Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM Pros: Versatility, sharpness, vividness. Cons: Weight and vignetting at 24 mm. Opinion: I have this lens since the time of film, after thousands of shots has become almost an extension of my eye. She has her age but she does her duty in full and I have very few criticisms to make. Sure at 24mm vignette, all right, but you can fix it in post I closing the aperture one or two stops. I could only deprive myself for the 24mm USM II. See. I'm keeping it tight for now. sent on March 15, 2019 |
Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro Pros: Exceptional image quality and solid construction. Cons: It should be used with knowledge of the cause for photos thought, since it is not easy, at least at the beginning, to be managed. Opinion: I have this lens for some years and I find it superlative for enlargements over the 1: 1 ratio. Certainly it takes a solid tripod and a suitable light source, like an annular flash. Useful and sometimes essential the micrometric slide. Personally I photograph only inanimate subjects and therefore I do not have big difficulty focusing even if it takes a lot of attention and patience with every shot. I'm not good with the focus stacking but I do not think that for the photos I do is essential. I am content to say, given that with this lens at every shot I open fantastic and often unexpected scenarios. Who loves the macro push, of any kind and decides to allow himself time to capture the desired image, can not not own this masterpiece. sent on January 31, 2018 |
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM Pros: Sharpness, stabilization, versatility, waterproofing, low weight and photographic rendering at the top of the category. Cons: Nothing Opinion: I have this lens for some years and I can say that I have never betrayed you. I use it mostly in the macro, where it is a bomb, but I know of many who work it as a lens for portraits and are more than satisfied with it. What a surprise I will always keep with me: take it all but not my Canon 100 IS macro !!! sent on November 05, 2017 |
Manfrotto 190 X PROB Pros: Not too heavy. Solid. Tilting column at right angles. Cons: Too short. Opinion: I bought new a few years ago with joint ball head 496 RC2 and original case. He has never given me problems. The only drawback height. Working in macro is very useful reclining column. Only very recently I have joined to a more robust, but also very heavy and cumbersome Manfrotto 055 WNB, found at an excellent price used. For those who want to travel light and owns an equipment weight content is the ideal tripod. sent on January 04, 2017 |
Manfrotto 410 Pros: Stability, precision and ease of use. Cons: Maybe the weight. Opinion: Bought before Christmas on Amazon. I tried it both in exterior and interior applications for landscapes and macro shots. I must say that in combination with the tripod Manfrotto 055 WNB forms a whole granite and very functional. For fans of macro photography, like myself, it is a real boon. Definitely worth every penny. sent on January 01, 2017 |
