![]() | Canon EOS R Pros: 5dm4 sensor, raw quality, 30mpx, AF, LCD and superior display Cons: unfortunate angle of the AF-ON button, 1.8x crop in video, lack of body stabilizer (for those who need it) Opinion: After a couple of years of amateur use I think I can make an objective review. I found the transition a bit difficult ergonomically speaking, coming from the 5DM3 that I had been using for years, but it is easy to get used to the more compact and lighter body, also thanks to the wide customization of the buttons and the ability to move the focus point simply by dragging your finger on the LCD while looking through the viewfinder. A little more complex to get used to the touchbar that I had initially forced myself to use for ISO adjustment, with the hope of getting used to it, but it was not so. I often happened to touch it without realizing it, so I then inserted the block that allows the change of values only after pressing it for 2 sec but I found it extremely uncomfortable, finally, discovered the PV mode, I assigned it to secondary functions and I live happily like this. for general use the camera adapts to practically everything, although many criticize the AF system I must say that it has never made me despair and I have always taken the shots home even in "sporting" situations (tennis, cycling, volleyball, at an amateur level) despite the burst is not at the level of the later models. In landscape, portraits and macro I would say that it gives the best of itself and anyway there are, in my opinion, no cameras with a better quality / price ratio. Defects? There are those who say that with heavy and long lenses, e.g. EF 70-200 f/2.8 + adapter, it is too unbalanced forward, but equipping it with battery grip the "problem" is greatly mitigated. the 1.8x crop factor in video certainly makes you turn up your nose and you can't say that it is a mirrorless designed for videomakers, but I must say that with the RF 16mm you have a good 2.8 and a decent focal distance for shooting. Finally, the big "lack" could be the stabilization, introduced in later models and the single SD slot, but a professional who needs these features orients himself on other camera bodies sent on January 27, 2025 |
![]() | Canon EOS M3 Pros: Size and weight reduced to the bone, using optical and ef ef-s via adapter, optional viewfinder, ISO sensitivity, af excellent with Canon optics, wireless direct printing with printers (jpeg), a chance to show shots of devices via dlna Cons: built-in flash can not trigger other slave flash, NFC connectivity goes 1-2 again to 10 (I think it's a permissions problem on Android, solved with the app upgrade connect room), works fine instead pairing via wifi without router Opinion: C without wasting time navigating through menus, pinch-to-zoom quickly. Finally, I am satisfied with the product, even if some aspects are clearly improvable. to quality optics combined pulls out wonders (coupled with excellent 50 1.8 stm canon) update: proven best performing sd (specifically samsung pro) and now the read / write buffer is normal! sd I used were previously the SanDisk Ultra, who had no problem on the 60d sent on February 02, 2016 |
