![]() | Tokina Opera 16-28mm f/2.8 FF Pros: affordable price, robust, well made, optical quality Cons: does not carry screw filters, weather tightness with question mark Opinion: I thought to take the sigma 14-24, but 1200 euros for the use I make of it were too much, then by chance I saw some comments on the Tokina Opera 16-28 and I knew that the 50 1.4 opera has excellent reviews and therefore I risked. The most doubtful point is the behavior in astrophotography, because I knew well that in landscapes at F 11 everyone is fine. Then I was very interested in the focal length around 20 mm and has excellent qualities already at full aperture. To make it short I tested it in a session on the Argentario and in the vertical pano 16 mm at f4 it is very good. In horizontal single shot, the coma effect in my opinion is perhaps seen a little too much. That's fine for now. I always keep the Sammy 14 2.8 in stock, which perhaps goes a little better. Note the infinity is almost at the end of the stroke, missing a bit and therefore I always recommend to focus by hand at 200X and fix with a tape. The flare tightness looks good to me from shots against the sun. In conclusion excellent alternative at an acceptable price. sent on January 02, 2023 |
![]() | Sigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM Art Pros: versatile, fair price Cons: focus that varies according to magnification and the stabilizer that changes the center of the frame Opinion: IT HAS A DOUBLE CORE: from 24 to 50 mm it is quite homogeneous throughout the frame, useful for the landscape (the maximum of center-edge uniformity is at f 7.1, with the minimum of chromatic aberrations). from 70 to 105 great central sharpness to F4 that fades to the edges gradually, useful for making close portraits (it has the minimum distance at 45 cm). The focus is not suitable for a Video use and changes when the zoom is enlarged. The AF is slow and therefore not suitable for photos of fast-moving subjects. The stabilizer when it turns on moves you the center of the image . but it seems to do a decent job. For those who have Nikon F-mount is currently THE CHOICE. Technical notes: the softness on the extreme sides is recovered well with Stabilize Ai by Topaz, which does not regret more performing optics. On the use in PORTRAITS, I recommend reading the test https://www.nikonland.it/index.php?/articoli/test/obiettivi-sigma/sigma-24-105mm-f4-art-linsospettabile-testprova-r93/ sent on July 02, 2022 |
![]() | Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Pros: Sharpness Cons: WORRYING AUTOFOCUS Opinion: on sharpness, I do not add anything else is very good particularly from 1.8 even at the edges THE PROBLEM: AUTOFOCUS , my analyzes on both d800 and d850: outside the central points of the cross sensors (the three central rows), simply NOT THERE. he hooks but is never sharp. >>> IF YOU WANT THE PERFECT FIRE you have to focus in the center and recompose or use the LV large shadow even on the whole ART series. TOO BAD REALLY . Just to clarify with Tamron 70-200 g2 and 35 35 1.4 this does not happen or much much less. TOO BAD. it is important to be aware of it and train yourself to recompose sent on May 27, 2022 |
![]() | Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pros: Value Cons: macro photographs can't be done Opinion: The depth of field of 24 mm is reduced due to the 1.7 diaphragm and the larger sensor. The photos of the close-up flowers do not come well, the minimum focus of the main room does not allow it and the dedicated room is only 2Mpx For photos undoubtedly the GCAM 7.3 does a great job from 13 mm to 90 mm. Yes because the canvas is not cropd at 5 mpx as on the stock and makes decent photos at 8 mpx Very comfortable the wide angle 13 mm for landscapes The portrait I have yet to try. The videos should be made with the Stock avoiding the 5x canvas because a mess comes out. I'll update in the future. Final rating 8 for improvements that you can still make, but 10 for the price at the time 380.00 euros. In fact, the range of focals allows you to have a compact in your pocket and Gcam does an excellent job, to make the software of the FF pros envious. sent on April 06, 2020 |
![]() | LG G4 Pros: report excellent cost / quality: paid 300 euro. Camera among the best ever smartphone. Good screen and the hardware sector Cons: of the time it is not quite so ready to take pictures. Maybe the microphone may be better Opinion: I bought trying to have with me always the opportunity to do some decent shooting, without having incurring the cost and weight of a compact. I would say it does its job well. You can combine with other software such as Better Camera to get even more control. Good Hardware and the possibility of large volume SD. rn sent on October 15, 2016 |
