![]() | Sigma 24-35mm f/2.0 DG HSM Art Pros: Sharpness from fixed optics on all focal lengths, including edges. Vignetting and distortion equal to fixed focal lengths Cons: Weight. Limited focal excursion. Opinion: The optical quality of this zoom is not discussed. Excellent for weekly outings. At diaphragm f2 the images are a bit soft. From f 2.8 up to f.11 inclusive is spectacular. I've never taken a f16, so on this opening I can not judge. Coupled with the Canon 5 dsr allows unimaginable crop. On trips I would like to take it with me, but considering the weight and the limited focal length, it will stay home, replaced by the excellent Sigma Art 24-105 which gives f 5.6 up gives the same sharpness, except at the extreme edges where the 24 -105 can not keep up with 24-35, but much more flexible for greater focal length. Finally the colors that returns 24-35 I had never encountered them with any objective. sent on February 13, 2018 |
