Pros: Autofocus, sharpness, value for money, silence and lightness

Cons: Many chromatic aberrations (I think solvable with paraluce), paraluce not included

Opinion: Just sold, after owning it for two years. I can certainly only speak ly of this objective. Of course, the focal excursion offered is reduced and very limiting, but it can turn into positive in terms of weight and above all in situations in which the subject is very close. Very well autofocus, fast and very quiet practically always, perhaps encounters some difficulties when the subjects are distant and very small in the crosshairs, but this also depends very much on the body of the machine. In essence, a very good goal, if we also consider the value for money. The photos it returns, in terms of colors and colors, are very good in favorable and very beautiful light quality, while disfiguring a little in the quality of light did not excel; nothing so terrible anyway. The lack of VR on/off switches can also suggest a negative point, but to tell you the truth I never revealed anything negative even when I was on tripod and vr was always on. The real counter to this objective is chromatic aberrations, which are many and sometimes even destructive. I think, however, that with the purchase of the lampshed, if not all of them can be reduced, a good part, but I cannot say precisely because I have never bought the lampshed. For good clarity I recommend going to f/8, or at least f/7.1, at least on occasions that allow it. Finally, I can only highly recommend it to those who want to start taking nature/wildlife photos, certainly a lens with many pros and very few cons.

Pros: Autofocus, weight, price

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: Fantastic goal, bought at 150 euros to learn how to take sports/bird photos, I think there is nothing better to train with a canvas! It's a little dark, but it's not a drama. With the D5600 you do not exceed the kg, and therefore in the mountains it is very comfortable, the autofocus is lightning fast compared to the AF-S (as well as the other AF-P), and the stabilizer works well (if you have a steady hand you start even at 1/20 to 300mm, or at least as far as I've come). It is sharp at almost all focal points (it perhaps loses a little in terms of sharpness above 270mm in special light conditions). It has a white plastic cap and does not have a lampshade, but with another 15 euros it resolves! Maybe a little uncomfortable not to have the keys to turn on/off AF and VR, but I turn them off only when I use the tripod, so very little. The only problem is that VR is not deactivated on slightly older bodies.

Pros: Weight, sharpness, color rendering, fast focus, price.

Cons: I add after five months of use that has entered powder ! )

Opinion: The quality of the lenses is really exceptional for the cheap canvas segment ! It is obviously a bit dark but depends on the iso seal of the machine body. The rendering of colors and colors compared to more expensive optics is phenomenal. The focus is quiet and fast. The vr does its job well. I am very satisfied with the purchase!

Pros: Price, sharpening of images, quick and quiet autofocus.

Cons: I didn't find any technical faults. Unfortunately it is sold without a case and without a lampshade.

Opinion: Great for sports photos. He doesn't miss a beat. Sharp to all focal points. Autofocus much faster than more expensive, refined and ephaly optical optics. I used it to shoot at the Tuscan Rewind rally in Val d'Orcia with amazing results. Lately I am using it to photograph landscapes with results in my opinion better than the most expensive 16-80 nikkor.

Pros: FAST AF, featherweight, ok stabilizer

Cons: It's not a 300mm as stated, but a 224mm! Color aberrations evident at the focal max.

Opinion: I found that by comparing the Nikkor AF-P DX 70-300 F/4.5-6.3G ED VR with the Tamron SP AF 70-300 F/4-5.6 OF VC USD, there is a significant difference in focal or places both at 300 mm, the Nikkor had a greater angle of field. From additional verphic with measuring tools (theodolites, pickets etc) I could calculate the actual focal. To the astonishment it turned out to be a 230mm (to be exact 224mm !) at the limit of the zoom, but in the EXIF of the photo you read 300mm. In fact, even by zooming in on intermediate values, it proportionally gave results to scale... So it's a 60-230mm target.... The test was performed on the DX D5300 and on the FX D750. Having a "230" mm disguised as 300mm, then f/6.3, seems to me a rip-off!

