![]() | Nikon F Pros: Monstrous sturdiness, excellent quality, always works in every condition! Cons: If we consider that it has more than 50 years nothing! Opinion: My Nikon F, which I bought used (even with the pentaprism Esposimetric) in 1976 for 90,000 lire, is a part of my life as a passionate about photography; Talking About You moves Me. I remember using it with undisguised pride, as a boy when he was still the top of the cameras with his 50 1.4, photographing people on the street and female insureds who concerts mythic (Genesis, Pink Floyd etc.) where I was mounting an economical MTO 500 (total weight 2/3 kg!). At the time I used it a lot, even underwater in a case of Oceanic, today I do not use more but I will never undo; I think I owe her my passion for photography. It's a myth, Needless to say, just remember that most of the photos taken during the Vietnam war, under prohibitive conditions, by professional photographers, were taken with this camera; At the time also the legend was that a photographer had saved himself from the shooting of a sniper thanks to the deviation of the bullet caused by a Nikon F. talk about technique, then, It's useless, had everything you needed and the rest needed to do "the handle." She is an old friend who deserves respect, helped to make the history of photography and laid the foundations of modern SLR Cameras. sent on October 13, 2018 |
![]() | Pentax SMC M 50mm f/1.7 Pros: sharpness, colors, construction, compactness Cons: if it were not for the fact that the internal "fin" of protection of the diaphragm transmission, create problems for my Eos 5D, I would say absolutely NOTHING Opinion: It is a point that I have known practically since it entered the market. I tried it, almost by chance, on the Pentax MEsuper of my cousin, in the 80s and, although not an expert, I immediately noticed the incredible quality of this perspective: that sharpness and colors! every time I find it at the markets I buy it; pity not being able to use it, directly, on my old 5D. Since, however, I have several, one, (the aesthetically more battered) I sacrificed and I cut that inner flange (fin-shaped) that prevents grafting on Canon. What to say; excellent! sent on December 09, 2017 |
![]() | Pentacon 135mm f/2.8 Pros: Construction, sharpness to intermediate diaphragms, handling, price Cons: no one in particular Opinion: It is one of the recent versions, Auto MC, built in the former East Germany, to say the one with six slats. That said what it surely impresses right away is its construction; All metal and glass. Soft (but not so much) if it's all open, and so great for portraits, with a fair blur. The intermediate diaphragms become very sharp. The colors are neutral and brilliant. Very handy and with a very soft and smooth focus ring; Very comfortable, though a little short, the built-in hood. Another thing that does not hurt is the price that hardly exceeds 50 € sent on August 10, 2017 |
![]() | Yashica ML 28mm f/2.8 Pros: excellent sharpness, excellent correction of distortion, cotruttiva quality, PRICE Cons: with M / F at infinity, in tail light locks the mirror of the Canon 5D camera Opinion: I purchased this light, for a few euros, usual market. Luckily I had an adapter ring for Canon EF and I put on my 5D. I just downloaded the first images on the PC, I noticed the excellent features of this light especially to the intermediate diaphragms: Excellent sharpness, picture depth, almost total absence of vignetting and excellent correction of distortion. The lens has a good size (I like it) but sufficiently lightweight, ergonomic and with a ring of M / F fluid and with the right size; reminds me a lot, even for this, the optical Zeiss for C / Y. The major problem I found with the Canon 5D (but I guess with later versions) was the mirror of the camera block when the M / F is set to infinity is intercepted, while shooting, by the tail light. After a quick reasoning, I have solved this problem by moving the M / F on a slightly smaller distance (say 10 m) and, then, removing thelight assembly from the mirror just enough. In this way, using a slightly aperture, I was able to easily get the right depth of field as well, taking the M / F at infinity. The rest of the occasions on which I need a blurry background, are those in which the subject is with a M / F set to short distances. However, I repeat that this is really good perspective that has encouraged me, even more, to orient to the fixed lenses that I have always preferred to zoom right from 70. The comparison with my Canon EF zoom 28-135 (which I judge, however, a good all-rounder), used the same focal length, it is absolutely impossible, and, of course, in favor of the Yashica. sent on September 07, 2016 |
![]() | MC Volna-9 50mm f/2.8 Pros: sturdy construction, great sharpness, PRICE (at least in my case) Cons: of pre-selection of the diaphragm "plunger" a little cumbersome Opinion: excellent materials: all metal and glass, has the charm of the optics used to be, is really well done. Excellent sharpness especially at intermediate diaphragms and excellent color rendering. And 'macro perspective, but I use it for portrait and landscape photos, I do not like the macro although I have done so much under water with Nikonos and pipes in the past (years 70/80); I try to use it as much as possible is really fantastic. It has means of preselection of the diaphragm a bit 'complex and not easy to understand and if you know can not give headaches (I enclose below the tutorial video link). The price is very variable and is on Ebay at around 100 €. I had a shot of cu ... and found it at the flea market for 10 € in excellent condition! Rnrnhttps: //www.youtube.com/watch? ![]() | Tair-3AS 300mm Pros: PRICE !, good sharpness and excellent construction Cons: weight and lack of automatic focus Opinion: I recently bought an old Canon 5D (after years of Nikon) to have, at a reasonable price, the full size. Three Sundays ago, then, I found at a market, for a few tens of Euros, this goal that I already knew (I enjoy taking pictures from 73), complete with handle, hood, filters and metal case. I used it today to take some pictures of waterfowl living in a volcanic lake that is in my neighborhood. I used it without a handle and for the focus I found the circular knob very comfortable under the lens that, in my opinion, once accustomed, is much faster than the classic manual ring. I used the apertures 5.6 and 8 and set the camera to 200 ASAs. The results seemed excellent with good sharpness and excellent color saturation (thanks also to the excellent 5D sensor). The only negative notes are the weight a little 'high and the rack of the mesa in focus, controlled by the relative knob, which is made of plastic material (nylon) and that"shells" rather easily; should be used with caution and must avoid the "end of stroke" forzati.rn sent on July 14, 2016 |
