Canon RF 600mm f/11 IS STM Pros: Lightness sharpness autofocus Cons: Dark, but you know! Opinion: Coming from a mammoth Sigma 150/600 sport and having also had a Canon 500/f.4 L, 3kg optics. and passes of undoubted quality, I wanted to try out of curiosity this lens that weighs less than 1 Kg. since I often go on foot on an excursion and apart from that it is a dark optics, but you know it has an autofocus speed on par if not higher than my former optics not to mention really good sharpness and having it all day in the backpack also seen the weight and bulk when closed is a pleasure. For heaven's sake to use on beautiful sunny days, but also seen the exceptional stabilization with my camera body (R7) you can photograph static animals or birds even at 1/20 of a second freehand (try it to believe it). After this positive test, I am renewing my photographic kit in favor of the RF system. Super happy with the purchase both for optical quality and lightness. sent on October 08, 2023 |
