Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 75mm f/1.8 Pros: Sharpness, bokeh, yield, construction Cons: Cost, paraluce absence, not tropicalized Opinion: It is one of the best lenses for the m43 system. It has a splendid and unique yield with a particularly soft bokeh. It is quite compact and not very visible but very sharp. Keep in mind that even if the construction is solid, the lens is not tropicalized and the package lacks a lampshade and bag. The original metal light screen has a high cost and is quite easy to miss due to the fixing system. The lens is still a gem. sent on May 04, 2021 |
Fujifilm XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR Pros: WR, stabilizer, focal excursion, weight, size, autofocus speed Cons: price, edges at some focal points Opinion: I purchased the 16-80 to use it with XT30 and XT3. It is an ideal lens for travel and for the landscaper because of the range of indoor focals, weight and size. Use 72mm filters, a nice convenience for those who also have the 10-24. The stabilization is great and is also tropicalized unlike the 18-55 I had before. Compared to this it is bigger and heavier but not by much and perfectly balanced on the XT3 while a bit big on the XT30. The weight is well distributed and even on the XT30 the combination is not overly heavy on the front. Compared to the 16-55 it is noticeably lighter and more compact, more than the datasheets suggest, with yield close to this in the center but undoubtedly lower than the edges. The autofocus is quiet, fast and precise. As an optical quality you have to consider that it is a 5x zoom so the weak points are the F4 edges at 16mm and in the range 55-80 mm. Closing at F5.6-F8 improves slightly. Compared to the 18-55 it is a much more comfortable and versatile lens probably penalized by the high price. sent on May 05, 2020 |
