![]() | Canon EF 500mm f/4.5 L USM Pros: Relatively low weight (apart from the lens hood) Top build quality: fast and accurate AF Also remarkable on R series (R3, R7 and R6) Cons: AF that if it breaks it is no longer repairable Lens hood that is a boulder Slightly soft and less crunchy than newly designed RF lenses Opinion: Bought used here on juza this immortal lens After more than 30 years from its construction it still manages to churn out fantastic photos I'm using it on R bodies (R3 R7 and R6) and it behaves very well both in terms of AF and detail It is not as detailed as RF lenses but it can certainly have its say even in 2025 Relatively low weight that for a few shots also allows you to use it handheld Not having the work need of such a lens I have never gone so far as to buy one, but having found a perfect specimen both externally and internally at a modest price I decided to buy it Used for some test shots both on the ski slope and for fauna I think I made a deal. Hopefully nothing breaks as it is no longer repairable at official Canon. Also tried with 1.4x III and I must say that for close subjects it loses almost nothing, if you go to infinity it kneads a bit. If you want to treat yourself to a professional super telephoto at a modest price, I recommend it!! sent on March 20, 2025 |
![]() | Canon EOS R7 Pros: Amazing AF, satisfying HIGH ISO, TOP Burst, Lightweight Cons: Small body, key position different from R6, no battery grip, sound of the shot a little plastic Opinion: After years of well-deserved service and after being electrocuted by the R6 I retired my 7Dmk2 with 700,000 shots (still working) and I decided to take the little sister ML with APSC sensor. PHOTOS: photo compartment very similar to R6, slightly lower hold at high iso, AF slightly faster, more FPS purchased with 18-150 kit that I thought worse but it is at the level of 24-240 that I own on R6 the best but it gives it with more pushed optics type 70-200 2.8 III or 100-400 II jpeg files from the machine very good and usable, I have not yet tried the Dual Pixel RAW VIDEO: very good stabilization, 4K, Log etc. will make me prefer the R6 in this area even not being a professional videomaker Total Rating: 9 sent on September 21, 2022 |
![]() | Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Sport Pros: Sharpness, AF speed, construction, customizable buttons Cons: Nobody Opinion: Arrived today so not yet held to the bottom but already at first glance SIGMA did center!!! Spectacular lens, both as a building and as optical quality and focus. Tried for now on 7dmk2. You don't miss a shot. Extreme sharpness even at TA. I switched to this from the Canon 70-200 2.8 is I also possess the 150-600 C and I have to say that Sigma with these latest objectives is clearly in step with those of home canon, with the difference that with the dock you can update and set the lens to your liking. More than satisfied!!! sent on January 25, 2019 |
