Nikon Z50 II Pros: Right size, maximum portability, feeling of robustness, very intuitive menu, comfortable grip as per Nikon tradition, very high-performance autofocus, memory diagram compartment not shared with the battery. Cons: Not exactly performing battery, absence of stabilization, only one memory slot. Opinion: Very successful camera. Very portable and built really well with great autofocus. Also perfect for those who want to start. I found a specimen for just over six hundred euros with very few shots and at the time purchased from the dealer in December 2025 as per the receipt: practically new! Proof of the fact that we are forced to fall back on very dated models. Only one battery slot and type of battery not very durable, but I was already aware of it before proceeding with the purchase. Had it had all these merits usually relegated to high-end models, this Nikon Z50 II we would have found it in the high-end of Nikon full frame. In the past I had fuji models that I reluctantly resold to switch to more performing models on the autofocus side. The fuji world is wonderful and the possibility of playing with film simulations with the advantage of JPEGs already beautiful and ready but if you don't give me a lightning-fast autofocus what do I do with all this? Like having a beautiful car, with beautiful colors but slow compared to the competition. And please don't tell me that this gives me more time and calm to meditate, compose and enjoy the pleasure of photography. I love to stop, compose, take my time but when I shoot please want the af to hook up right away! I don't care that I have plenty of time to try again and try again. I don't want to! But then why?, when today's technology allows me to have more performing things! Well done Nikon! sent on 18 Marzo 2026 |
