![]() | Canon EF 100mm f/2.0 USM Pros: Perfect color resolution, fast and accurate USM, almost total absence of CA although diaphragm 2 is usable only at the center. I agree with "Good ex-subject-background with a nice bokeh and creamy while still maintaining a high level definition." Practical and lightweight. Excellent quality / price ratio Cons: I have not found yet. Opinion: When I switched from 5D to the 1D Mark II (thank God) I did not find large differences between the photos taken with the 5D with the 135/2 and the 1D Mark II with 100/2, a lens that both new and used practically coast a third of the wonderful 135. With the 1D Mark II with factor 1.3 is almost perfect for portraiture. I have done so far maybe a hundred sets (and amateur) with this lens and I've never been disappointed. Perhaps only 5% of the photos I had focus problems, but in this I think that the 1D Mark II has its part. Last year I sold it because of some personal problems and I'm sorry. Quickly as I could I bought it again and now it is a "unsellable" of my camera kit. I highly recommend it! sent on August 26, 2012 |
