![]() | Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 VC USD Pros: Excellent sharpness/definition from 2.8, minimum CA, minimum geometric distortions, minimal vignetting, constant quality at different focal lengths, frontal lens protective treatment, fast and precise stabilizer, reasonable price/quality ratio. Cons: Size, weight, frontal lens exposed (inability to mount screw filters). Opinion: The lens is extremely sharp and performing, certainly not small and light, but for FF, while being a zoom, it competes quietly, and very often exceeds, the quality of the few high-level alternatives present on the market. Used on Canon MK-III and MK-IV for architectural work, it made me everything that needed a good result. The good quality of the images produced greatly reduces the need for PPD interventions to the benefit of the final rendering of the files. ![]() | Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD Pros: Wide range of focal lengths. Good yield at all focal lengths to be a handyman, at least up to 200 mm., Excellent bokeh. Weight, size, structure. Stabilizer excellent, fast and quiet. MAF fast and precise. Footprint "over all" also contained 300 mm. Tropicalizzazione.rnUna lens all in one discreet for those not looking for great quality, and it is in situations of reportage that vary continuously too quickly to change goal, and in those difficult when it becomes complicated and risky to change the optics. Cons: For now it reflected the usual defects of this lens range extremes: some distortion, images gradually softer than 200. Color fringing in some situations. Price (I've heard from many quarters that the beginning of 2015 will be applied to the new official list, going from the current 740 to 990 euro) Opinion: I was always very skeptical about optical forces of this kind and of this price range. The alternative: the Canon 28-300, much more heavy and cumbersome, on the market today to ca. 2500 euro. The need for a versatile and lightweight lens in addition to my kit Canon excellent, to which I trust I have always been and always with me, pushed me to groped with this latest version in order to provide convenience and quick recovery during my work of reportage, and many of the critical condition of travel: sailing, sandy deserts, wind and dust, 7-12 hour drive to the neck continuously for days; too awkward and weight for 2 camera bodies in the most cases. I expect this' optical, of course, the image quality is not of a high standard; will be studied for a moment to figure out how to make the most and I also expect to have to spend a few minutes in PP., I hope it's worth it: I need versatility and reduce risks of continuous changes of optics. I tested it for now only on a 5D Mk2, a few dozen shots; for usethat I do seems to promise as much as I expected, maybe more. sent on December 25, 2014 |
