Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L USM Pros: Construction, strength, economic, clear, excellent blurred, fast and accurate, light despite the appearance Cons: For the price (considering that it is L series) I do not think anyone; on closer inspection, a hood that does a little 'pain due to inconvenience and lack of functionality Opinion: I bought this lens recently, used is on 350/400 euros. I took the non-stabilized version because I do not think stabilization is so useful on these focal lengths, still low even though it arrives at 200. The lens - it would not even need to be said as L series - is robust, compact and (incredibly) lightweight. A first test is very handy, practical to use and is not uncomfortable even if you go for a full day. The tripod ring is not necessary, even for long exposures: if you already have a good tripod for the camera body, you're good to go. Coming to the point, the technical and qualitative part, for me that I have never owned lenses of this caliber, is almost embarrassing: sharpness at very high levels, excellent chromatic range, blurred to say the least exceptional (especially at 200mm F4, of course). Despite the diaphragm is not open, it is extraordinarily bright and performing. Fast, precise, always ready. It's all worth - and I would say even more -the money spent, especially if taken used (in the photographic world the lenses are "almost" always kept very well). The only flaw, in my opinion, the hood: uncomfortable and sometimes resulting almost useless. rnDirei lens absolutely "perfect", and perfection is also given by the price at which it is located. A happy island in the sea of ??the L Series, also affordable by those, like me, who have a limited budget. To have, to try, to taste and to experience, as well. Highly recommended. sent on February 06, 2018 |
