Got the canon 500mm II Supertele, sell the 100-400l? in Discussion Forum May 04, 2013, 12:08 Dear All,
I bought the
500mm f/4 L IS II USM lens and am using it with a 7D and I am liking it a lot. I have the 70-200 f/4 IS and 100-400 L. Should I sell the
100-400 and get a 70-200 f/2.8 II instead and use it with converters? (in situations where I wont carry the 500mm). The new 100-400 II is rumored, another reason why I am thinking of selling my existing 100-400.
I want to get a second body, should I get the 5D3 for nature and wildlife/birds?

Canon 300 2.8 II Vs 500 f/4 II? Which to get? in Discussion Forum July 12, 2012, 9:10 Hi All,
I have the 7D and the following lenses:
70-200 f/4 L IS USM
100-400 L IS USM
100 mm 2.8 Macro L Lens
I am planning to get either the 300 2.8 or the 500 f/4 II. I am a serious hobbyist and my main interest is birding and wildlife.
Is the 300 + TCs 1.4 and 2 X comparable to the performance of the 500 + 1.4 X? I know the 500 is more expensive, but the 300 has the advantage of weight in its favor.
Tough choice........
