canon_100is_macrolCanon EF 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM

Pros: Having taken it only now

Cons: Not having taken it before

Opinion: I am shocked. Really shocked. It's the first L series I buy, despite having already used others over the years, but this one... this is of another level. Taken at a great "used" price, also thanks to the desire of my partner to do macro. I eternal undecided between the 100mm f2.0 and the 135mm L in the end I took the 100mm L... well, I would say a great compromise!! Speaking of the lens there is at the same time little and much to say. The construction I find excellent, the weight all in all contained (weighs practically as much as my pentacon 135mm f2.8), the triple distance selector is a real godsend, the autofocus even in full I find it very fast and very quiet. The hood is a cannon, perhaps a little too long, but it does its job and, it may seem like, but mounting and disassembling it is a unique satisfaction from how fluid it is. The stabilizer does an excellent job on "normal" photos, while for freehand macros the problem is not so much the micro shake, as the very shallow depth of field and there is no stabilizer that helps, but it is still great for macros. From TA to f11 my specimen is a real blade, after that it starts to lose something, but from then on it is not the fault of the glass, but of the physics. Used on both 5d mk ii and 7d mk ii, so far it has never disappointed me. Also tried for portraits and churns out a blurry that I love madly and the detail is obviously macro. Sometimes it exalts you, sometimes you would like something softer (especially at TA), but I already knew it before buying it. Ultimately a fantastic goal, which if taken used at the right price is a real must-have. If I have to find a flaw for the use I make of it (amateur) is the lack of the tripod ring

canon_50_f1-8stmCanon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM

Pros: Sharpness - AF compared to the 50ino old

Cons: Do not have it in your bag - Flare - Chromatic aberrations

Opinion: What can I say... I had for years the predecessor and I decided to do this "upgrade" to check if it actually had these pros compared to the 50ino old; so after receiving an honest offer for my 50ino, which I didn't think possible in 2022, I made the change. Well... I would say that I am very, very satisfied, first of all by the construction, excellent. That said, I honestly do not understand how you can say that the AF is noisy, or you are used to only the L series otherwise as far as I am concerned it is silent. I also found it much more accurate than the 50ino old, even if sometimes it is still wrong, especially at f / 1.8, but already at f / 2.0 I find it excellent. At least now there are more shots that I take home than those I throw, but maybe on this aspect I was lucky. I must say that I was also pleasantly impressed by the sharpness. At f/1.8 I think it's equal to the 50ino old, while already at f/2.0 mine is a blade. I was stunned by the detail. I find it even more contrasted against the light, but the flare and the CCs are always there. For the first one there is little to do, apart from immediately getting the hood, which I have already done. While the AC I found them evident, but nothing that I could not remove in post. Finally, the bokeh... certainly improved compared to the old, on some occasions I find it very pleasant, other times instead it is nervous. At the end of the day I found it a big step forward compared to the old 50ino and for the price at which you take them home looking in the used is certainly a must-have.

pentacon_135_f2-8Pentacon 135mm f/2.8

Pros: Sharpness, construction, price, focal length on FF, 15 blades, bokeh

Cons: nobody for now

Opinion: If they call it a bokeh monster a reason as well will be there! My specimen is 15 blades, a real bomb. Bought at 85 € with shipment, but kept in awe. It depends on a specimen, but in my both the diaphragm and the mafia ring is fantastic. Without the slightest noise and especially the maf is virtually infinite, after a while I'll kick you! RnThe quality and the clearing of the floors at TA impressed me immediately (I use it on FF) and above all its bokeh: it has a cremeity to the " limit of irritating "is so beautiful. Taken for a single purpose: close portraits, but I think I will try to use it for full figures as well and I'll let you know what I think.rnIf you want to buy it know that there are several versions, in particular give a diaphragm eye: there is a 6 slats (the cheapest) and 15 slats (more expensive) and as far as the price difference is concerned, the candle is absolutely worth it.

zenit_50_f2Zenit Helios 44-2 58mm f/2.0

Pros: Price, Bokeh

Cons: And who sees them ?!

Opinion: My specimen has just locked the diaphragm ring, so alas, I will only use it to f2 ... that's just what I've always done with this goal. RnI do not think there's anything to say, just do a search in google writing "helios 44-2" and then the reviews are no longer at all.rn my specimen at f2 shows great sharpness if I stay within about 2 meters, plus tends to lose a bit of incisiveness. It's better not to shoot in the backlight or the sun just out of the frame because, apart from the flare that is always lurking, you really lose too much incisiveness. The best of it is with the foliage or a constant background such as a grass, fields of flowers or pebbles. The swirly effect in my specimen is marked but not excessive and used on both apsc and FF I can say that there is no story on FF, all the other pasta.rnBut without looking obsessively on the effect of his bokeh he always succeeds give photoor with a unique character, in its magical way. rnrn I use adapter with confirmation chips and I had to adjust it to -20 in the room. Definitely I would not advise those who can not make microregulation.

