Pros: Image Quality, Stabilizer, Aesthetics, Built-in ND Filter

Cons: price

Opinion: I was in love with the V version, but the speculation that took place never allowed me to have one. The VI is the first of the X100 series made in China... Beautiful car, without a shadow of a doubt... finishes in line with Chinese production... some ring and button not really well finished... They clearly wanted to maximize profits, while significantly lowering production costs... It doesn't give me a sense of solidity like an X-Pro2, but it is. Let's get to the photographic aspect.... it's the first time I've tried the 40Mpx sensor. I find it very good, a remarkable performance and all in all even at ISO level it does very well. The X100VI allows cropping directly during shooting, producing 10 or 20 Mpx images, a convenient option, although obviously feasible in post-production. It's a kind of digital zoom. The lens is the excellent 23 f2 already known from the previous model. It has an excellent rendering, a very nice blur, a minimum focusing distance that allows valid close-ups. It has a built-in 4 stop ND filter (physical filter and not digital), very very comfortable, I loved it. The controls are more or less in the usual Fuji positions. The play of the images is on the right, in the most comfortable position. I think it's a very good machine (even from a video point of view it should but I've never tried it in this sense). Perhaps the resolution is over-the-top for the type of use it's most suited to, but storage issues aside, more pixels are certainly handy to have. The viewfinder is gorgeous... Having used the X-Pro2 in the past, I really appreciate hybrid sights. The digital part has a very good rendering. It features, like the pro2, the digital side viewfinder that overlaps the optics, and allows you to check the focus. It has the frame that displays the parallax error, like the pro series. Ultimately, if it cost a few €100 less it would be an unmissable machine. My real doubt is about the need for 40Mpx on such a machine, but the performance is still exciting, without a doubt, as well as the stabilizer, effective.

Pros: Autofocus, shutter silence, perhaps too quiet, incredibly sharp images for the camera, stabilization, flash and fixed lens

Cons: It's big for compact, the aperture ring is uncomfortable, the ISO ring is useless because you have to take your eye off the viewfinder (but it's so analogue). I won't say the price because I'd be self-defeating. And fixed optics.

Opinion: I did it. I traded in my two-year-old X-E4, with various lenses, and bought the 100VI. I haven't done much in these two days. I can give you first impressions more about handling and functionality. Given that I made a trade-in on par (thanks RCE Foto Lainate) with X-E4 and three lenses, the price aspect did not weigh on me, it is high but holding the camera in your hand is satisfying. Isn't fixed optics a problem with 40.2 megapixels? The artifice of the digital zoom that reduces the resolution is childish but it is aimed at the main purpose of this machine: to produce ready-to-use jpeg files that are practically perfect, to be kept and, above all, to be shared socially.... The problem for me is above all the wide-angle since even with the Sony a7 I always use a Zeiss 16-35. The crop, on the contrary, is not there. I immediately ordered the WCL-X100S II converter which gives an FF equivalent focal length of 28mm. Hopefully. However, the price increases by another 300 euros, the weight increases and the size increases. After two years of using the X-E4 I didn't find any problems in the menu and controls. The top ISO ring is honestly superfluous, especially because you have to take your eye off to use it. Once the locking ring is raised, it spins without jerks. The Bluetooth button at hand is convenient and the position of the Q key is useful, when I get used to it. The optical viewfinder is very useful (I got the X100VI for that too) for shutter speed. The autofocus, with option C, is just as useful so you don't miss a shot when you need to shoot certain expressions or movements. With the X-E4 (and with Voigtlander) I used manual focus and I lost more than a few shots. The main differences with the X-E4 are weight and size. The X-E4 with the Voigtlander 27, but also the 27 kit really fits in the jacket pocket. For the X100VI you need the bag, small but you need it. I can't tell if it's a professional camera: I'm not a professional photographer. I shoot for work in buildings or construction sites and I use the Sony FF for magnifications. But when I'm wandering around, changing lenses is a big hassle. Here's why.

