![]() | Fujifilm XF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 R LM OIS WR Pros: Weight and footprint. Quiet and fast autofocus. Stabilization. Optical quality and macro capacity. Cons: I have to concentrate: movement of the barrel in strong extension and slight vignetting at the maximum opening. Opinion: Since I took it, I've had a hard time removing it from the body of the machine. It has a magnification power that always amazes me and is fun for its ability to "rummage" everywhere, detaching the subject that interests me from everything else. The macro capacity was a welcome surprise, making it really a handyman despite the pushes: in addition to photographic hunting, macro, certain street, particular portraits, landscape with strong perspectives. It is also surprising that the price is not exaggerated, especially in comparison with the competition. For optical qualities I can say that also thanks to the really effective stabilization (last night I took a freehand photo at night and when I looked at it on the PC I saw that it was practically free from motion despite having been taken at 200 mm. and a tenth of a second - the images are always sharp in relation to their category , without, of course, achieving the definition of fixed assets. I noticed minimal vignetting in T.A., few color fringes and little disturbance from a strong light in the field. Non-perceptible deformations. At f:11 begins the diffraction that makes you avoid more closed diaphragms. Best diaphragms 5.6 and 8 to 70 mm. and 8-11 to 300 mm. A very fun lens and that, despite the focal point, it is quite possible to take with you effortlessly; I don't know how many kits allow this with a 460 mm. Equivalent... sent on March 30, 2021 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-T4 Pros: Silent shutter like a breath. Construction. Stabilization. Aesthetic. Articulated LCD. Everything has already been said about the quality of Fuji files. Cons: Full frame dimensions. There is no sensor protection system by changing the lens. Autofocus is still below the best competition. Opinion: The camera is really nice, probably the most beautiful in the current market offer. Excellent construction materials and waterproofing systems. the menus, despite the increase in functions, have been revised with a logic of (a certain) simplification; they are still the best, along with Canon, among those I know. The "breath" of the (mechanical) shutter is barely perceptible and when other cars are then used it seems to switch from a hybrid car to a diesel. There has been a lot of talk about an alleged inadequacy of grip for the right hand: I believe that between the advantage of a smaller footprint with a leaner line and the disadvantage of unbalance with long objectives, the former must prevail. The number of functions contained in this model is really exaggerated, and we have to give ourselves a reason for the fact that, while studying and engaging, we will only use a small part of it. The quality of the files produced is absolutely the top of Fuji and I can't see any difference with the best ff if not - just - over 12,800 iso. The screen is extremely articulated and handy and beautiful the ability to "store" it so as to protect the screen by showing an even more retro clean back. There is, however, a hard price to pay: the misalignment between the image-lens axis and the disased screen on the left creates some difficulties. Too bad that to hold all the functions that the XT4 has, including the excellent stabilization, Fuji failed to further miniaturize the camera, which is bulky than the ff. Sony is not perfect for street photos, making you feel the need for a second "minimalist" body. For autofocus I still find it difficult to use in motion in low lights, which increase using some older Fujinon designed type 56 1.2 or 60 2.4. sent on March 12, 2021 |
![]() | Sony A7r III Pros: Small body, light but rocky. Sensor among the best with ample possibilities of crop and tonal range at the top. Little noise especially in high ISO movies. Autofocus now perfect. Ability to use almost any goal. Quality SONY support. Guaranteed shutter for an exorbitant number of shots. The battery never ends. Cons: Lack of physical deliande and mandatory use of the less intuitive menu that is in circulation. Noisy shot (but there are those who say it is necessary to make the shot feel to those in front of the lens... ). Native colors that need a retouch. Noise in ROW in the shadows has been present since the low Iso. Monitor only partially unfolded. The sensor's tendency to get dirty with every change of optics. Opinion: It's great the miniaturization they did at Sony; Even today the A7, despite its robust and sealed body, is the smallest and lightest full frame, to be carried around with targets without excessive weights. Coming from Canon D 5 III the difference in weight with the kit is really remarkable. The sharpness of the sensor is exceptional with ample cropping and a dynamic range superior to the other machines I have tried. The JPG products don't have Fuji's perfect color tones, but if you work in Row the problem doesn't arise. The noise of the shutter is remarkable and you have to make a habit, especially if you have in your ears the "blow" of Fuji, especially the XH1. The anti-vibration system is there, but I don't think it's going to work miracles. The autofocus is a reference and does not make traditional SLRs regret it. I have many goals of various brands even ten years old and I can always mount them on the body of the A7 RIII; I think Sony offers them the best. Since it must always be improved, I would like if in the next models Sony worked on colors, on tiltable monitors even vertically and above all revolutionized the menu if anything by equipping even the bodies of physical garlands as Does Fuji. At that point you would risk a penalty from the antitrust! sent on July 04, 2019 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-E3 Pros: Aesthetics, size and weight, photo quality, colors in Jpg, easy menu. Robust, shock-resistant machine. Cons: Missing the beautiful and useful ghieres of other Fuji models, the LCD is fixed. Opinion: I keep it even though I now have two Sony bodies with their goals. In fact for "light" outputs is ideal and the range of goals enviable, although the older ones have really poor autofocus. In a few hundred grams even with some fixed lenses we have everything and you have fun, with results analogous to the full frame in 90% of situations. sent on July 03, 2019 |