Pros: All

Cons: Nothing, nothing

Opinion: Unexpectedly sharp at all the focal points (at 300mm I thought I have mediocre photos and instead...), fast, quiet, ultra light, very effective stabilization (I shot at 300mm at 1/15 !), with this lens was love at first click! Defects? Do you really have any flaws? For now not received (to be fussy who has defects are me, as photographer) Ratio quality/price simply unbeatable. When they say that the Nikon brand enjoys "Brand Loyalty" this is the classic example. Today, April 2020, I update my review, after a nice period of use: Only relevant flaw: the white plastic cap covering the bayonet! removing it and putting it back often scratches (the cap) internally, wearing free of the microscopic particles that go to dirty the sensor (at every lens change I was with the dirty sensor!) I solved it by changing it with the LF-4 cap. I haven't had any problems since. X the rest confirm my excellent initial impressions.

Pros: Cost, autofocus, stabilization, sharpness

Cons: Plastic bayonet

Opinion: Taken back to a super offer, 130euro, I thought I'd find myself a classic "tappabuchi" kit lens. It actually offers so much more! Of course it is slightly dark, especially at 300mm, where it has a minimum opening of f6.3 but otherwise I found no flaws. Just slightly close the diaphragm to find it great in sharpness but the thing that surprised me the most was the autofocus, absolutely silent (like the whole range af-p) and very fast! Another positive note is the stabilizer, which is really effective even in use with low-strength travel trestles. I found myself having to mount a heavy head on a very poor tripod and, because of the wind, there was no way to snap: a constant "micromove" causes slow times. I tried to keep the stabilizer active and managed it very effectively giving me the opportunity to take home the shot! Combined with the d7500 I feel very good, the only real flaw is the plastic bayonet that just does not go down. If you are looking for a generic telephoto lens I can only recommend it. It still remains a telezoom so useless to compare it with fixed, both for quality and openness but everything has a price!

Pros: Cost especially if import, weight, definition, autofocus

Cons: a little dark to the focal max, not fully supported with the d7200, not supplied lampshade, poor quality rear cap (white plastic)

Opinion: Tried today for the first time on nikon d7200, I decided to write with a bang what are my first impressions because they went far beyond me my most rosy expectations. I am not a pro but simply a photography enthusiast and, coming from the 55-300 dx, I noticed clearly the step forward of the optical rendering, especially at the maximum focal point. With the previous zoom the definition waned from 250mm onwards, to the point of limiting myself to the full use of the telephoto lens. With this new version the definition is also excellent at 300mm, especially closing at f8, but also remaining at the maximum opening the results are definitely good. I also like contrast and colors, then the autofocus has improved a lot and the overall feeling is that you have made a clear step forward on all fronts. Although Nikon has not yet (and who knows if it will ever) updated the firmware of the d7200, to disable via autofocus and vr menu, I did not ask myself the problem and I bought it anyway, sure of the fact that I would never give up even one of the two options. In fact with the previous 55-300 dx I had this possibility via comfortable switches on the lens, but I never used it. It is also true that I never needed to use the easel with this lens. I dare not imagine how convenient the version for fx can be since already this is really super. For me promoted with flying colors also for stabilization that seems to be more effective and solves more the problem of micromovement. It is likely that the final yield is due to a winning combination derived from a simpler design, better glass quality and a more effective vr. I want to point out that the tests I did with a third-party lampshade, taken on amazon at a paltry cost, because unfortunately the accessory is not included in the initial equipment and that the main use was aimed at portraits and glimpses of landscapes.

Pros: Surprisingly Sharp, ultra-fast autofocus, effective stabilizer, very light and compact, price

Cons: Construction seemingly not very robust, lens hood not included, AF and VR can be deactivated only by menu

Opinion: Purchased based on the valid online reviews and for its extreme lightness, replacing a Tamron 70-300 VC that never convinced me entirely as optical quality and weighing almost twice as much. When you handle it, the construction is very "plasticose", which certainly does not give a feeling of great robustness but at the same time makes the lens really very light and compact to be a tele 70-300. Other faults are the absence of the lens hood (to be purchased apart, with a few euros are compatible lens hoods that work great), the absence of the classic keys to activate/deactivate the AF and the VR (they are controlled by menus with fully compatible bodies), the Compatibility of these new AF-P lenses only with some newer bodies. On the Nikon D7200 (with which the compatibility is partial, that is, you can use only autofocus and Col VR always active) The lens shows a very fast autofocus, very quiet and precise, a really effective stabilizer, the optical quality really Surprising for a lens of this level: it is very sharp already at the maximum aperture, even on the higher focal lengths (indeed, my specimen makes it better at 200-300mm than at 70mm at full aperture). If You do not need extreme sturdiness this DX version has an exceptional price/quality ratio, which thanks to only 415 g of weight make it a very comfortable tele to carry.

