![]() | OM System M.Zuiko ED 150-600mm f/5-6.3 IS Pros: Stabilization, pump zoom. Cons: Weights for an M43, a spitting copy of the Sigma, optically questionable. Opinion: I tried this lens by accident, meaning I was in the right place at the right time. Practically the copy of the Sigma, dimensions and weights are the same, and here opens a parenthesis on the actual willingness of OM to invest in its own projects and not copied by competitors, so far we have seen an OM System Mark2 that is the same as the first with a slight update of the AF, the 12-40 II the same as the first, projects and lenses that Olympus already had in the project that has left to OM that so far does not seem to have invested in nothing. The lens in question at full focal length is unmanageable, other than stabilizer you need the tripod inevitably, but above all it is dark for an M43 that already has a small sensor that starting from 3200 or 6400 iso inevitably suffers from noise ... Let's forget the judgment with multipliers, it doesn't even make sense to talk about it. In conclusion, at home you take a few good shots in broad daylight but with a lot of waste. Useless optics according to my very modest opinion. sent on December 14, 2024 |
![]() | OM System M.Zuiko 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO II Pros: Professional optics in every sense, a valid project from the outset, in fact, taken up by OM for the second version. Cons: Nobody Opinion: As I wrote, a valid project from the beginning, in fact taken up by OM for the second version, which optically has practically no difference with the previous one, I had both, never a problem great satisfaction in the rendering of the images, sharp, almost perfect. The value of second-hand! Perhaps it is the only drawback, inexorably devalued. sent on June 28, 2024 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f/2.8 Pro Pros: Definitely a full-fledged PRO lens, without hood it is still as small as 80-300 f2.8 (equivalent) - massive solid holding it in your hand gives you a strong feeling of solid. Cons: Maybe the blurred a bit hard, let's say "electric" - continuous autofocus that is lost when trying to follow a subject with the zoom - functional hood but delicate mechanism. Opinion: Rating 10 lens for me fantastic, at full aperture already from incredible results, with the duplicator means it loses almost nothing, with the 2X obviously you lose sharpness at the longest focal lengths but still remaining at a good level. I pulled out the hood and replaced it with a more practical rubber one... The blurred is a bit hard for me and as I said in the continuous autofocus that is lost when you try to follow a subject with the zoom, you have to do your hand but still I find it a superb optics. sent on September 30, 2022 |
![]() | OM System OM-1 Pros: Small, lightweight, resistant to everything and better than other blazons, improved autofocus, battery life, ergonomics. Cons: It's no longer Olympus Opinion: I start from the fact that I have an M43 and I know I have it, I know strengths and weaknesses, I make absolutely no comparison with the FF, it makes absolutely no sense and those who constantly insist on doing it, "raga fatevene a reason is another system!!!" Surely the compactness, which then characterizes all the rest optics in the first place, to achieve these measures the other brands have thrown themselves on diaphragms 6.7, 8, and even 11 ... The machine holds well in the hand, compared to the previous ones obviously I have to redo the position on the keys but little thing you get used to immediately. For my work I find it phenomenal, the autofocus for me was also fine that of the M3 or X, the latter however has improved, for noise lovers the Raw works excellently with DxO PhotoLab, leaves literally shocked, nothing to do with any Adobe CC or LR package, and even better than C1 ... For the rest, I promoted the system five years ago and I am fully satisfied with it. sent on August 22, 2022 |
![]() | Panasonic Leica DG Elmarit 200mm f/2.8 OIS Pros: Sharpness, excellent balance in the hand, rigid and metal hood, practically macro photos for the minimum focusing distance. Cons: Small and uncomfortable hood screw. Opinion: Excellent optics, a real Leica lens, I have owned it for some time and even with the original duplicator supplied with excellent results, bright colors, sharpness even at full impressive aperture, I can say that although I use it with Olympus machines I feel great and I have never encountered any problem, taken with some doubt I changed my mind immediately, for me it is definitely one of the most beautiful optics I have. sent on August 16, 2022 |
![]() | Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm f/3.5 Macro Pros: Small practically pocket-sized, sharp, economical, lightweight. Cons: Perhaps the lack of the hood, and diaphragm 3.5. Opinion: I bought this lens without many pretensions, a macro that can always serve, and instead I found a respectable lens, optical quality that I consider crazy bright colors, sharpness, tried and tried several times more than appreciating it I tried immediately to find the defects but really I did not find them (at least for me), because I had only one thought in my head: it costs too little, who knows where the rip-off is... sent on January 31, 2022 |
![]() | Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 12mm f/1.4 ASPH Pros: Quality, fine metal construction, colors. Cons: Maybe the weight, but maybe. Opinion: Screaming lens, excellent construction, you hold it in your hand and feel the weight but you know that all quality, optically a portent, the photos practically do not need much, panic sharpness, bought almost for a whim now I can no longer remove it from the camera body. Compared with other Olympus lenses, on which I use it very well and without problems, the colors are much better, sometimes even excessive, the Zuiko lenses in my opinion are more neutral. What to say recommended definitely. sent on January 09, 2022 |
![]() | Olympus OM-D E-M1 III Pros: Compactness, little weight, great shutter speed, extreme tropicalization does not fear anything, yield despite the small sensor. Cons: For what it costs I would say nothing, perhaps the viewfinder can be improved. Opinion: I had two M2, two X and two M3, I would say that it is the normal evolution of an existing project that works well, obviously those who make comparisons with the FF did not understand anything about the M43, the shutter speed is amazing and the Raw file with the right software (DxO advice) never made me regret having abandoned Canon for a smaller format, surely the compactness of the system has given me back taste to photograph, I carry with me what I need without stressing weight and bulk. What to say I am satisfied, obviously I do not deny certain limits for charity but nothing to complain about or unsolvable. sent on January 06, 2022 |
