Fujifilm XF 500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR Pros: Optical performance, light weight, build quality, AF motor, handling and balance. Cons: I would have preferred the foot to have been a couple of inches longer. Opinion: I appreciate the weight of 1.3kg which for me is a priceless plus. An equivalent 750mm that can be easily used freehand also because it is well balanced and does not fall forward. Effective stabilization. The performance is superlative already at TA (f/5.6). Lightning-fast autofocus, pleasant bokeh, nothing to do with zooms. It has 4 buttons on the barrel that can be configured as af-on or af-lock, or as a recall of an AF point that can be selected with the preset button. Absolutely adequate price. My best purchase in years. Vote 10 sent on 13 Giugno 2025 |

Leica Telyt-R 350mm f/4.8 Pros: Blurred, three-dimensional, color, robust. Cons: Fringing, focus travel too long. Opinion: Built starting in 1980, without compromise, it cost the staggering sum of 7 million lire! Very robust, all in metal, the optical scheme is by W.Mandel, preparatory to the creation of the masterpiece 280mm APO 1:4 It provides an image with a gradual blur that is not found in modern canvases with ED glass, the three-dimensionality is excellent. The resolution has been designed for film, let's not expect the surgical sharpness of the latest generation glass, on the other hand the overall rendering is very pleasant. I don't appreciate the long focus range that makes it unsuitable for action shots, I would use it for landscape photos or even in portraits where the rendering is masterful. The weight is considerable, about 1.8 kg to use on a tripod. sent on 24 Marzo 2025 |
