Pros: Ergonomics, resolution, image definition, high ISO resistance, weight, viewfinder.

Cons: A single slot for SD cards, fully adjustable screen, no bezel, stabilization.

Opinion: First of all I have to thank my friend Talix for lending it to me. I am a Fujifilm user and I have to say that this excellent Canon RP amazed me with my way of photographing and being..... That is, a simple amateur photographer. It's a FF and at the price you can find today, especially on second-hand for those who want to start with a Canon FF, this is FINE. The grip for me, who has big hands, is great. It's light and stays that way with the 35mm. I like to photograph with the viewfinder and in fact I often keep the screen closed. I'm not saying it's bad, on the contrary, but I much prefer the one of my X-T3. I don't make videos so I can't write anything or invent criticisms or merits. Very good image quality. Rated 9.

Pros: Small, handy, great sensor, autofocus, fullframe

Cons: Different battery than R6, no dual slots, viewfinder

Opinion: I've had it for more than a year. I take pictures, videos, holidays. It's good for everything and I've never found any real limits. It's small, lightweight, and truly portable! With a 16 and 50mm, you don't even feel it on the road. Too bad for the single slot (I made weddings both photos and videos and I never had problems), battery not like my R6 (which would have been a convenience) and keys not customizable like the R6. Really high vote to this little house Canon!

Pros: Best buy Canon FF 2022-3

Cons: See here: https://www.juzaphoto.com/topic2.php?l=it&t=4457373

Opinion: It's been two years since I bought the Canon RP. Here https://www.juzaphoto.com/topic2.php?l=it&t=4457373 the last of the 6 discussions about it. You will find everything more. I mention what struck me most: it is a compact, with all the consequent pros and cons. I am enthusiastic, combined with the RF50mm and RF16mm is ready for anything with minimum bulk and weight. The best for those wishing to approach the mirrorless world Canon FF with minimal expense.

Pros: Low weight, autofocus, articulated touchscreen, button customization, price

Cons: Maybe not really ergonomic if you have big hands or using gloves, sensor practically uncovered, only 1/4000"

Opinion: I come from 7 years of Canon 6D, I switched to mirrorless just for the merits that I listed and that I was looking for in the Eos RP. I state that at first glance it seems a bit traumatic the passage, the camera is really small and it seems to lack the controls, but once customized and "sewn" around your hands and needs, it is really the perfect camera. The fully articulated touch screen is a real must that I would not do without, allowing poses that with the 6D I avoided for inconvenience, touchscreen and fast autofocus are then that gem that will make you love this machine from the first exit. Many complain about the battery life, I took it to Lofoten in winter and the autonomy seemed acceptable to me, I had also brought with me 4 spare alternative batteries but I never used them, because I charged as soon as I could the original one in the room with the 25w power supply of my smartphone. Using it with the 24-105 RF actually seems quite unbalanced, with the Samyang 14 and adapter it goes a little better, but the surprise lies in using it with 35 RF1.8, where it shows all its quality and creativity in only 800 grams. The burst is not very fast, but those who choose the RP certainly have no pretensions to do photographic hunting or sports activities, there are other more specialized products, however the autofocus tracking on the eye gives a fundamental help not to make this little one a machine for static subjects only. If I really have to find a fault, I found it very uncomfortable using it with gloves, as with the thumb I found myself pressing a little random keys unintentionally, but it is the normal consequence if you are looking for compactness and portability. Another flaw but not very important, the raw files are in cr3 format not readable by lightroom, you must first transform them into dng with a converter, which involves in post production an extra step, but nothing dramatic. Thinking instead of a speech of care and maintenance, they could at least make sure that the sensor remained covered by the curtain as in the eos R, I trusted in a firmware update but I think it will be hard to receive this upgrade, then shutter speed "only" 1/4000, but even in this case, I think they are all choices to differentiate well the commercial choice of the various products. For now I am very happy, she will be my faithful companion of adventures.

Pros: All

Cons: C log absent

Opinion: I shot with various cameras: Sony, Fuji etc. and there is no ideal camera. Every current camera has strengths and weaknesses. This camera is perfect and is the most "sensible" choice for amateurs and pros who only take street-portraits. I only use fixed RF lenses and the weight is equivalent to that of a compact. It is a pleasure to carry it everywhere and take pictures. The quality is undisputed, the full frame sensor compared to that of Fuji is better in depth of field but it is not a portent at very high iso. RP is an honest machine, at a bargain price with an immense optical park (rf-ef). With fixed RF lenses that are relatively cheap the quality is very high, the colors are also good. The colors without any modification are neutral and do not regret the colors of Fuji. It is the obvious choice for those who only take photos (certain genres) and are not a video-maker.
