnGiudico this the best lens Tamron constructively as AF speed and, as a project, with a good value (6 meters) of the AF range limiter (that the Tamron was 15 meters ) .rnL'AF is extremely quiet; not the feeling of extreme reactivity but in essence it is rather quick and preciso.rnrnRispetto to 300 AFS F4 with TC 1.7 This zoom is, in my opinion, better as AF speed and accuracy while compared to 300 with TC 1.4'd say speed and precision are equivalgono.rnrnLa zoom versatility is obviously the reason why I bought so unlike "infinite" thanl fixed. The 200 500 multiplied (I have the TC 1.4 II) amazed me that still allows for usability and clarity that I got in a few shots (I'm here on Juza) ... close subjects in good light and it must be said. . then ottimali.rnrnQuanto conditions of my positive experience depends on the lens and how much by the best AF control of the camera body does not know dire.rnrnLo use as I have always done with my lenses stopping down, in light conditions that allow it, at least one stop (to F8 then) compared to the maximum opening that is F5,6.rnrnPer use the zoom going true low as focal (is the situation where the subject approaches in flight for example) should be challenged in a special way otherwise you can not "start all over"; the possibility of using it in a "pump" would have been nice but it is not (at least for me) a question irrinunciabile.rnrnIn two occasions, in contrast with support and with vegetation, I dropped the hood; then the block of Inscion of the lens hood is not the best but you just get us some definitive attenzione.rnrnrnIn are really happy with the purchase and if you need this type of zoom range I would recommend it even in relation to cost.

Pros: Autofocus, sharpness, manageability, VR, excellent quality / price ratio

Cons: Hood, NOT 'to tropical housing

Opinion: Got to have something handy for trips to punt and / or paths with "photos on the fly" I was surprised by the yield piacevolissimevolmento and colors that this lens offers (perhaps a little too much saturation but nothing that can not be corrected in post). It handles very well if you are used to super telephoto :-D, one thing: the zoom is not really practical, for now I must set before ... I do not know if I should get used to, or is not really thought out the best (but I challenge anyone to make us a zooming shooting). For the rest of the 'it seemed very fast autofocus (mounted on D750) followed well harriers hunting as well as small shorebirds in flight, the VR has helped me and not a little on the small boat rocking and actually makes you "save" some stop (then course for in-flight photos of the fastest times we want the same :-D) ... suffers a little bit of flare in backlit, but it's still a zoom and just be a little careful .... sure the lens hood is not the maximum ... potevano make a nice screw optional professional lens hood to those who wanted it, would be a nice icing on the cake, however, for the price ... you can not have everything from ... Another flaw, for people like me (and I think many they will buy this lens), which will bring the lens from dust, splashes and bad weather .... to be careful because it is not weather sealed; I hope that in a camouflage cover improves the situation neoprene ... (so there 's I put the same: -D). So: recommended for those who want a lens to handle by hand to carry around easily without breaking the rump (mine is put this lily) ... sure the paintings to 2.8 or 200-400 are better ... but they are also very more weights and much more expensive ...

Pros: Sharpness, VR, zoom range, price

Cons: Weight, weight, weight, ridiculous custody

Opinion: For the price very good choice, you can not make comparisons with his older brothers, but it remains a very good choice. Fast autofocus, VR very good I took 1/60 to 500 mm and had no problems. Missing tropicalization, we must be more careful. The bag is ridiculous, with a few euro more you could (should) give a decente.rnSul DX format custody becomes a 750 mm, does not even need the '1.4x, but sooner or later I'll try.

Pros: Sharpness, and excellent VR AF, zoom range, robustness, price

Cons: In the long run a bit 'too heavy for handheld shooting, not weather sealed, poor and cumbersome hood, lack of housing (semi) rigid

Opinion: Fully satisfied with the choice made, rather pleasantly surprised by the extraordinary image clarity (perhaps because previously "burned" by 70-300 F4-5.6 I immediately resold), not to mention auto focus and image stabilizer, the first fast and very quiet, the second excellent. Without making unrealistic comparisons with fixed lenses expensive, I would say that the price is fair or even low, whereas the advantages far outweigh the flaws. After all against all listed above count for little if you take home the shot you want;)

Pros: Focal excursion, VR, price around € 1300, proportional bracket, sharpness, AF very silent

Cons: Lightweight loose, weight (after a pound is felt), excessive rotation from 200 to 500mm, unnecessary containment bag, not tropicalized

Opinion: As for the AF I did not have many zoom comparison terms with such a high focal length, but it seemed fairly responsive with limitation at 6m is faster than my 300 f4 d ED multiplied by 1.7X and it's almost silent It does not feel working, VR works very well, and the sharpness is good compared to 300 f4 smooth, the bracket is comfortable and well proportioned, the hood is weak and plasticous, the weight despite being well balanced after a while it feels It's definitely best to use it with a mono foot or stand, wrist rotation from 200 mm to 500 is excessive, I would have liked to have all the excursion in a quarter of a lap, it is not tropicalized which means that sooner or later you will It will fill up with dust, do not have the attachment for the shipping straps and the supplied bag is useless they could make a semi-rigid case as per the 300th. All in all for the price they did a good job you can not claimTo compare it with 5-6000 lenses. In conclusion it is a good lens that is worth what costs and more than what it costs ..

Pros: AF and VR across. Weighs practically nothing. Really affordable cost.

Cons: The building is not like the big brothers and I would also like to see, it costs 1250 € ... Hood too plasticky.

Opinion: I tried them all in oasis. Tamron, Sigma Sport and my Sigma 120-300 2.8 sports and Nikon 300 f4. It outclasses them all for speed stabilization (that is miraculous) and sharpness. (The 120-300 is a hair above for definition but only for that). The weight for me used to almost 4 Kg of the Sigma is ridiculous, I can take it in hand all day without getting tired. Moles are obvious, is not weather sealed, the construction is not sublime and the ridiculous hood. However it offers a lot and is worth every penny.

Pros: sharpness, solid and well-built, fixed aperture f 5.6

Cons: The weight (2.5 kg). They could put a solid cover to transport instead they put only the soft pouch black

Opinion: I think it's a cross between the classic and sports sigma 150-600 150-600 Tamron and Sigma contemporary 150-600. The lens weighs 2.5 kg and is to be used on the stand, freehand feels the weight. You immediately feel its solidity and firmness, mounted on the stand wobbles is not well established. The photos are crisp and clear, about 5.6 fixed aperture to f. I tried to use it with the TC 1.4 and the results are good.
