fujifilm_27_f2-8wrFujifilm XF 27mm f/2.8 R WR

Pros: Portability, WR, optical quality and microcontrast sharpness, saturated colors, AF ok on recent bodies, beautiful BW

Cons: Ridiculous lens hood that must be replaced with a third party, to protect against side flares

Opinion: As an amateur. I use it on the go together with the 18-55 zoom and I'm fine. Equipped with vintage lens hood and neutral filter for battle. Mounted on xt30 II, it runs light, I use it in all weather conditions and at sea, obviously paying attention to the camera body which is not wr (sigh!). To tell one story, trekking in the rain, taken out for a few shots, made condensation on the filter, but the optics were perfect. The 40mm eq focal length is great for everything, with a few steps forward or backward, I like it. I often use f8 even on landscapes, clean photos. I also have to say decent detachment on a close-up, at wider apertures. Flares easily enter if you have sunlight coming in at the edge of the focal length. I also have the 35 1.4 which has something extra as a look.. But in trekking with variable weather and more uncertain situations, I prefer the 27, which also gives an extra breather on the landscapes. I also often shoot it in BW and I have to say that the microcontrast makes the photos with a nice texture. I'm left with the doubt vs 23 f2. In the end, the 27, with a suitable lens hood, still has its volumetric footprint. However, after long hesitations I have had it in the kit for more than a year, I am satisfied with it and I use it often.

fujifilm_xt30_iiFujifilm X-T30 II

Pros: File quality. Value for money. Portability. Good battery if you don't have to use it professionally.

Cons: Little or nothing. Maybe tropicalization and stabilizer, but you can't want everything

Opinion: I've had it for two years. First real quality digital camera. Great feelings, I don't use it for video. For photography it offers everything you need. It carries well behind, I added a little extra grip. The battery easily lasts a busy day of vacation, where you shoot a lot. The possibility of having everything manual makes it future prof if you want to do everything yourself. You can sew it quite well as a setting and use it is nice. Bought with zoom 18-55. Then I got vintage fuji lenses, 35 F1.4, 60 2.4 and the 27 wr. Autofocus ok if in S. I would have liked tropicalization, but given cost, I used lp itself even in such conditions. I had a small charge on the joystick for a few hours, then it resolved itself. In fact it is a delicate part and the 4-way pad was perhaps better. Vote 9