Pros: Warm colors, great AF, outrageous price

Cons: Excessive featherweight (if you really want to find one at this price)

Opinion: Being a newcomer, I will make a description not too detailed as I could not afford it. Give it to my wife (through subliminal messages inflicted), and the best quality lens I have (right now). I like colors, hotter than the Sigma 17-70 C that I own. The data is dark, but a tele is used for outdoor use, events, sports, and as far as I'm concerned it satisfies me. I find it already sharp enough to 7.1 and its maximum and a F10 to average focale.ma anyway at f8 I find it very good at all focal. The AF is never wrong, accurate and very fast, the effective VR, as far as I am concerned I noticed 2-3 stop advantage. and a lens ' zero wastes, has no selectors, the MAF however it handles well and the ring and soft the right. There is not even that VR that should be deselected in the menu (on my d5500 all compatible but eye to older models) of course is a plastic barrel , and excessively light, more weight at these focal gave more stabilita...ma what you want con140 import? My purely performance rating and 8.5, but taking into account that it costs nothing, 10! If you are a novice like me, it will be a great playmate. P.S. the lens hood is not included

Pros: Good sharpness also TA, light, fast autofocus, VR very effective, recovers a bit ' low brightness, value for money if purchased with criterion

Cons: Construction Plasticose Plastic Attack No scale distances, not very bright species at 300 mm, lens hood not supplied

Opinion: It is certainly not the best tele that there is but on DX in that focal range (70-300) I think is the best quality price, in good light conditions the images are very sharp, better in the middle lengths but also to 300 remains very good even TA , a very good purchase, saw the price found on e-Bay €139 I recommend it to get your bones with a tele rated 9

Pros: Maneuverability, focal length, clearness

Cons: At the moment no one

Opinion: Taken x light outputs, it proved a very good lens, very fluid the ring nut, and at the moment I do not see it dark, fast focusing, with what it costs, is a very good lens, having sold the 70/300 nikonf 4.5.6, I felt the need for a tele , and X does not go heavy, I discovered this new Nikon, tried and immediately in love, light you do not feel the weight and it is a great thing, especially if you get out in the mountain trails

Pros: Light, crisp and the price is right.

Cons: the hood was not included in the purchase.

Opinion: I purchased the Nikon AF-P DX 70-300mmf / 4.5-6.3G ED VR for "everyday" use. It is a lens that is comfortably in the bike handlebar during my laps. Also I can put the binoculars (birdwatching). I am personally happy with this lens and I do not think I would say a heresy in asserting that my shot titled "Voila" demonstrates it. To recommend? Yup.

Pros: lightweight and compact, AF fast enough and precise, brightness, stabilization, good color rendering, good bokeh, cost

Cons: it is not a top of the range and has the opposite of the zoom lens compared to the fixed focal point, VR can not be manually deactivated by the lens but only by body menu

Opinion: I just recently purchased this Nikon lens for use with my DSLR D3300, thanks to an interesting cashback promotion for 100 years of Nikon, I could buy it at a fairly low price. In the meantime, it was also recently released on the market the updated version of the same, the brightest (and costly) f / 4.5-5.6E ED VR.rnEro looking for a medium-tile, to be complemented by the other goals in my kit; initially I went for a fixed focus, but reading the good reviews of this zoom I was convinced of the purchase.rnThe experience is a few months, but so far very positive. The photos are sharp and accurate even at the maximum focal point and free hand (the VR helps a lot and works well, even if it can not be manually deactivated by the lens but only by the menu function on the body). The brightness is discrete, pleasing the blur effect you get. Also used for macro photography (although not specifically a macro lens) behaves very well, body lightness helps a lot in the manovrability, even dimensions are contained.rnThe portrait, in the focal lengths from 70 to 100, makes it very good, both in color shades and sharpness. Overall, therefore, even if not the top of the range, regarding the cost / quality ratio I consider it's a great goal, a purchase I would recommend.
