In the naturalistic field it has allowed me to take really beautiful photographs, probably among my best in terms of colors and fidelity of reproduction of the reality of the subjects. Technically, the lens is very sharp from the center to the edges, more than the 150-600, compared to which it sees better even in low light, an area where the optical gap increases further. "Unfortunately", however, I must also admit that sometimes the Fujifilm autofocus has put me to the test, forcing me to commit myself much more than usual, to which I am accustomed, and constantly putting my hand to the menu adjustments. In particular, like all other Fujifilm telephoto lenses, on all bodies without exception, including the GFX system, the autofocus proves to be slow and not very fast in moving from one plane of focus to another and the speed drops further on gray days or as light goes down. This autofocus behavior can sometimes be frustrating and can cause you to miss shots. The image stabilization is very good, at the level of the others, but far from the references of the Olympus / OMSystem system. Up to 1/50 there are no major problems, below you have to be careful. Its greatest strength, in addition to the quality of the photos, is its extremely light weight, which allows it to be used intensely handheld for whole days. In addition, its size is quite small and can be stored in small backpacks and does not create any kind of annoyance even in the longest and most demanding transports.