canon_5d2Canon 5D Mark II

Pros: Image quality, iso hold (for what I need and respect where I came from), ergonomics, menu intuition, reliability, construction ... and I'll stay here

Cons: but I do not need it and if you buy it you know what to do, AF system, but still for me is not a problem. Opening shadows

Opinion: Fantastic little car. I come from 600d years and this was a phenomenal leap forward. Taken used, version of 2011 to 600 € here on the forum. Machine sealed perfectly and with few clicks. It was love as soon as I supported the eye on the viewfinder. It has crazy ergonomics; I have small hands and I always thought that I would not have felt so much difference and that, indeed, for me it would be a problem and instead it is all the other way around. Hold the machine and this falls perfectly. All the commands are where they are to be and after two days I was back not having to watch the commands (as I did with the 600d). The image quality is crazy, as well as the videos that can turn around. Now I understand when we weave FF praise. Compared to the 600d I can safely shoot at 3200iso and with some accuration even at 6400 you take home great shots. I noticed that it is best to close the lights to open the shadows, especially when the subject is very black; with the 600d I did not put too much on prso much the recovery was not limited enough. Weight is the weight, but you get used to it right away, and indeed, more weight definitely helps to keep pace and balance; for now I do not feel the need for a BG.rn Refining is what it is, but I do not need it, so no problem. The AF system also has 10 years, identical to what I had before, but I found it much more reliable especially on the sides. The points will be few, but I have always shot with the center then re-assembled, so now the chance to have decent sides is still a step forward. By going out of warranty I would like to mount magiclanter, they all speak very well, especially video side where I delight every now and then. What to say, for me, is the "defined" machine that will remain in the bag until it is completely gone!

canon_600dCanon 600D

Pros: Articulated screen, battery life, video quality, quality / price

Cons: Lateral side AF with low light, burst (but if you take it is not to make birdlife), big over 1600, look at 95%

Opinion: I have been driving this car for 4 years and I would say that I can give you an objective and complete opinion. The machine in my hands (small) shoes very well and I do not feel the need for a batterygrip. The battery really wears a lifetime, I have two spare parts but I do not think I have ever used it. Menus and keys are very intuitive, I remember at the time of going to try different machines, but with canon was love at first touch. The adjustable screen is a real manna from the sky and opens you very interesting perspectives (especially in the videos) Without having to become a contortionist or not knowing what is being framed. The 10x zoom with attached focus is great for accurate focusing on the millimeter. The raw cheeks are nice provided you do not climb over the 1600 iso (obviously in low light, if the environment is well lit also take a 3200 iso is quietly feasible) over the noise begins to become intrusive. Sincerely I've never pushed over the 3200, the 6400 do not even know what they are! RnThe meter sometimes amBut I learned how to shoot in the manual by compensating for the error of exposure I already know that it will (as it is said, all experience). The burst is obviously low as well If you can calmly bring something home, but that's not why you buy this car. The AF on the side points is not the best, especially with economical targets (eg 50 1.8) while with optics like the 2.8 2.8 stm is very accurate, but now by habit only shots with the center and recomposed. The live view is very good though the focus is slow, but never imprecise.rn As far as the video segment is concerned, I can not be satisfied with it. I've made several videos and I've always been satisfied (to have a good audio I need an external microphone). In conclusion I find it a perfect machine for those who want to start photographing, but also able to offer something more, especially at the price at which It is used.

canon_efs24stmCanon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM

Pros: Lightweight, small, crisp, economical, distance focusing reduced

Cons: For now no

Opinion: I bought it recently, but I've already made several shots and I can not be excited! APSC is almost on a 40mm focal and how, after testing using plasticones stuck at 24mm I am not at all sorry !! rnRestituisce of very beautiful colors and the engine stm allows a focus really fast and silent, for now has not never missed a colpo.rnOttima also sharpness, even at TA, closing then becomes fabulous: even the bokeh is pleasant and also resists very well to flare.rnNon I can recommend it 100%!

canon_50_f1-8_v2Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II

Pros: price, brightness, focal length (then it is subjective)

Cons: purple fringing

Opinion: There are many things you could say about this goal. I pissed on APSC and I am fine. Up to F2.2 I think it is a little soft, then starts to improve a lot to give its maximum around f8, but I think it is already at 2.8 and 4 utilizzabilissimo great. The AF motor is not a lightning, but for a non-professional use I consider acceptable, is not very precise, particularly TA tends to have some indecision. The bezel for the focus instead is inconvenient to use because very thin. Chromatic aberrations are not lacking and has an annoying PF. But for that you have to pay € 80 to get one used I consider it a must-have that is always handy. It is true that I do not have optical high-level, but rather than remove the 50cc from my 600d do 200 steps forward or backward!
