sigma_18-50_f2-8dnSigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN

Pros: Constant F2.8. Sharpness. Lightness.

Cons: Not stabilized. For some, the lack of an aperture ring (but I saw that you can photograph the same... :-) !)

Opinion: I have the X-mount version and I use it on the XT5 to have a light combination to use when you want to contain weights and dimensions. On the XT5 with its stabilized sensor, it works well and seems to be able to take advantage of the loved/hated 40 mpx. I am not an expert technician/engineer/optician like many here, mine is consequently an empirical and personal opinion and I can say that the performance of the lens is excellent and the photos I take are lacking exclusively because of my inexperience. I recommend it to those who want lightness and quality.

nikon_z50Nikon Z50

Pros: Image quality. Ergonomics for photographers (think about it). Small. Optical qualities available. ISO seal . Dynamic Range.

Cons: Optical quantities available. Sensor not stabilized (not for me)

Opinion: If you are looking for a small camera but capable of churning out good quality files, this Z50 you have to evaluate. It grips well (it reminds me of the Olympus OMD em 1mk 1-2 that I had), it is well done, it has keys that can be customized, two rings, the dedicated ISO button, exposure compensation both callable by a dedicated button, both on a wheel when working in priority, lightning fast focus in AFS, in AFC I still have to check because for the type of photo I do it has never served me and then I am used to Sony A7III and comparisons are difficult to make (even if now the A7III is throwing away... :-) ). I compared the files it returns with those of the XT3 (which I had), and I do not think it is inferior to this (indeed), true that the Fuji JPGs are a separate philosophy, but those of this Z50 are beautiful and can certainly suffice as they are produced by the machine. Raw files are full of information and workable, the tightness at high ISO is amazing and you can bring the histogram to the right to "ISO sound" and retrieve from the lights all the details you need (if we have not burned them ...) At low ISOs, when you ree the exposures or when they are particularly contrasted, from the shadows you recover details in a surprising way. Of course it is better to try it for yourself, but I am convinced that you will be surprised. The sensor is not stabilized, here those who say that vintage or third-party non-stabilized optics are then difficult to use may be right. True, but I just need the dedicated optics that are excellent and adequate to make this machine a light and performing tool for all occasions where I prefer little weight (climbing, trekking, cross-country skiing, MTB). The 16-50 in kit is amazing! It has only one slot, amen, I'll make it enough. The battery does not last long, amen I buy another one. On the video side, I do not pronounce as I do not do it, I do not know the parameters and I do not know what to say about it. Vote 9, maybe it deserves something more, but 10 I gave only to Bo Derek...

sony_a7r_iiSony A7r II

Pros: Sensor, file quality, build quality and now affordable value for money.

Cons: For my use none.

Opinion: Now I own the A7III and the A7RII and I would like to dedicate to them this quote from a song by Lucio Battisti: "Now I am quiet Like a duck on the lake Now I am paid, Finally in limbo Of my suffering and new maturity" My maturity leads me in the first place to accept my limits, without trying to overcome them by constantly changing camera body flattered by the sirens of new applied technologies that despite being really avant-garde I would not know exploit. If you do not feel pleasure already in the mere possession of a prestigious "last model", this machine is beautiful and is complementary to my other A7III. As already mentioned by others before me, excellent MF and AF, superb RAW image quality workable great, and also the JPG is very pleasant.

sony_a7iiSony A7 II

Pros: Image quality, reduced body size for a Full Frame (with a Samyang AF35/2.8fe is very transportable)

Cons: In His hand is not like a D750... For the rest, nothing particular but depends on what you want; It's not perfect...

Opinion: I have been using it for a few months and it was my motorcycle travel companion. After trying everything, using as a criterion the quality of the images with the size and robustness of the instrument, useful and necessary for a trip in motion, I must say (personal opinion not "pontifical") that this A7II, was the best of all that I Had and proved for this circumstance. Excellent Files, well workable and ISO-resistant to the use I have reserved, taking photos of reportage, I never had to push over the 3200 ISO and within the 1600 not known problems. The viewfinder? It will not be a "cinematic" experience but I see no problems in use. AFS is better? Yes, but it depends on what you need to do and I can tell you never cheated on me. Afc? Here maybe there's really better... But it's not a real tragedy! Personally I never use it as instead I do with the A7III. Mf? Fun and facilitated by the assistance and thanks to the stabilizer in the car, the vintage optics or those only MF, are a pleasure. The menu? You just learn! The personalization of the keys allows to sew a machine to measure. The rest is up to us and not how it falls in front of the mirror.... And as a result, it is well used with a few shots because many did not approach the complete photographer... I forgot, it consumes batteries of course! But here, you don't even need to tell what to do...
