![]() | Nikon Z30 Pros: Practicality with few limits Cons: NN Opinion: Definitively returned to Nikon DSLR after a love-hate story ended badly with ML camera of a famous APS-C brand, for the needs of portability in holiday or Sunday raids, I decided to buy this device, aware of its physical limitations. Excellent AF features, eye recognition, people recognition, trouble-free tracking and finally responsive display. On the quality of the files and the resistance to noise at high sensitivities, as a professional accustomed to D5 that does not bend up to impossible iso, perhaps a bit noisy from 1600-2000 iso, but more than acceptable for the type of use. Body and optics kit fantastic combination, I thought it was lighter and more fragile, but it is nice and substantial. The menus, as a Nikon user since always (we are talking about the 80s film) have not changed substantially but, like all entry level cameras, some settings are to be found in the menus and are not relegated to physical buttons as on D5, but we are talking about another planet. Also the video side is absolutely not bad for the use for which it is designed. Final grade: a nice well-deserved 9. sent on March 26, 2024 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-H1 Pros: Robustness Cons: A lot Opinion: Used for 2 years at a professional level, so for work, I immediately discovered that it was not my device. Too many flaws ... Lag after shooting that does not allow operating speed, out-of-focus photos with Fuji top-of-the-range optics perfectly updated to the latest update available, as well as the camera, even with a tripod camera and radio control shooting, buttons (especially the damn Q) that are activated by handling it, lag in the viewfinder that sometimes turns white, customization is missing so as not to trigger the flash with a button, using it manually with triggers and off-shoe flash viewfinder BLACK, focus afc practically useless, but above all the colors ... forget the jpg already 'ready for printing ... the prints will be mercilessly YELLOW and people will look like the Simpsons, the reds tending to fuchsia FINTI, worse than Sony files, battery life 300 shots do not facilitate the work of a professional and the tightness to high iso and 'really questionable. Too bad, because it is a great means of work, robust, but that has never triggered the feeling I have for 40 years of Nikon. Sold off in spite of myself ALL the material in my possession (2 XH1 and various top lenses) and returned to Nikon strictly DSLR (D5), with which I finally returned master of my shots, from events to weddings, passing through sports photography. I think I will not buy back an ML soon, the market is still too young in my opinion. On the other hand, the optics are fantastic and all in all less expensive than other brands and more well made, but a professional can not lose the shot because his work medium makes a tantrum. Instead, I kept the XPRO2 with the 27 2.8 that instead I find really a sublime machine, and that I use strictly in black and white sent on May 03, 2023 |
![]() | Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2 R WR Pros: Well done as usual Fuji Cons: Soft to f2 and minimum distance maf Opinion: Very well built optics, with soft diaphragm ring the right and third stop, servo-assisted manual maf that I do not mind. Personally I love extreme sharpness, which can still be reduced to pp, so at f2 I find it a little soft for my personal tastes, but from f2.8 to 16 it becomes extremely sharp and meets all my expectations. I find the minimum distance of maf a little limiting, which still remains in the norm for a 35mm (there are specific optics for the closest photo)... I had no elements to compare it with big brother 1.4, but the focus is extremely fast and the yield of 2.8 amazing and without visible distortions. Beautiful optics at low price, to be permanently mounted on the camera. sent on March 01, 2021 |
