olympus_m45Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 45mm f/1.8

Pros: The classic medium-telephoto light from portrait, with all the features it must have (sharpness, blur, colors, disconnection of the planes), but with in addition a value for money and a build quality compared to the excellent size.

Cons: Not excelling focus on EM10 II (according to my personal experience)

Opinion: I have a particular relationship with this lens, because its existence was the main reason why I switched to micro 4/3, coming from Fuji X, where for a medium-telephoto portrait bright and quality, I would have to shell out a few hundred euros more... At the beginning I was very disappointed, because on Olympus EM10 II, (using it mainly for spontaneous portraits not laid down), I thought it had a too soft rendition; So I sold it and passing through 25 1.8 (beautiful) and 75 1.8 (wonderful), I resumed to rationalize a bit ' the outfit, having passed to EM1 (Mark I) and wanting to invest more on other focal. As a little ' I suspected, the yield a little ' soft on EM10 II was due to the difficulty of the machine to focus perfectly with subjects in light movement and my photos were simply not perfectly in focus. On a more performing body like the em1, I could finally appreciate the spectacular rendition of this small and wonderful lens. It is not lightning in the focus as the 75 1.8, the blur and sharpness are a bit ' lower, but not enough to not be able to enjoy the optical quality however remarkable. For my needs is already at the top and the focal is the one I prefer for the portrait.

samyang_7-5_fisheyeSamyang 7.5mm f/3.5 UMC Fisheye MFT

Pros: Small, sturdy, sharp, bright enough, very wide framed field and excellent value for money.

Cons: It could have been a brighter wire, if its not F2 at least f2.8 but maybe it would have been bigger and expensive.

Opinion: It's my first fisheye, I've never liked the round distortion and I've always preferred the ultra-wide linear lens, but I wanted to try this samyang and it amazed me positively. It is sufficiently sharp and bright, with a very solid construction, it has an integrated petal hood and is pleasantly held in hand. The wide framed field sometimes makes it difficult to shoot freehand, without including your foot or hand of support in the frame. While being accustomed to a hyper-visual world, this is a focal enough unusual to transform the surrounding landscape: once mounted on the camera it is difficult to remove the eye from the electronic viewfinder and you would like to photograph everything. With a minimum of moderation and avoiding excessive distortions, you make beautiful photos, especially, for my personal opinion, when you want to emphasize the perspective with circular shapes. Better for architecture and street with an extreme view than for photos of natural landscapes, which tends to crush, decreasing the sensation of space extended, because of the lateral lines that converge towards the center; I know that this is a characteristic of the fisheye, not of this lens in particular and perhaps it is also just my personal perception, but for this reason I prefer the linear wide angle. I recommend however to all micro-four-contractors to try it out for the unbeatable value for money, especially in the used (being a lens without electrical contacts is virtually a higlander and therefore does not devalue). I recommend it especially to those who already have a pro zoom like the Oly 12-40 or the Pana 12-35 and would like a shorter focal to broaden the look without having to invest much. For me it's worth a 9.

olympus_m60_macroOlympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro

Pros: Sharpness to the top, zeiss colors, backlight, great value for money, light weight and small dimensions, construction

Cons: no one, if we just want the speed of focus is not lightning, but it is still a macro lens 1: 1

Opinion: Much more than a macro objective, light and small but well-built; does not stretch during macro shooting, everything moves internally and lets you choose the focus range (macro 1: 1 for maximum magnification by approaching and removing the lens from 19 to 40 cm to compose the macro, from 19 cm to infinity for non-macro close-ups and 40 cm to infinity for portraits and everything else.) It is also great as a portrait lens. I definitely like the Olympus 45 1.8, which is too soft for me opening and even 2.8 to 60 is clearly better.rn To disconnect the background you need to approach the subject or choose farther backgrounds but as rendering and colors is extraordinary, reminds me of the contax 135 2.8.rn Its sharpness for macro me not is excessive for the portrait and compensates for the lower resolution of the 4/3 sensor than the larger ones (aps-c or full frame), it is also the first micro 4/3 lens I feel that in the back light suffers little to flare emthere is a bit of contrast and sharpness.rnThe focusing speed is not a big deal, but considering that it would be a specialist for the macro, it's a very forgiving defect. rn a 10, at the moment it's my micro 4 / 3.rn (The hood could actually put it in the package, but all in the bay if they are not original, screwed or not, from 10 to 20 euros.) rn

samyang_12_f2ncsSamyang 12mm f/2.0 NCS CS

Pros: Excellent sharpness, vivid colors, brightness, solid construction, value for money, including lens hood, convenient and precise focus ring, "snapping" diaphragm ring

Cons: It suffers a bit of flare in backlight, especially in open diaphragms, good contrast only to more closed diaphragms

Opinion: I had this lens on Fuji aps-c, with the xt10 and now that I went to micro 4/3, with the Olympus em10 mark ii.rnSu fuji was an exceptional 18 f2, (equivalent to full frame), on 4 / 3 corresponds to a 24 f2.rnI repacked because it has an extraordinary price ratio, it is solid, all metal, small enough, it is very sharp, it makes colors good, has a f2 opening and is convenient to use for Focus and diaphragm rings, precise and comfortable to maneuver.rnThe diaphragm loops well, with a different feeling when it closes 1/3 of stop since it closes one stop at a time and this allows you to use it Without having to look at what opening you're taking, just counting the most decided shots. "The fuji aps-c is really large, although it suffers a lot of flare and the pictures at f2 and f2.8 are a little soft; You need to close at 5.6 to get a good contrast and minimize the flare.rnSu 4/3, using the most centrLens, (it changes only the attachment), is much sharper and contrasted to full aperture and this makes it interesting also for portraits or shooting in the foreground with the blurry background. It gives the best at 5.6, where, among other things, everything is in focus from about 1 meter to infinity (the depth of field equates to full frame f11). On the other hand, it is much less extensive, but not particularly fond of images that "exaggerate" the proportion between the foreground and the rest of the frame, I use it much more than fuji.rn it would be great to have a samyang 10 f2.8 dedicated to Micro 4/3, so smaller, costing like this, with the same performance but slightly wider.rn they would buy in so many!
