Olympus OM Zuiko 200mm f/4 Pros: Tough, light and compact. Built-in lampshade. Cons: Color aberrations evident in some conditions Opinion: I took the MC version to fit it on 5D classic and I'm satisfied with it. If you get the MAF (I use a chip ring) the lens is sharp already at f.4 (good for portraits) while at f8/11 the yield is great.the 12mp of the old 5D do not put it too much to the whip and the images are enjoyable. Only in high contrast conditions do obvious chromatic aberrations emerge but easily limited in posts. It is not a lens for dynamic scenes or from which to expect a high yield in light conditions not good but that knows how to give satisfaction. Clearly it can't compete with today's cheap zoom lenses, but those who use MF lenses don't look for super sharpness. sent on December 14, 2019 |