Pros: Shooting experience, stabilizer, nd filter in the camera, 35mm equivalent with the possibility of making it become a 28mm, ergonomics, appearance, customization

Cons: Maybe the price, but if you see the real competitors, they don't give you anything extra and cost a lot more.

Opinion: I state that I have a GFX50SII, I had XT4 and Xpro3. The shooting experience alone is worth the expense... I'm someone who shoots just for fun and passion, but carrying the weight and bulk of the GFX with me is often a problem. You get attached to this little one from the first outing, I immediately combined it with the WCL X100 II adapter to have a 28mm because I "see" only at 24 and 85mm. Among my photos you can see that I used it for all fields... landscape, portrait, etc. You just enjoy walking around with her around your neck. To avoid curious glances I covered the top and back (where the two buttons are) with matte black tape and it is even more beautiful. After 20 years of photography with cameras that never lasted more than 3 years, I think I've found the ultimate one! I don't sell the GFX just because it's from another planet... If I have to do something more complex I use her... Otherwise, the little girl is always with me!

Pros: Compact, 40 MPX, Film Profiles, Double Exposures in Direct Recording with Choice of Lens, Three "Optics in One"

Cons: Total construction is poor compared to the X100F, few accessories, small buttons, 72dpi image resolution.

Opinion: I state that I have been keeping it for 2 months, I took it for various reasons: 1) it is small and light 2) it is an all-rounder, that is, although it has a 40 MPX sensor I can "zom" in 50mm and 70mm, cropping of course. 3) The possibility of choosing multiple exposures live, i.e. I take a photo and choose whether to go ahead or stop is a very advantageous option. 4) the film profiles, even Nikon has several but I wanted to try with my own hands these Fuji and I must say that in Jpeg you can hear them. 5) there is a lot of room for customization Sore points: the construction as evidenced by the video on Simone's channel That is, the construction is Ceep, I had the opportunity to touch the X100F and the difference can be felt throughout, the previous versions were more solid! this one has the controls a bit Ballerini. the amount at which it is proposed, i.e. 1850€ I would have expected some accessories eg: a 64gb SD, slides to protect it from scratches, the overhead button, or a lens hood etc. In short, things that used to be by default are no longer so! Another note that made me turn up my nose, I open the photo in PS and the resolution is at 72 DPI, compared to a NIKON file which is 300 DPI, but be careful! It shouldn't scare you because the file as it comes out of the cam (obviously with some slight corrections) can be printed at 272.63 cm x 181.75 cm at 40mpx up to a size of 137.16 cm x 91.44 cm with a photo taken at 70mm. As for the weight issue, let's say that as it comes out it is not annoying, but if you have to add the additional grip, the lens hood, the protective lens, the button, it starts to weigh a little. Excellent for the street or rather to "seize the moment", I consider it a very advanced "point and shoot". Other advantages: it is discreet (because the camera body is very similar to the previous ones) it is silent (which is useful if you have to photograph indoors e.g. church), it is not conspicuous. For the battery issue, at the photography fair I bought an additional JUPIO brand battery (never heard of it) but only 1 stand out of 30 had it! And I have to say that for now I've had a good time! for consumption.... I easily get to the end of the day, if I take 1 photo every 10 minutes for 3 hours, then I pause and repeat the cycle. I haven't tested it yet in the Video field because I'm not a videomaker!

Pros: 40M pixels, compact, very good optics, possibly wide-angle and telephoto adapters

Cons: High price, somewhat intricate menu

Opinion: The X100VI is a small Leica, basically, at a much cheaper price and with some more features, especially in the video part. But the autofocus is exceptional, the hybrid viewfinder very useful (moving photo with subject tracking, difficult to do without an optical viewfinder). The stabilization is not great compared to a Sony. To get around with a light and quality semi-professional machine is irreplaceable (without spending an eye with the Q3).
