Pros: Handle, controls, EVF viewfinder, battery, image quality.

Cons: Video a little underlie, only enough display, plastic nozzle, Mount attack.

Opinion: It's the machine I started with, replaced by a6000. Of this machine I regret essentially the erognomy and the grip, firm and solid, of another level compared to that of the small a6000. However compared to this, the A58 has the poor video compartment (which in 30fps with at quite slow) usually Sony always does a good job from this point of view. Always great instead the quality of image and the RAW you can work really well. The electronic viewfinder is the plus that the diatingue from the classic reflex, or you love it or you hate it. Plastic nozzle never gave me problems, however it is more of a psychological limit to have it. The real problem that has led me to replace it with the a6000 is the unfortunate destiny that is having the attack on Mount, which gives little confidence to invest in quality lenses for this body.

sony_a6000Sony A6000

Pros: Image and video quality, good ISO hold, excellent face tracking in AF-C

Cons: Handle, little shutter key ' decided ', too small, uncomfortable grip, screen just enough upper ring a bit hard (this point is very personal).

Opinion: I come from the Sony A58, of which I am essentially regretdoing ergonomics. The a6000 is too small and square for those who have big hands, the grip is not very strong. And it's a pity because the photographic side has nothing to fear: excellent quality of RAW, with good goals produces an incredible detail. Excellent dynamic range. The tilting screen I prefer it to the articulated one: in this way it is always in axis with the user, however the resolution is just enough and the aspect ratio is 16/9, then the lateral black bands always present. The upper ring I find it personally a bit ' hard, I prefer to use the front wheel. The shutter button does not transmit safety and solidity. I do a few videos but for what little I saw: AF in very fast video and excellent video quality. The 16-50 kit is honest, very 16 vignette but it is small and you still manage to get great photos with it. However I find it a great machine, despite the many faults compensates with the auto focus and the great image quality.
