![]() | Canon TS-E 17mm f/4 L Pros: A professional lens that keeps what it promises. Cons: Projection of the lens and flare Opinion: TS stands for two terms that stand for Tilt and Shift and that is the possibility of being able to act on the focus (Tilt) and the shift of the frame without moving the camera but simply acting on the lens (Shift). The first function (Tilt) allows to focus more subjects on different planes and not parallel to the plane of the film/sensor, this allows to increase the depth of field and then the portion of focus without acting on the diaphragm as for the objectives Traditional. The second function (Shift), which is that pleasing to the architecture and interior photography, allows to eliminate the falling lines and to return a real and undeformed perspective, in summary the vertical lines remain parallel to each other and perpendicular to the Horizontal plane. In order for everything to work the system (camera and lens) must be placed "in bubble" otherwise the TS does not do its job and behaves like a normal target. I use this lens for some time and after having tested it I'm going to write a few lines. Once you fully understand its operation you realize its potential and what it can do as opposed to a normal lens. First, its 17mm, as we all know, are many more than more wide lenses that are used not in the bubble but bent upwards to bring the subject back into the frame; In fact to straighten the falling lines you cut much of the frame and this inevitably reduces as an effect the angle of field of the ultra wide lens. It is a lens that as opposed to what you think can be used quietly without a tripod if you own the level inside the camera and if you have enough light to be able to photograph with decent times. The manual focus of this lens is not a decrease but a technical fact because the AutoFocus cannot work with a decentrable lens. You appreciate the importance of this type of system only when you use, I happened to take photos with more wide lenses but returning to the same point I could verify that what I can do a TS-E can not do so no other goal; Of course if you have the space to be able to movere and the ability to rise is clear that does not make sense a TS-E but if you're in a square with little chance of movement or at home with all the limits of space is clear that the lens you can exploit to the best of its possibilities and No other lens can give you the same results. In my shots (someone you'll find in this section) I use this lens almost always decentrated to the maximum with great satisfaction and mainly on the outside but it is a lens that you can use quietly as a simple wide angle for any type of photos and Then the lack of deformation returns shots with a very high image quality. You can do a lot of things and you can indulge very much given its creative vocation not least the possibility of being able to combine more shots decentrating the lens in order to get a wider view of the 17mm starting. WITH REGARD TO THE USE OF THE FILTERS USE THOSE WITH LEE PLATE WITH ADAPTER RING PRODUCED FOR THIS SPECIFIC LENS BY LEE, WITH ATTACHED POLARIZER OF 95 MM FOR THE SYSTEM LEE 100. It is undoubtedly a very niche lens but when you use it you realize the potential that can express such an instrument. sent on August 04, 2018 |
![]() | Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical Pros: Unbeatable value for money to keep up with the most beautiful ultra wide-angle. Cons: Fully manual and Canon lens does not provide Exif data Opinion: Although it was the first time I looked at a lens that was not Canon I had to recapture. There is a lens that I conspicuously advise without fear of being denied, of course it is a completely manual target and Canon does not even provide Exif data but forgive these venial sins. It's crisp, it has a minimal distortion for an ultra-wide angle and the field angle is so wide that in the frame you get everything inside. RnOn this purchase I took advantage of it to change the focus slide using one with the broken image (Canon does not do it but a company that takes Canon slides and edits them) to overcome the lack of auto focus And the confirmation beep. RnThe contrast is great and the aperture is all about the chromatic aberration is not worse than the best Canon L series. I would recompress it without even thinking about it halfway, so there is no optic in the picture of a photographer. sent on June 16, 2017 |
![]() | Canon EF 85mm f/1.2 L II USM Pros: Superb for portraiture, absolute dominant in its category, second to none; of course the portraits are her daily bread but it is always a good idea to use in every circumstance and it will not disappoint you! Cons: Slow autofocus and relevant weight, 1 kg of glass, I also add that the mechanics and the construction of the optic with external movement causes excessive battery consumption, so I advise, if there is time to do so, to help shift of the focus ring manually. Opinion: It is a lens that needs to be appreciated and known. The unique feature that makes it unique is its wide diaphragm opening that goes beyond any expectation. Anyone who buys such a beast can only use it all open af ??/ 1.2 not so much to use it in low light conditions but to get that blurred effect typical of this lens. In order to use af / 1.2 even in abundant light conditions, using ND filters to reduce light input and recover the necessary stop for proper exposure, the blur that returns is unique. Its focal length can also bring two subjects into the foreground at the minimum focusing distance of 0.95m, using a FF, which is not possible with the equally valid 135mm f / 2L. To have both eyes in the focus of a subject, you have to be parallel to the optic plane, and in any case just a small movement to that opening that you easily lose fire, but if you can pick the right time the show is garantito.rnThis is an update to what has been written above: rnThat I can say at a distance of time that if you use more closed diaphragms than 1.2 and the quality of the image it returns is excellent and it makes its higher optical rank rank , the files they produce are of high quality! sent on May 11, 2015 |
