sony_a7s_iiSony A7s II

Pros: 12MPX, remarkable ISO hold

Cons: 4K 30p video, battery life, 8bit

Opinion: Taken in 2025 at a ridiculous price to shoot videos, I also started taking pictures of it and I must say that it surprised me a lot. The 12mpx are a virtue for both 1080p and 4k videos (unfortunately only 30fps, I'm a fan of 30fps much more cinematic but if you play with slow motion it's better to work at 60fps +) but also for photos with high iso, certainly it doesn't crop like the A7RII which is like having two lenses but it wasn't born for this. Given the price, the critical issues are easily bypassed, of course when it cost 3k they were felt (battery, 4k only 30fps, 8bit...), the closest choice in my opinion is the A7III which is better in almost everything and that if it had had 10bit for videos it would have torn it up, which is not true, so the A7S II, in my opinion, it is still a valid choice in 2025 and still allows us to bring home amazing results today

sony_nex3Sony NEX 3

Pros: it is at 50 €, better than a compact at an even higher price, shoots manually, compatible with e-mount optics, very light

Cons: battery life, lack of viewfinder, minimum iso 200, few function keys but for what it costs it is all negligible

Opinion: I needed a holiday / battle camera with the family that was compact and light, of those that even if they steal it from you does nothing, that if it flies down the ravine you do the splendid continuing to smile as if nothing had happened. So I started to sift through the point and click including some more advanced solution that shot in raw but the value for money was absurd, the minimum expense for something decent, even if used, was 150/200 € might as well take the a6000 with me. I found the Nex-3 on eBay for 35€ only body, I took it on the fly. It is a mirrorless of 2010 and it makes sense, in my opinion, only if you find it under 50 € and if you already have e-mount optics and batteries because age feels and how. 720p video, iso seal acceptable on 1600 thanks to 14mpx, 14mpx but they also please for the size of the files (a 64gb SD card holds more than 10,000 photos), bad battery life but in the meantime they weigh very little and anyone who has Sony has it, lack of viewfinder but for the price is fine, very few function keys (using it in manual is not trivial) but fortunately I managed to adjust ISO, opening and timing without major problems. It has many pros starting from the weight, it is quite fast, it shoots in raw, the quality of the photos is higher than many compact certainly more expensive and new generation, its shots are higher than those of on medium / high range smartphones, in short, if you find it under € 50, you already have batteries and optics in my opinion it is worth it even after 12 years. If you want to spend something more there are absolutely better choices like the 5100 which is another world than this or the nex-7 and nex-6 that are at absurd prices but under 50 € I do not know if there is better than the Sony Nex-3.

nikon_85_f1-8gNikon AF-S 85mm f/1.8 G

Pros: spectacular result

Cons: unsteadied, minimum focus distance

Opinion: Spectacular, mounted on a miserable D3200 makes its filth figure and the photos come out to a pro level, it is difficult to miss the shot with such an optics. The value for money is really crazy, at 1.8g has a bokeh that is frighteningly beautiful, sharp, raw photos already come out already beautiful, a pass in the raw room and come out of the masterpieces, slow to have to have to kit
