![]() | Canon EF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Pros: well-built, very light !!!, small size, good optical quality, fast and accurate autofocus USM Cons: sharpness to not exciting edges, chromatic aberration blue-green-purple at the edges pushed in against the light. Opinion: I bought this lens for reading outputs and "versatile", and to not have to wear out too the 24-105 L, more heavy and awkward to carry around, and subject to the infamous break of the inner cable after a certain number of you zoom. This little zoom has a purchase price of its content in the used market (my I won an auction on ebay for less than 100 euro), and an optical quality far from poor, I would say very good . Returns of beautiful colors, is very sharp in the center, the distortions are smaller than the 24-105. E 'versatile and light, while being sturdy in construction; starting from 24mm wide-angle does not regret too much more driven into the landscape outputs. A 70mm you can make some decent portrait. A handyman is worth every penny and does not regret too much more expensive lenses, heavy and bulky. sent on May 23, 2016 |
![]() | Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 (1987 version) Pros: optical performance, in all aspects. much better construction of the fifty mark II Cons: autofocus a bit 'noisy Opinion: This small lens was a surprise. I had read in some American forum of optical performance superior to all other 50mm canon. I never tried the 50 L series, but using other professional lenses can say that the optical performance of this lens is astonishing. beautiful colors, much more beautiful moltoo 40mm STM which also possess. The blurry at full aperture is mellow, not nervous, I would say nicer than the fifty II who also owned. On nitidizza then it is great already wide open but closing a hair leaves you speechless. In short, after a few shots went off the love with this little lens. Something that does not happen often, and you then really knows what I mean. sent on April 24, 2016 |
![]() | Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Pros: Small and light! A crazy convenience. Focal versatile and a good bit 'all. Good build quality. Excellent sharpness up to f8. Excellent resistance to flare, has no chromatic aberration and does not distort. Excellent quality / price ratio. Cons: A hefty drop of the sharpness by stopping by f11 onwards (on full frame). STM autofocus motor, which used in the manual is always slower and less responsive and accurate than a mechanical, as well as running the risk of spoiling. Update: after a few months of use, compared to other more expensive glasses are not satisfied with the color rendering, basically cold. Even the complexion balancing the white tends markedly to yellow-green, which does not happen with other lenses. Opinion: I wrote all the pros / cons. I add that the feedback I've done on my copy which use of full frame SLR (Canon 6d). I recommend it especially to those in need of a small lens to keep always in your pocket or mounted to the task. It 'a great all-rounder lens street, which is fine by photography set or landscape (40mm has a visual cone much broader than fifty), but you can push it up to the half-length portrait. He also discrete macro skills. Update: as I wrote in counter I noticed a non-optimal behavior in color rendering, often difficult to balance, because changing the white embodied tend to yellow-green. The problem is felt less in the landscape photos, but in ambientati portraits or street forcing you to a lot 'of post production on color. sent on December 01, 2015 |
![]() | Yashica ML 21mm f/3.5 Pros: Small dimensions, exceptionally robust and precise construction, the absence of aberrations, well contained flare, excellent sharpness at the center. Cons: Use stop down with non-linear trend of meter reading. Sharpness at the extreme edges not very good. cold color rendering. Opinion: This slow, hard to find, and with high prices, it's a little gem of yashica home, and probably the one I prefer. I add that I have a nice collection of yashica and some Zeiss lenses, and having tried many I can say that this is a very good vintage 21mm lens, really practical to carry around for a landscaper, and that gives great satisfaction. As with all lenses a bit 'dated the file must be worked to get us out the most, but with this lens we start with a good base of sharpness and the almost total absence of chromatic aberrations. This point often overlooked but in my paramount notice. Probably this lens is worth much more than its market despite high prices. sent on May 31, 2015 |
![]() | Canon 5D Pros: For image quality is still among the heads of digital SLR cameras. In some lenses that I used with the first little satisfaction on aps-c (Eos 40d) I noticed a significant increase in yield. The blur that is obtained with this machine, in the portraits, being equal aperture and focal length, it is impossible to achieve with any aps-c, as recently both. Yield at high iso in my opinion still exceeds the latest Aps-c (the only one that comes close is 7d). Wide and bright viewfinder. Solid body and with exceptional ergonomics. It 'the only full frame affordable for those who do not want to spend a fortune (and often is used in good condition for 800 euro). Cons: Display small and hard to read in bright light. Shooting information visible through the viewfinder become difficult to read when there is strong sunlight. Autofocus is not like the 7D, but I think it applies to more than 80% of the photographic subjects. Dynamic range is not exceptional. Using a long time and noise reduction for long exposures is a bit 'slow recording. Does not have the micro autofocus, and this in my opinion is its greatest extent, together with the lack of live view. Opinion: I went to this body after using 2 machines aps-c (400d and 40d) and I would never go back. The transition to full frame I opened up a world of image quality previously unimaginable. I recommend it to those who want to make professional-quality photos without noticing you have the latest technological trinket. A machine of substance. sent on September 23, 2011 |
