Perché questo titolo? Si sa che il modo migliore di conoscere gli animali è andare a vederli dal vivo, osservare il proprio comportamento, interagire con loro, ma ora vi chiedo, questa non è schiavitù? Okay, molti luoghi ormai sono a "norma" di legge, con spazi in regola e cure continue, ma chi siamo noi per decidere qual'è lo spazio necessario per un animale? Molto spesso vengo a sentire frasi del tipo: "qui si che stan bene gli animali, guarda che belle gabbie!" Come può star bene un leone abituato a terreni di caccia che si stagliano all'orizzonte rinchiuso in una gabbia di qualche metro quadrato? Abituato a cacciare per vivere, ed ora imboccato? Come si può rinchiudere in una voliera dei pappagalli che se si levassero in cielo creerebbero spettacoli più belli dell'arcobaleno? Chi siamo noi per decidere quanto spazio neccessita un animale per vivere,, quando la proria casa è proprio il mondo che gli abbiamo strappato? Non si tratta forse di schiavitù legalizzata?Veri e propri "lager d'istruzione", riempiti da esemplari separati a forza dalle proprie famiglie, da uomini che di umano han solo le sembianze e da anime deportate, con destinazione un cinema vivente di disperazione e grida d'aiuto, che nessuno coglie, scambiandoli per versi? Noi discendiamo dagli animali, eppure con loro non abbiamo più niente in comune, purtroppo.
