nikon_d70Nikon D70

Pros: in 2021? everything, price, components and quality

Cons: I would say ISOs and small screen, but he's 17 years old, what do you want?

Opinion: Q: Hi I would like to learn to photograph what you recommend? - A: Buy a D70 - D: Yes but I saw that it is old, blah blah blah, there is this model new blah blah blah blah - R: BUY AN OLD D70 !! This is more or less a standard discussion that many of us have with a neophyte who wants to enter the world of photography, and not knowing it rightly, is more inclined towards novelty than accepting some suggestions and starting with something old, but which to date is still valid. I started like this myself, with a photographer friend who gave me a lot of head to buy it. It was a great advice and the first great love never forgets. Internal motor, double knobs, simple menu and everything you need to be able to start taking your first steps in the world of photography without spending an eye of the head. 6 megapixels that pulled out beautiful Raw to work with, along with an old 50mm 1.8, I think I took some of the most beautiful shots of my years as a photographer. In the snow, in the sand, in the rain and even underwater it never gave me a problem, and its battery lasted much longer than that of my modern mirrorless. Those who start naturally will disdain the big body, the compact flash, the small screen and the high iso noise, but to date for the price at which it is located (under 100€), personally only its merits remain. If you're a newb and want to learn photography... buy a D70.
