![]() | Irix 150mm f/2.8 Macro Pros: Sharpness, blurry, value for money Cons: At the moment I do not detect any Opinion: From my point of view, I consider it to be one of the most successful lenses in its field. Totally manual (and for that matter on a macro lens that's okay) it returns vivid details of the subjects, as well as producing a noteworthy blur. The progressive focus lock ring is no small plus, which in some cases allows you to replace a micrometer slide. sent on July 13, 2021 |
![]() | Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM II Pros: Excellent performance at all focal points Cons: Absurd locking system Opinion: Tested on 1dx mkII and R6, even with ext 1.4 shines for autofocus speed and optical performance, in my opinion much better than its predecessor. One aspect that I find really embarrassing is the ring locking, with the long and much less practical stroke than the cursor one installed, for example, on the 24-105 series 2. I would also have liked an internal zoom system, such as the Sony 200-600, but you can't have it all at first glance. sent on November 12, 2020 |
![]() | Gitzo Traveler GT0545T Pros: Light and compact; Excellent finishes. Cons: Ball and pan clamping knobs that can inadvertently undress completely and go lost. Feet that unscrew with ease when rotating the rings to extend the legs. Opinion: Taken in kit with the head 82tqd, I've been using it for about a year. In spite of the slender appearance, it proves in reality extremely solid, I would say granitic, even completely extended. Effortlessly brings a 5d MKIII + 70-200 2.8 is + 2x Extender. I think it is the best for those who need to move to mountainous areas and cannot afford a sherpa. Too bad for the pins and knobs of ball and pan closure, easily "accessible" as it is not expected to end the unscrewing. sent on January 23, 2019 |
![]() | Genesis C3 Pros: Price, Accessories Cons: Components Opinion: Excellent tripod in relation to the price. I'm not happy with the components, because the pins that fix the legs to the central body are unmanageable: they immediately become helmets with the use and, if you close them too much, you can not open the leg. The result is that I must always have two wrench in my pocket, ready to intervene in case of need.... and this happens several times each exit. sent on June 01, 2018 |
![]() | Sigma 180mm Macro f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM Pros: Sharpness, brightness Cons: Kinda heavy, but it is getting used to an inability to find a ring flash diameter 86; you have to use a gearbox. Opinion: I have used it for years on Canon 100 macro 2.8 L, great lens for which I am extremely happy with it. Lightness is certainly one of his best qualities. The Sigmone I picked it up because the bugs don't like too much the closeness of the photographer and the Canon is a bit short. Overall I am very satisfied of the quality of the files; wonderful blur. It seems a little slow in focusing when you set AF for use as a medium telephoto. sent on April 16, 2018 |
