Pros: AF, Higher ISO, ergonomics and handling, files,

Cons: Weight (though balances well with larger lenses ), noisy shutter,

Opinion: I use this in conjunction with 2 other DSLRs (5D mk4 and 90D) so not my main camera. I owned another 1D mk4 5 years ago but sold it as I wanted more flexibility purchasing full frame and APSC bodies. I bought a 1d mk3 prior to this but this is better in every respect. The price of these cameras now is ridiculously low, so I indulged myself and paid £300 for a good condition 170,000 shutter count from dealer with 6 month warranty. What a bargain.. I cant believe these came out in 2009. The 1D mk4 is a joy to use everything just works very well, AF is fast and always accurate (unlike my 90D) delivering very clean files at higher ISOs (again unlike my 90D). It oozes quality, the build, the weight which I don't mind, the way everything is in the right place remind you this was a top of the range £4000 work horse at one time. You just know this will go on producing the goods for years to come. It feels churlish to mention any negatives.. But it hasn't got spot focusing unless you use specific lenses, No exposure compensation with auto ISO when in manual. 16mps so try to fill the frame rather than drastic cropping. I can see myself using this for a long time. Thoroughly recommended as a second camera but any paid work and I would use my 5D mk4.

Pros: PRO, PRO, PRO. Construction, reliability and image quality.

Cons: For those like me who only take pictures and love the optical viewfinder, no one

Opinion: What to say about this 1D MK IV that has not been said without repeating itself, perhaps that even after more than 10 years since it was declared out of production, it still manages to be current and performing. Without making poetry, I can only say that he has everything he needs to make exceptional photos. After 5d mk III and IV, it completes the triad of SLR camera bodies that I wanted for a long time and now that it is in my possession I must say that it goes beyond my personal expectations. Purchased less than a medium / high level bridge with only 65k shots and without obvious signs of wear, it is certainly to be preferred to many current proposals on the market. To those who think it is heavy I just say that a 5d series with its bg weighs as much as. Pure pleasure, try it to believe it.

Pros: Pro body, burst, crop factor, battery life, charm.

Cons: Weight, a bit of noise (both on the image and on the shot!), resolution only discreet.

Opinion: Among my camera bodies there is also a Canon 1D Mark IV. A piece of history of Japan as well as of the red and white house: the last model produced with that particular sensor format, "APS-H" (1.3x), in which only Canon had believed to the end, loved and hated, but which had some very interesting technical aspects, such as a slimmer mirror mechanic capable of downloading incredible bursts of 10 frames per second already in 2009. I use it little, so much so that it is in excellent condition and does not count over 50,000 shots, nothing for a flagship body ... so little as to push me to think of giving it to someone who could exploit it more than me ... So I'm going to take it back, maybe to see if the battery is charged or who knows... And every time, punctually, when I hold it, hand and camera body almost fit together, enter into an indissoluble and irresistible symbiosis, instantly transmitting that feeling of indestructibility, promptness and agility of use that only a perfectly balanced and designed body can give, as if in an instant it wanted to entice you to be used. And so it ends up that I promptly change my mind: I put it back in its corner ... waiting for the next opportunity when he can show off all his value. Goodnight monster!

Pros: AF, solidity, quality = A Lady Reflex

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: A Reflex the 1D Mark IV a tank that offers indescribable quality, precision speed. The sound that makes the mirror when shooting is a musical symphony. Otherwise you take it in your hands you have the feeling of robustness and reliability. The photos he unsheasses are unique. Smooth and easy photo processing. I think that the noise if handled properly is equivalent to the old and beloved grain of the films. I own both the 1DS MIII, the 1d MIII, the 5d Mark I and the 5D Mark II. They are all reflexes that can say and still give a lot. With the 1D Mark IV and its 16mpx they are more than enough for +A3 prints. Think of the burst 10 FPS and ISO from 50 to 102400 practically a spectacle. I apologize if I'm a bit romantic but I started back in 1989 with a Canon EF of 1972 and then alongside the legendary F-1 of 1976. I spent whole nights in the darkroom. When everyone went digital, I was still working in analog. Then one day I experimented with digital with an Eos 400d and from there I stopped at the 1 series alongside the 5D series with the L series optics. For the display is not a problem I'm used to not seeing the result immediately after the shot waiting to be in the process of processing. I would be very happy to find other users who shoot with a series 1 like those mentioned to exchange opinions curiosity etc. I thank you for your patience and attention a warm greeting to all readers. I had forgotten that the wireless file transmitter wft-e2 accessory very convenient for photos in the studio or to download photos to the PC.

Pros: Shutter speed, ISO, Battery. I took it by chance and it goes that it is a wonder. Very well kept. I had to help myself a bit for the settings (C-FN)

Cons: Weight, but with the 100-400 L I find it balanced.

Opinion: After the defeat of the 90D, which unfortunately disappointed me the repair / replacement, with the same defects. I bought this 1D MK IV with only 24000 shots. Reading a little here and there, I had a great time. I still haven't discovered all the impstations, which are really many. If someone can give me a hand gladly. I thank Juzaphoto and all those who have reviewed in the forum this Canon
