During my PhD I was also affiliated with the Department of Conservation Biology (CSIC) in Seville, Spain. My research began on the ecology of birds and continues with the African buffalo and wild pigs. I have published three books and several papers on birds and mammals. For more than a decade I have been involved with a study on the ecology and behaviour of the forest buffalo for my MSc and PhD, spending more than two years in a remote area in the Dzanga-Ndoki National Park, Central African Republic. My current project is about the conservation of the giant forest hog in a set of three protected areas in Uganda. I am also a collaborator of a project on the philogeography and genetic structure of the African buffalo and lion at continental scale conducted by the University of Liège (Belgium). I am also a reviewer of many peer-reviewed international journals. Member of JuzaPhoto from 25 Dicembre 2013 |
